The space between is what leads you inevitably forward into the next daydream of the soul- for a second you’re not looking in the mirror, in fact you know this by the absence of I, it’s us, then it’s just now. Mercy severity, left right brained, male female, spirit and form..the power of music leads you to a new idea/headspace to show you something that you never thought possible. even hearing this the hundredth time my spirit catches a novelty… the experience is novel, bringing us farther back in ‘time’ showing is versions of inverted evolution to inspire our concept of a new future. Go Stare in the mirror for as long as you can stand, until you feel a stranger’s presence, yourself… not a trick of the mind but a truth…you aren’t looking at the operator, you’re seeing a vehicle for I, to diverge, evolve, broaden scope of conscious possibility.
We are not our bodies, were separate, but experiencing life- a chance to trap a reflection of god/conciousness/quantum frequency… build your spirit a temple; a place hardened by the degree to which we made ripples of progress, spreading knowledge, love- being Christ like in our lives as those we are harming, are here exactly as we are: with amnesia,
And capitalism. Be nice to the mirror, it’s you you’re harming, and could end up being the harmed party. Inspire good, attract a beautiful future to leave for the next vessel.
Our ancestors left clues everywhere. Lick a toad too!
The vessel/body (bottle) for consciousness (water)and spirit (grapes)- if you find the right order and topology those things can make water into wine, that we can derive truth from form, contrast its shape against god, and lo we find purpose… fermenting fruit has benefits far better than grape juice.
What we do with truth is up to us, how closely we build our temple of spirit with furthering by progressing… even that is in shadow… somewhat but more that idc to explain anymore lol.
a new patch for a game, is a chance to experience this new angle until the next experience (not just music) that moves you and gives shape to spirit… finding that rhythm, and you can see the footprints, the html, the intricate weave of forces. Via spiritual Experience, contrast and, enlightenment, once realized begets spiritual experience that is the only rhythm that matters while you are here.
Your loved ones will always be near, a soul family, hall of mirrors- you’ll see one day that even the sickest of our loved ones were poisoned by (god this needs to be a novel not a comment) many factors, Prussian education meant to atrophy all desires but fear/obedience/impending doom: preordained, compassionate rending of billions of souls because they lost the pallingenetic geography lotto and didn’t smoke religion like crack. Dogmatism, among other susceptibility to subservient or at least apathetic and along for the ride millennial angst; are all diluting the spirit, and poisoning the mind made more open to enslavement. Embryonic adults remain alert obedient, spreading fear, prescribing deference to any deity/extra sensory experience unquestioned by a mayo brain.
This experience to people who don’t understand reality due to their training manual being published by cogs of an impostor god, written to have gained dominance over our realm, forever testing us to invert the will of godhead/kether/the unmanifest aka the one true all loving god whose existence is incomprehensible and incompatible with this plane or sphere- sent one of his children, direct descendant: a human, if understood, is a number of important ideas… that god is inaccessible, that with mindful compassion, that being Christ like- we can overcome innate sedintary apathy.
Our moral compass is often confused with feeling our way without understanding basic topology- again most of our reality’s workings can be pieced together with lateral thought, research, and applying hermetic constants, universal phenomena, macro micro structures reflect or invert a principle of programming.
by having to fight your own shadow, breaking the egg, growing out of spiritual poverty. Many think only in the shadows on the white wall we will leave behind.
Equilibrium is the will of creation… it’s the macro interval, contrasting the cyclical events and energies of the great year, the ages…a map for those looking.

This song has so much meaning for me. My old man was in his last days in the hospital. I was driving home and this song came on. It was weird but at that time everything came clear and emotions came flooding. This is forever his song. When I saw em in Indy, I cried like a SOB, but was glad I saw em at it live. Thank you Gojira for this song, but not only this song... But all the music you make.

I wish I could like your comment 1000x.
This entire album fills me with a profound sadness each time I listen to it. I lost my aunt on 7 OCT 2016. Her brother, my father, died 14 days later. Both succumbed to cancer. Magma was and continues to be a great coping mechanism for me. It presents us, the living, with a sobering document of watching someone slowly die, losing themselves and their faculties in the process, and hoping that their soul is at rest.

I lost my dad to a brain aneurysm, then my best friend to cancer. "It's in the past you have to let it go." nearly cripples me when i hear it let alone see it in Mario's eyes, Joe's voice and every note played by the band as a whole. This song, this band is so far beyond, it touches and speaks to your soul. Not all music does this. The world is better with these men making this music. I am crying.

On the first light of the day you march on
Departure has arrived, don't look back
Avoid the darkness, stay away, stay out of sight
Until you feel the blast of a shooting star
Following the spark like a rocket in the sky
Between the bear and the scorpion, getting close
Headed north, frozen land, where tigers go to die
Don't fear the cold, it'll numb your memories out
    You are higher
    In the sky
Learn the skill to stay alive, survival
The city is so mean, you're being watched
Reach the tunnel, light the torch, you're on the hunt
Until the light calls you back into the wild
When you get to the other side, please send a sign
It'll fly through the atmosphere in time
And if you hold the truth within your hands
You won't be sent back, through the rain, reborn
    Everlasting love is ever-growing
Hang on to what you have and let it grow
    Everlasting love is ever-dying

I know that Magma isn't a favourite of Gojira fans, but I love it because it's one of the most melancholic albums I've ever heard. Like every song is a eulogy, this song specifically is my favoruite because of how much it riffs on needing to move on from a painful past. Amazing band as always.

I'm french, nearly sixty, amateur drummer and very big fan of John Bonham, Bill Brufford, Gavin Harrison, Elvin Jones and Christian Vander. I discovered my french fellow countrymen of Gojira a few weeks ago. This BBC recording of Shooting Star is the most powerful and moving thing I've seen for such a long time. The look of Mario Duplantier at the end is so deep and meaningful. I can die now. Trop fort. Merci

The strange guitar solo invokes a very very strong swelling of emotion that always leads me to tear up. I feel a mass of positive/negative/speculative emotions that for a moment make me realize everything in this life is impossible to comprehend as a whole. It's a strange hope paired with the deepest desperation.
Gojira is the only band to do this to me regularly and I've listened to almost every band of every genre since the 60s. Rap, folk, indie, experimental, death metal, post-hardcore, nu-metal, country, prog, instrumental, electronic, EDM, punk, grunge, black metal, spoken word, pop, evil disco (shout out static x), and more. Hell, I even enjoy music from other countries where I don't speak the native language lol.
Nothing is, was, or ever will be Gojira once they are gone.

I love how gojira writes their solos, their songs have so many layers of depth that the solos just serve to add a little bit of character rather than being a leading instrument (not saying there's anything wrong with that, its just unique). They do they same thing with the vocals in allot of their songs and it allows the music to really speak for itself in select areas, no one writes music like gojira
