It’s a damn shame we’re never going to get a dub like Part 2’s ever again. The dub cast is still great all these years later but the translations they’re forced to work with nowadays are too literal and take themselves too seriously with no real room for ad-libbing - meanwhile Geneon’s scripts could spin some of the lousiest Part 2 episodes into gold.
Yeah, the dub adds an extra layer to the characters, that just feels missing in the original/newer dubs. Like the fast talk Lupin does in the Part 2dub constantly spatting off limericks, kinda shows off he has a Hyper active, quick thinking mind that would be capable of concocting all the complex plans he comes up with on the fly. Or just the occasional line from any of the characters that adds something to the situation instead of the more flat portrayal in the original
