Back then, I thought it was my last work because of the whole COPPA mess. Thankfully, most of us survived and I intend to do this for every single Lupin character in the main cast. Lol same I almost can't pick a favorite 🥰 Lupin is adorable, Goemon is aDORKable, Jigen is a funny smart-ass, Fujiko is sassy and sexy, and Zenigata is just crazy funny.
Lupin is a smart thief, Jigen is a cool gunman, Goemon is cool because he is a samurai with a really sharp sword, Fujiko is a cunning and seductive thief, Zenigata is a relentless cop. Overall, they're all awesome.
And they only have one braincell between them. Mostly it’s Goemon or Fujiko who has it, but other times none of them do. They’re the dumbest professionals I’ve ever seen and I love them.
Goemon is cool because he's not just a samurai with a sharp sword (there's already literally millions of them). He's cool because he doesn't take that stereotype so seriously and is quick witted.
@@jeramahia123 Speaking of swords, I think Goemon’s sword is cool because it can cut cleanly through steel like it was nothing. I like to think that his sword is some sort of family heirloom the first Geoman probably had and his son had inherited and passed down to his son (who passed it down to his son and so on) in honor of his father’s sacrifice. That’s would be part of the reason why it’s so important to him (with the rest being the fact that a samurai must never be without his sword.)
I've been putting off watching Lupin the Third, but I can't miss these kinds of character interactions. So damn funny, and their chemistry is great! I can see why so many other series have since taken cues from this one.

When are they going to finish dubbing the last 70+ episodes of this series. The cast, except original Zenigata voice over, are back in dubbing the Lupin The Third: The First film . One of the funniest dubs from Anime imo.
They havent done the other 70 because america doesnt have the rights to it. Its a huge debacle because of shit that went on in back while this was being dubbed (the name arsene lupin was copyrighted but entered the public domain in 2012) which is why part 4 and 5 were dubbed. As for the rest of pary 2, we’ll never know

For all the shit this gets as a "gag dub," the Epcar crew actually has always stuck fairly close to the original dialogue. (Well, as close as possible while keeping the lunacy intact.) Especially the first episode. Even the first 26 episodes shown on Adult Swim, which was probably when it was at its most outrageous, wasn't far off if you watch and compare it to the original with subs (obvious anachronistic pop culture jokes aside).
