Absolutely phenomenal video!!! Great for those of us who dont have one yet, but have been curious about how well it works as a daily driver. Good stuff!!!
Great driving, the cameras are one of the vehicles greatest features. One thing you don't appear to know is that you can go to 'home' screen, where the camera icon is, press & hold it & like a shortcut on a phone, you can move it around, specif to the left edge where the 5 ever-buttons are, drop it there & boom. Easy camera shortcut. Great video, great driving, best midsized truck.

I usually put a topper on my trucks which blocks the chmsl camera. Not a big deal for me in the past but now wondering if surround view can work without that camera. If not has anyone tried relocating the chmsl camera to the rear of a topper?
Interesting question. I presume moving it would cause issues being the field of view would change so whatever algorithm blending all the images together would get the wrong vantage point. But maybe GM has or will develop a kit with software to allow moving the camera to a topper.
OH MY GOODNESS how do you fit in there! That is so tight! I would be afraid to pull into there. I ALWAYS park in reverse so I can just drive straight out from a parking spot, but MAN your garage is super tight. I was so scared when you backed up with no spotter and the trucks warning alarm was screaming saying you were about to hit the walls and other vehicle. And doing it with a $50K-$60K loaner.
My situation is worse than this with a vehicle that is literally a hair's breadth away from not fitting in my garage. Length is ok but I have about a quarter-inch's clearance vertically and need to hug the right wall to even open the driver's side door and get out. I need to go in forward because my driveway is so steep that the reverse camera would be pointed at the sky until I was right on top of the garage. Parking sensors are useless because everything is so tight (driveway included) that it's just an indecipherable screaming noise from all sides until I get out into the street.

Hi Jill, Happy belated Turkey Day! Nice demo on city life driving a ZR 2 Colorado! You touched on several pro’s and con’s of driving this vehicle in town and for a prospective large city buyer some food for thought? Do I really need a truck let alone one in this configuration ( as GM, Ford and maybe the upcoming midsize Ram ) will only come with crew cab and same size bed? Toyota and Nissan offer multi bed and cab configurations if size is a big factor for you. Even if you buy a 2X4 or a lower trim level 4X4 Colorado it’s sill going to be the same length and a little narrower and not quite as tall. Is that enough of a difference to buy in a crowded city scape and a lot cheaper too? Now, a safety tip for ATM use. Always look for people standing near the ATM ( avoid ) always have your card in hand before pulling up to ATM. ( distracted drive looking for card is a prime target ) Always scan the area while making your transactions. Park as close to ATM as possible ( folding in mirror if needed ) so no one can get between you and the ATM. As always stay safe and healthy!
Once you struggle with parking it in the garage a couple of times you'll just start parking it in the driveway. It's rainy, it's dark, you're tired, you bumped the wall. Who has 20 minutes to park every day? Once the novelty wears off? Not gonna happen..lol
I think these, most offroad oriented, midsize trucks are just about as wide as half tons. They have narrower cabins but the track width and wheel arches are pretty darn similar so I suspect it’ll behave not too differently to, say a regular cab short bed half ton (being as those are similar in length).
Eh. I don't know. I got a 19 Colorado and it fits comfortably in my Garage, but I had a F-150 for a few days and I wouldn't even dare try to get into it.
@@kabloosh699 sure maybe I was being a bit generous, but this newest Colorado looks to be about half an inch wider than the previous, plus the offroad models are a further 3.5" wider at the fenders. That is getting pretty close to the track and fender width of a half ton.
