@@DH-mf2lvGM is now giving the full sized trucks with the same 2.7 turbo 4 cylinder engine 6yrs/100K warranties starting for 2024 model years so hopefully next year they do the same in the Colorado and Canyon.
Andre looks so happy, like a 20yr old driving his first off road truck off road. I can't wait to do the same. I'm 43yrs old and have never owned a 4x4 truck, all of mine were and are mid sized GM 4x2 trucks and I want to get a Colorado Trail Boss in a few years and start to go off roading
Just a note: 2x4 is a piece of lumber. A 2WD truck is a 4x2. The first number is the number of wheels, the second number is the number of wheels that can be powered.
This is the video I've been waiting for! Respect to Andre for taking his new truck on such an overgrown trail. I do miss when you would go out on actual trails though, I really enjoyed seeing that scenery.
Check out the Colorado fan forum if you want to keep up with the good and bad about the new Colorado and Canyon. I am waiting a few years too to get a Colorado Trail Boss as they will fix some bugs, and hopefully add some stuff to them
I got my trailboss a few weeks ago. Its seems like most of the dealerships in my area ordered them with the 20inch wheels. I would rather have the 18s and MT tires.
Gotta say, the new Colorado looks so good. Personally I just can’t get past the not having immediate access to physical switches for headlights, wipers, etc.
Wipers and cruise control are on the left stalk. Lights are in the infotainment system. I alway use Auto lights, so not a big deal to me. Auto high beam is yet to be determined though. The setting is in the infotainment system, but manual high beam is on the left stalk if you decide to row you own.
I’ve been considering getting a Trail Boss, so I’ve been waiting for an off-road video of it! Would also love to see it on a trail or two. Maybe up against something else.
For the ranch if you wanted to clean the weeds/overgrow but didn’t want to hire people/do it yourself see if someone rents goats in your area. In about 2-3 days those goats will have your ranch cleaned out!
That Colorado is such a good looking truck! I think Chevy knocked it out of the park... especially compared to the Ranger. The Ranger is very capable, but just can't get to liking the exterior styling. I'm also liking that new 2.7 that GM is using. Great video!!!!!!
Andrey's truck IS A SUPERB TRUCK right out of the box! Those Chevy Colorado Trail Bosses can do 4x4 Offroad just fine and the price of it is pretty good for what you get ($40,000 USD) which is sure better than spending $60,000+ USD for the full-size trucks. I would get front AND back 6061 series heavy duty aluminum bumpers and full height and full width bush bars with front and back WARN winches! What I would do however, is buy some 3/16ths inch thick plates of 6061 Series Aluminum and bolt them to the ENTIRE underbody to protect the important parts from rock damage! Add some small ZINC blocks bolted to the aluminum parts to use as a sacrificial anode so that bi-metallic corrosion (i.e. Galvanic Corrosion) does not occur between the truck's steel parts and the aluminum parts of your NEW underbody aluminum skidplate structure and new bumpers and bush bars! For less than $2000 bucks and some welding experience, EVERYTHING that Andrey needs for his Raptorized or Bisonized Trail Boss truck can be had to turn it into a TRAIL MONSTER! P.S. The CruiseControlStore and JEGS have cruise control parts kits AND 3rd party skid plate kits and bush bar/bumper/winch kits for the Colorado! V

Hey guys, running the course in Andre's stock Chevy is informative and fun. Most of us aren't going to buy an already expensive truck and then spend more on suspension and big wheels and tires. It's good to know what a truck will do straight out of the box. Thank you.😊
Some people rag on the G80 but I have a first Gen colorado sport with the 5 cylinder and a bit of nitrous back in the day. I put that G80 through hell and a half and it never gave me any problems. I still have it too 😂
A brave one you are , thanks for doing that course. G80 are so problematic and unpredictable .my g80 gave it up I replaced it with a dura- grip from Yukon gear
I have a 2022 Colorado Z71 with a leveling kit and it will easily do everything I've seen the new model do except look as pretty. That's a great-looking truck. I'm going to wait a year for Chevy to work out any kinks it might have and then trade mine in on one.
Had my truck one month 9500klm. I drive tons of gravel and off road. Wish they added mud flaps factory also just needs a little more lift and push button traction control.
Good to see it plowing through, now if you just had cruise control, maybe Nathan's crack wouldn't have been so bad. Sorry André, sore subject! 😄Great video guys!
I dont blame Andre for taking it slow with a new truck but if he wants to take it off road on a regular basis i would ditch the front air dam, get 70 series tires and locking diffs. this would make it a true off roader and u would be able to plow thru most of that stuff w more momentum. stopping in that deep stuff almost got you stuck but the trail boss still made it out to its credit and the limited slip diff. its just not a hard core trail rig like the ZR2. its more for snow traction and camping on back country fire roads.
Thanks for all the colorado videos. not sure if this was discussed at all but i bought the work truck that doesn't have the welded bits to half lower the tailgate. Why is it an option to have a feature designed to do work? Not as bad an oversight as the cruise control though.
I'm waiting for the 24 Canyons to come out. Production run supposed to start Oct 30th. Hopefully the additional warrenty they are giving the larger trucks with the 2.7 turbo will also be given Canyons and Colorado
Nice truck, Andre picked the best trim model of the group with 9.5" ofclearance over stock 7.9". ZR2 costs too much more for an extra 40 lb-ft of torque and 10.7" of clearance. I'm not sure why the ZR2 claims to have an extra inch of clearance as the 22" wheels have 33" tires over Andre's 32" tires. 1" tires only give .5" of lift or clearance.
It's going to be interesting to see the new Tacoma mid-range trim take on this same stretch sometime (hopefully soon while the swampy terrain is still there. ) really I think this particular truck needs taller tires, and more lift. ..like the ZR2?

Having had an older gen Silverado Z71 with a G80 rear locker unfortunately it is throttle that you need in order to get the thing to work and a lot of times in tight situations it’s slow and smooth that you need which is something you can do with either an air or E-locker but not a G80
I love this video. It also makes me real glad I have the e locker on my ranger. I just know I would hate having to rely on the g80 catching after some wheel spin
310hp 390 torque is very good for a midsize pick up truck the 2.7 f150 makes 330 and 400 in a full size and it’s a quick truck I wonder how this is perfoamnce wise
