    Thanks, as always, Jack. I have many brewers (including an old Bonavita immersion/perc) and to answer your question, my favourite brewer these days is the large Origami Air. I can use either V-60 02 filters (Cafec Abaca 4) or flat bottom (Kalita 185). A close second is the Next Level Pulsar.

    I got mine too recently, and it is a brilliant engineering device, with high quality materials and really well thought out. I'm very happy with the purchase. I got the narrow, and I use the negotiator I already had for my mk3, which works well on the kalita papers. I put the kalita on the negotiator first (bottom side up), pre-wet it with room temp water, then negotiate it into the brewer with a twist. Works like a charm and no need for the super expensive papers 😅

    Hi Jack, nice video! Love your humor xD
    I wanted to know if you could see a big change in brewtime between V3 and V4 wide. Also I would love your insights on how the taste differs. Can you taste more body? Is it less acidic in the flavor profile? It'll be my first flat bottom brewer and I wanna make a good decision wether it'll be wide or narrow

    • @mycoffeeshow111
      @mycoffeeshow111  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thx for watching. Tbh, I don’t know the answer but your question might be an inspiration for another video.
      In the meantime, I prefer the workflow of wide orea, easier to pour the water and
      allows me to brew double batches.

    • @Doron-free
      @Doron-free 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@mycoffeeshow111 thanks for your quick answer. I'd be super interested in a video answering those and other questions around possible differences in workflow and cup results. I guess, coming from a V60 Switch and sometimes being overwhelmed by an unwanted acidity in cups that I didn't expect it in - I'll go with the wide version. Also cause the easier workflow sounds good to me :)

    I wonder if it's possible to use a smaller flat filter(like an aeropress filter), and just "lock" the filter between two parts of orea? If we can do this, then it becomes a cheaper no-bypass solution by using just a small filter (maybe a 1/3~1/4 size sibarist filter).

    • @mycoffeeshow111

      I don’t think it would work in practice (because of the way the attachments are screwed) but definitely an interesting idea. I am sure that more modules will arrive.

    Just got the Orea v4, did a 3 pour using the fast base. Zp6 4.3 setting usually 4.5 as thought would go finer. 15g :240. Draw down was like 3.50 sec 😢 used a washed coffee from apollons Gold. Maybe 3 pour is the issue. I used to do 5 pour on my Orea v3
