Using your method with my current Java Planet Guatemala Organic medium roasted beans, I find I get a better cup of coffee than just using a bloom pour-through stage and then immersion. Thank you. I've learned that water temperature is more important than I previously realized. As you suggest, I think 92-93 degrees is usually about right for my medium roasted beans. For most dark roasted beans I need to go even lower to avoid excessive bitterness.
Nice will have to try this recipe! I've been doing the opposite, holding the water on the first pour to bring out more flavors and using cooler water on the last pour.
This was a great recipe , easy to follow. How to perform when making a larger cup, say 26 to 30 grams targeting between 450-500mL. I’ve been experimenting but I find the second pour doesn’t finish anywhere close to 1:30 more like 2:00 , then I close switch and pour rest. I’m done by 220 and find I still need to release almost immediately at 230 to hit the 400 min brew time. Any advice is appreciated!
Hey man, your recipe on screen is really incorrect! You have the wrong weight for the third pour, and your text says to leave the switch “open” on the third pour.
I bought this Hario. I don't have my grinder yet so using Folger for now. It's great but I am used to at least 1 more ounce in my cup. Overall, a great choice.
Great video! I hope to learn more about the Hario Switch on your channel: recipes, tips and tweaks. It's my favourite device, so versatile!
Thank you for sharing your thoughts, will do that in the future video!
I really like this step-by-step guide. Very easy to try~

Oh man lol seems perfect for a coffee newbie like me

Maybe your grind size is finer than mine so that’s why, but if you like your coffee then I don’t think you need to adjust
Wow, good to know so amazing dripper and video~

I am not pretty sure, maybe just different factory?
Does this taste better than regular V60?
It is like a V60 plus, the rib design is the same as V60.
This one is the best!
Yap! That’s true!
