That is the cleanest, best looking box mod I have seen. You do a great job and pay great attention to detail. It is amazing how meticulous all of your wires are formed in the box mod.
I can honestly say I've watched all your tutorial videos on building a box and have found yours to be the easiest to understand and I like that you show your processes step by step. I'm in the military and started vaping because I wanted to kick my smoking habit. I haven't had a cigarette in over 7 months and have converted dozens of people to vaping as an alternative. I want this box mod because it is by far one of the cleanest builds I've seen. Id use this box myself and could use it to show others how to build their own. Not too many boxes are clean enough that you can take the cover off and explain how to wire everything.
I just found your videos today. I was an electronics assembler for Honeywell for 13 years. I am a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to my solder work. I appreciate the cleanness of your build. I don't have a box mod yet. I would like to win this box because I enjoy vaping and appreciate your build. Thanks so much for the videos!!!
ATTENTION ALL...I apologize but I forgot to mention in the video to only post one comment because I will be using the random TH-cam comment picker to select the winner. If you've already posted multiple comments, please delete your other comments so you only have one. I just want everyone to have a fair chance. FYI...if the picker selects this comment or someone that posted more than one comment, I will do it again. Thank you for your understanding.
hello AI, I have made the same mosfet like you , with a series of similar also . but when I want to try firing it does not work . whether there is something wrong ?
Yona Isandika your Mosfet might be bad or possibly how you wired it or cold solder. Email me a close up pic of the inside of your box mod and I'll take a look at it. Alusafvapes@gmail.com
Whoa, this is some sexy wire porn right here :) Just got into vaping, and I'm loving your box mod. Looked all over TH-cam, and it seems you're the only one to have the tutorial down to its details. Hope the day comes when I can have a setup of my own.
Your device is a work of art... I hope whoever won your drawing last year appreciates the attention to detail you gave in the construction of that beauty. Just great...
Dub Campbell thanks for the compliment. The guy that won it was pretty happy with the mod. He ended up cloning :-) , but used the smaller 1590G and silver wires.
I finally built this mod using solid 12 ga copper wire. I followed the videos you made step by step. this mod hits hard. Now I have more understanding how mods work. I am very thankful for the work you put in to the videos, thank you.
I've been vaping for 2+ yrs now and currently use Snow Wolf mini w/ Griffin or Kennedy rda. I'm ready to venture into mechanical territory and this was the 1st tutorial I clicked on. Living in Charlotte myself I figure why keep searching when this fellow North Carolinian provided what I was looking for? Thanks so much for your video!
I just want to say that thing is sick. The solder joints are art. I hope you have a clear cover for it. It reminds me of my days working in the refinery working around all the pipes.
That right there sir is a mechanical masterpiece, the attention to detail in every aspect, the flowing lines that are subtle yet functional especially with the t5 connection. . Absolutely beautiful build, my hats off of to you. .
I can just tell you take your time and make sure everything you craft is safe, clean and works great. I would love to have a box mod that I felt truly safe and confident to vape on. I know that's what you strive for. Hopefully, whoever you decide to give it to appreciates the craftsmanship you put into it. Keep up the great work!
Thanks for the kind words and prompt reply, pal... I truly appreciate them. Will start my project this weekend. Can't wait to see your next project, pal. Always treasure great minds...
Vaper from Puerto Rico here. Your's is the cleanest build I've seen so far while searching for instructions for building my first box mod.I don.t think I have the skill or patience to make something like that!. I would love to win this to have something to aim for in my build, apart from vaping the heck out of it!.keep the videos coming!
your tutorials have given me the confidence to attempt my first box mod build, dont think my build will look as neat as yours and damn wish my garage was as organised as yours too, good luck to all that enter and keep the tutorials coming... peace out
Wow Al you never seize to amaze me with your builds. I would love to have this box mod because well you know I've been trying to build one myself with no luck because of lack of tools... thanks again and keep up the great work....
I would love this box mod because I think that the bare copper wires look is amazing, and I would share the awesomeness with all my friends. It would also give me inspiration to try and build a mod like this myself so I can gift it to someone else.
Beautiful wiring bro. It’s the cleanest and clearest example I’ve seen on TH-cam. Very well done. Since it’s not insulated I’d stick with the 14 gauge because it’s less likely to move and short out on itself or the box.
I would like to own this box mod first and foremost because it is american made, by one of the finest builders I have seen so far. You take great care and pride in your work and it shows. I would be honored to own this work of craftsmanship that you have created.
I would like the box mod because i don't have one and it would be great to get my first one from a fellow airman. Thanks for posting these videos to help people learn to build their own boxes. I plan to try my own when i get back from Korea. But that's more than a year away.
Hopefully I didn't miss the giveaway. I just watched your videos on box mod building and I gotta say they were really helpful. Beyond just wanting to switch to a box mod, I also would love the chance to see one prebuilt to help with making future boxes myself. I've done diy juice for almost a year now so now I'm on to DIY mods. Thanks again for all the info!
Hey, I have been searching for box mods, like 1-2 months, and I just couldnt find nice and clean like yours and especially cheap box mod, because all of them are just too expensive for me... I was thinking about making one, but that would be as a great lesson for me, to study it better and to have more knowledge about box mods, so I would be very grateful if I would be the chosen one, but good luck for everyone, all subscribers deserves it :) Good job
I've been meaning to get a parallel box mod and then I started thinking of building my own, that's how I found your build tutorial here. That finished product is real clean!! I'm taking a shot at this awesome box mod giveaway.
Damn !!! That truly is a beautiful build man... One of the cleanest, if not the cleanest I have ever seen... I definitely want this very badly, talk about a custom piece that shows pride in construction...Awesome... If I win this I would show it off to everyone and be able to carry it with pride... Unlike some of the other boxes out there, that I don't think I would ever leave the house with... I have been looking to either build or purchase an 18650 parallel box but after seeing this, nothing is going to compare... Thanks for the chance bro, amazing... =)
+Jacob Tran I can't reply to your comment...but here's my answer or opinion about heatshrinking the mosfet. I don't recommend wrapping the entire mosfet with a heatshrink because it produces heat...you don't want to contain the heat, you want it to dissipate. Basically just secure the mosfet directly on the box using an epoxy or thermal adhesive. I've seen other people solder the mosfet heatsink tab directly on the 510 connector nut. The mosfet heatsink tab is directly connected to drain so this saves you from using a wire to connect the mosfet drain to the 510 negative.
That is one awesome cleanly built box mod. You have inspired me to build a clean mosfet box mod. Thanks for the videos. I will be looking forward to your next box mod video.
nice nice nice build i was skeptical on how you used that transistor at first but then i just reffreshed myself on how transitors work and wooooooooow nice using the transistor to use the full power of the battery without frying your switch is a very nice inivation
I've watched a plethora of these videos and hands-down yours is by far the best good job bro! . Your video inspired me to break down mine and start over
I surely don't think I am entitled to the box, but I would love a chance to win it..I literally sat here for hours going over your last few videos. and after I did, I successfully built my first box mod. Since I got to watch this tonight, I'm going to add my mosfet. Thanks brother!
The soldering flux or soldering paste, which are the same thing, aren't used to spread the heat of the soldering tip. The soldering flux is used to deoxidise the component conductors that we want to solder together because if we don't make sure to perfectly deoxidise every conductors that we intend to solder together the solder will not stick where there will be oxidation. That's why we always apply some soldering paste or flux on all component conductors and printed circuit traces that we want to solder together prior to heat them with the soldering iron tip.
That was the most educated advice and the cleanest box mod, even comared to some of the highend models. I'm gonna give it a try right a-way. would love to have my mentor's box mod done on you-tube exellent job my friend.
Just as a heads up, G stands for Gate not ground. The gate to drain voltage is what determines the source to drain connection is closed. Also, the large metal tab is connected to the drain and can get very hot with large amounts of current. It looks like your resistor is laying up against it. I would recommend lifting it away from the tab otherwise it may begin to melt it.
Thanks for the awesome chance 👍 I would like to have it because its a super clean build and I've been wanting a dual 18650 box. Thanks again for the chance.
This looks like one of those slate circuits. I don't think that this is the safest way of doing it , but the idea is clear. Simply wire up a battery a mosfet and a button with a 510 connector and you just saved 70 dollars.
TY for sharing all of your videos with us and, for giving us a chance to own 1 of your masterpieces. You make everything look so easy and professional. Again TY for giving all of us a chance to win.
Again, impressive! Very clean, love the use of the same gauge solid copper wire throughout in addition to the layout. Very professional. Blown away. Thanks for sharing.
Well i miss the boat on your give away, but these things do happen. I am looking forward to using your very informitive DIY video to build my very first box mod. This vid will be super helpful in my attempt to build. Thanks for the explaination to do this build. Ill be looking forward to see more from you in the future. Thnx
genius build..thanks for sharing this video.for sure a whole lot of people will try this super clean wiring of yours sir.can't wait to see what and how your going to build your next masterpiece.
Man what a beautiful build. I would love to have this mod in my collection. I have always wanted a box with a mosfet. Thanks for the chance to win this.
hey man, your tutorials are the cleanest, and most detailed ive seen. i appreciate the videos. i would love to own one of your boxes as i cannot afford a custom built box mod. Your boxes are very clean, and i can see how much hard work you put into them. keep up the good work and thanks for all the great videos
Thanks alot man. I'm going to give it a try. Your work is on point man. I've seen plenty if boxes on here and instagram and I haven't seen anything close to as clean as your boxes.
Awesome build! It is super clean and looks to be well thought out, especially with the addition of the mosfet. You said you would be drawing on the 8th of Nov. My birthday is the 15th which would mean I would get this right around that time if I were to win. Probably the best birthday present I could ask for! Thank you for your tutorial!
First of all every build that you have done has been amazing and perfect . I just built my first box mod and its OK and I look up to you to see how u can improve my next one. I would love to have this box mod because it is awesome and I could use it to learn how yo make one like you as well .
Just watched all of your videos and I really enjoy the way you explained everything and your build is absolutely beautiful. I've been looking at building my own and everything seems to be out of stock! I don't think I could come anywhere close to something as nice as yours. Either way, I'd just really love having it as my first box mod and I'd probably use it as a guide/inspiration to build my own sometime in the future. Thanks for the awesome vids, keep it up!
I would LOVE to win this box mod because its a beautiful piece of work/art! By far the most sexy wiring I've seen, I would proudly show it off and people would drool over the insides! And of course when they ask about it refer them to the almighty AI USAF!!! KEEP UP THE FANTASTIC WORK SIR!
you can use silicone thermal glue to stick the fet on your case. it will electrically insulate the drain but will conduct heat. whole case will be a heatsink. will be better than regular glues.
This may be the best video on this topic on TH-cam. Subscribed based on your demeanor and exactness of execution. Great content! By the way, I want this boxmod so I can use it as a tangible reference to build and develop from. Plus the internals just look really cool..lol.
don't get me wrong, first pin in mosfet is gate not ground. fitst pin is gate, midle pin is drain, and third pin is source. and resistor is connected from gate to source. gate is trigger for current flow from drain to source, you can input postive for gate or you can use pulse if you want ajust flow current. remind me if im wrong
As always great video man. Your videos are always very helpful and very informative for the vaping community. Who ever you choose to give that box mod to, will be a very lucky person. The box mod itself is truly one of a kind for the simple fact that it was made with fine attention to detail and the build itself is of your own doing. Great job and keep up the good work. -Mike Ramos.
Great video man. When I first saw one of your videos about your wooden box mods, I knew I gotta have one! So let's see if this guy wins!! Keep up the great work man!
Hi Al USAF... First of all, I congratulate you for the awesome build. I have finally found something truly cool in modding a box mod. For a month or so, I have been gathering info and items required in building the exact mod that you have featured here. I have all the items except two... 1. I can't get a hammond box here in Malaysia but that's solved. I made my own wooden box. 2. This is the biggest one... locating a 14 gauge or lower, solid copper wire. I have a 16 gauge solid copper wire and that's the lowest gauge I can find thus far. I want to get a 14 gauge. Now, yesterday a friend told me that he has a 16mm cable with 7 strands of solid copper wire in it. I haven't seen it yet. Been trying to look up the spec of 16mm electric cable in the internet but to no avail. Did some other reading and found that 10 gauge solid copper wire can hold up to 30 amp... Here are my questions... Would it be okay to use 10 gauge? Or anything lower than 14 gauge solid copper (If I can get one)... Would it affect the perfomance in terms of voltage? I am using the exact setup like yours with dual parallel 18650 batteries, 3 amp rated switch, N channel mosfet and a fatdaddy 510 connector. I am preparing to build this very soon. I appreciate you kind reply. Anyway, congratulations on your awesome build again, pal. Truly a masterpiece...
Thanks Ralph! Yes you can use the 10 gauge wire. You just have to file or sand it down to fit the 510 positive pin and probably the switch. Also because the wire is thicker, just make sure the wires will not be touching each other, especially when you solder them onto the Mosfet. Good luck on your build. It should perform better because it will handle a lot more amps. Good luck on your build.
I want this box mod because the wiring is so perfect I've seen a few box mods where the wiring is just horrible! But, your just looks super clean and I would love to have it! I would also love to make my own like this one just right now isn't the right time for me. If I win this give away id love it so much. Thanks for giving us the opportunity to win it!!
man i love this box. i would love to own it because your videos have gotten me so interested in making some myself but i am trying to get my dad to do it with me that way we can build them together and it would be like old times father and son in the work shop. thank you so much for your insight
very sick! i would like this box mod because i really admire the effort you put in your work into making it very nice and clean. i also always wanted a box mod for a long time now but the prices for one are always so high that i cant afford lol. even if i dont get to win this box mod i can build one now because of your amazing tutorial you made. thank you!!!
That's an awesome box..I can tell you put a lot of pride in your work, you inspired me to start building my first box..thanks man!! I'm also a n.carolina native...I'm from goldsboro..that's why I should win the box😄
Hi there again... Thanks for the prompt reply, pal... Indeed it works better now. It was entirely my mistake as I thought I shouldn't solder the connecting copper wire to the positive and negative battery sled. At first, I left them floating, hoping that the pins will compress itself once I slot in the batteries. Well, I thought wrong and that affected the performance of the entire firing. When I looked back at your video and boom.. there it is. I saw you soldered the copper wire to the positive and negative battery pins on the sled. I learned from there. Thanks so much, pal. No issue on the solid copper wire... plus I added a switch... fearing I might accidentally press the firing button while travelling. Again... thanks so much for the help and guidance. Appreciate it big time. I wish I can send you the picture of my diy mosfet mod (credit to you) to you, pal... It works like a charm now... Vape On.
Ralph J no problem, that was my plan and reason for posting the videos...to help others. I also made another similar box mod, except I used the smaller 1590G and a tactile switch (same switch used on the older DNA20 box mod). I didn't need a master switch because you have to put a lot more pressure to fire that type of tactile switch compared to a regular pushbutton switch. Doesn't fire on its own when I have my box mod in my pocket.
That is the cleanest, best looking box mod I have seen. You do a great job and pay great attention to detail. It is amazing how meticulous all of your wires are formed in the box mod.
No more no less then they should be formed
It ain't no good when you need to fix something.
Just love your build and the wiring just looks epic. Thanks for this video.
Richard Hinds thanks!
Thank you. Good movie
I just found your videos today. I was an electronics assembler for Honeywell for 13 years. I am a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to my solder work. I appreciate the cleanness of your build. Still my favorite box builder.
I love your craftsmanship. I love the way the bare wires are layed out, nice and clean.

Whilst i would have done this differently, i am filled with admiration for the quality of your work.
Thank you.
Whoa, this is some sexy wire porn right here :)
Just got into vaping, and I'm loving your box mod.
Looked all over TH-cam, and it seems you're the only one to have the tutorial down to its details.
Hope the day comes when I can have a setup of my own.
1 simple reason friend, I admire your attention to detail and your building techniques and would love to own one of your box mods.
Thanks Brother...
Can I win
Not really a vaper but your video shows me a practical application of MOSFETs of which I have just learnt about, thanks mate.
I would love to have that box mod because of the simplicity yet very powerful design , I do love the creative design of this box .
I finally built this mod using solid 12 ga copper wire. I followed the videos you made step by step. this mod hits hard. Now I have more understanding how mods work. I am very thankful for the work you put in to the videos, thank you.
Steve Martin congrats on your successful build...I'm sure it won't be your last. No problem.
I would like to have your box mod to give to my wife as a gift. Your craftsmanship is top notch. Keep up the good work.
I think your box mod is a work of art and who ever gets it is a lucky individual and I can only hope I'm so lucky
I've been vaping for 2+ yrs now and currently use Snow Wolf mini w/ Griffin or Kennedy rda. I'm ready to venture into mechanical territory and this was the 1st tutorial I clicked on. that's not just a box mod its a piece of art and a piece of creativity
Thanks for the kind words and prompt reply, pal... I truly appreciate them. Will start my project this weekend. Can't wait to see your next project, pal. Always treasure great minds...

Thanks!
This is probably the cleanest box I've seen...awesome job man and I'm definitely going to build one exactly like this
Swamp Donkey thanks...definitely try it out.
I would like to own this box mod first and foremost because it is american made, by one of the finest builders I have seen so far. You take great care and pride in your work and it shows. I would be honored to own this work of craftsmanship that you have created.
Clean build. Glad to see you started using a MOSFET. Would love to have you mod.
Ive never owned a box mod just mech mod clones, and this thing like absolutely beautiful! i would love to chuck vapor like you man keep it up!

I've been meaning to get a parallel box mod and then I started thinking of building my own, that's how I found your build tutorial here. That finished product is real clean!! I'm taking a shot at this awesome box mod giveaway.
Seriously CLEAN build. Respect for that! This video made good clarification before wiring for a LiPo.
Nice and clean wiring Al. That's patience.
Damn !!!

Love the solid bare wire look. Great build and video. Changed how I am planning my first build. Thank you

This vid will be super helpful in my attempt to build. Thanks for the explaination to do this build. Ill be looking forward to see more from you in the future. Thnx
I want this mod because I really liked the home connections, simple and incredible
Outstanding build!! I love the solid wire design. It looks like indoor plumbing!
genius build..thanks for sharing this video.for sure a whole lot of people will try this super clean wiring of yours sir.can't wait to see what and how your going to build your next masterpiece.
that's the most cleanest wiring i've ever seen....
tony delacuesta thanks Tony!
Man what a beautiful build. I would love to have this mod in my collection. I have always wanted a box with a mosfet. Thanks for the chance to win this.
Wow what a great build. Super clean. You are pretty skilled my friend.
hey man, your tutorials are the cleanest, and most detailed ive seen. i appreciate the videos. i would love to own one of your boxes as i cannot afford a custom built box mod.
That's a piece of art that's some very clean wirering great work men!!
Very nice tutorial series. That wiring looks great. Would love to add one to my collection. What a looker.
What a bad ass box. I wish i could wire that good. Looking forward to ordering parts and trying my first box next week
you can use silicone thermal glue to stick the fet on your case. it will electrically insulate the drain but will conduct heat. whole case will be a heatsink. will be better than regular glues.
damn the internals are clean as hell. Excellent work.
-Mike Ramos.
what a great job on this bud. I like how clean the build is with the solid copper wire. looks great and i am sure it works awesome......good job
Clean work! I'm just learning to solder now and I'm using your work in this box as my "end-goal".
Nicholas Kessler thanks and good luck to you. The build part might be a pain but it'll will pay off once you start using you're own creation.
Great video man. When I first saw one of your videos about your wooden box mods, I knew I gotta have one! So let's see if this guy wins!! Keep up the great work man!
Love this box mod! SUPER CLEAN BUILD! awesome work!
Thanks Andrew!
Nice clean build man! Just ordered parts to build one myself. I hope mine turns out as nice as yours! Keep up the good work!
***** thanks Tony, good luck with your build. Let me know how it turns out or if you have any questions.
YOU MADE A VERY, VERY CLEAN BUILD - BRAVO!!!!!!!
very sick!
i would like this box mod because i really admire the effort you put in your work into making it very nice and clean. i also always wanted a box mod for a long time now but the prices for one are always so high that i cant afford lol. even if i dont get to win this box mod i can build one now because of your amazing tutorial you made. thank you!!!
That's an awesome box..I can tell you put a lot of pride in your work, you inspired me to start building my first box..thanks man!! I'm also a n.carolina native...I'm from goldsboro..that's why I should win the box😄
Dude, super job, that thing is sweet on the inside. I am very impressed.
C Lane thanks!
