"Breaking Point" was always my fav deep cut on the Journeyman album so it's really great to see this. Looks like this was supposed to be on the "24 Nights" video but got cut. What a shame. IMHO, this is one of Clapton's coolest tracks.
Probably because it wasn’t a well known song & was hard to play live. It also had a real 80’s sound to it & Clapton sadly steered away from that sound once the 90’s arrived.
@dafababa i agree in some points. i think his 80s material is maybe as good as his 60s+70s hit materials. its just more pop music than blues rock, but i like both, i like all kinds of music (rap rock pop etc ) and the 80s were just the decade where pop music was at its best. i agree that his early 80s album money + cigarettes is REALLY lame - i love 3 songs off another ticket though
No, Nathan East hasn't been in the band since 2004. EC's bassist these days is Willie Weeks and on drums he has Abe Laboriel Jr. at the moment. Steve Gadd will be back on the drums for the May-June tours.
Have never seen this video before.I thought I had seen them all. Love it. They all are so young
When he was hip and had an awesome band

KoolCat ! No alibis was good as well
Yes indeed. That whole album was magnificent.
The only tracks I don't like on it are Hound Dog and Hard Times.
And now this one is on the album❤
Clapton is a genius, no question about it!
Jimi Hendrix as whispering the notes to Clapton on the last solo
you have to wait for the breakdown at the end guys. also love that it opens with a Stevie wonder song
Greg is a great singer!
Funky Clapton funk'n around.
Sync terrible, recording terrible, uh...yeah. Intro is stellar. Performance is just plain blistering great. Love this video's musical tension.
Fantastic performance.!
SUPERB!!
Eric clapton 💓💓💓💓💓

Nice nod to Stevie Wonder at the beginning.

Anyone know how many live recordings of this song are available, I was only able to find 2. At RAH and this.
This was actually from RAH in 1990. So I think there’s only one live recording outside of maybe a few bootlegs.
Is this a song about the world economy?
Actually he uses Willie Weeks now (Former bassplayer of Stevies xD)
They added lyrics???? At the first
I couldn't understand the beginning What do they sing in the beginning?
Maybe your baby - Stevie wonder.
Here's another performance of this song by Eric: th-cam.com/video/mtp5utbvs-s/w-d-xo.html
