Much easier to find an A4, especially one mated to a manual transmission & in a car that isn't clapped out already. If you all motor a K24A4, you'll in essence have the equivalent of an all motor K24A2 minus the additional block drilling. Finally, you can always swap the heads... you need stronger piston heads & connecting rods for the 3 lobe system in an A4/A8, but if you're all motoring, you'd've already done that.
HC2 minimum comp weight for A4 is only 2500 so if you've already been running a B18C5 you don't have to change your sprint rates or dampening set up to account for ballast
