    My wife and I are big fans of Maui. We've been there 12 of the last 18 years. You can say that we are in love with our new found home. Oh yes, we did the road to Hana twice. By now we have done most of the tourist stuff, so we can just kick back and enjoy the aloha, and diving!!! Thank you for sharing your experience with everyone. Maybe one day we will run into each other and have a Mai tai. ALOHA!!!🤙🤙🤙

    @ the 10 minute mark y'all entered a lava cave. At what mile marker is this located? Thanks in advance!

    • @MattAndAlexVlogs
      @MattAndAlexVlogs  ปีที่แล้ว

      This lava tube was located at mile marker 23. It’s a very small opening, so it’s a “blink and you’ll miss it” type of thing. There are additional lava tubes at mile 31, but those are not free like this one is. Thanks for watching! 🤙🏻

    This documentary will really help tourists plan and customize their trip as per the needs. You have captured nicely for almost 12 hours of journey into a 30 mins video. I need a quick info. If someone plans to go straight up to Hana from Kahului and plan to do sightseeing on the return journey, are all spots accessible easily in this opposite journey?

    • @MattAndAlexVlogs
      @MattAndAlexVlogs  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for watching! Yes, since it is only one road, you can easily go straight to the end and then turn around and hit the stops on the return trip.

    How early did you start your day and how crowded was everything? Would you recommend taking 8&10 year old kids to the red sand beach?

    • @MattAndAlexVlogs
      @MattAndAlexVlogs  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      We left around 6:30am or so. The only crowded spots we came across on the day were Twin Falls and Aunty Sandy's (but the line moved fast). Everything else was honestly not too bad at all. We do not recommend taking kids to Red Sand Beach given the dangerous hike it takes to get there. Definitely not for kids!

    I went to Hana just last wednesday and to let everyone know here, Red Sand Beach at "12.56" in your video is a private property and the access road is blocked with many signs of NO Tresspassing. It is a resort property that has access to this beach and the dangerous hike down to the beach is actually illegal going by the constant reminders posted on the road. It also has no parking space on that street. Please tread at your own risk. I was disappointed to not find this information in your vlog before I went there.

    Such an awesome journey! Too bad Braddah’s hut was closed. It was 10 years ago when we last did Road to Hana and we didn’t need reservations to Black Sand beach. My gf (now wife) had the same reaction when going down to Red sand beach. I enjoyed hiking down and swimming in Wailua Falls the most (still have the pictures there)

      Wish we would have known beforehand! Our bellman told us about the reservations the night before (he was the one that gave us the directions to the Red Sand Beach). Next time!

    • @MattAndAlexVlogs
      @MattAndAlexVlogs  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      We went in mid August and the roads weren’t bad at all! Had to pull over a couple of times to let people pass, but we left our hotel early to get a jump on it and nothing was super busy. Thanks for watching!

    I forgot to mention that if you intend on doing a lot of snorkeling you may want to invest in a snorkeling vest. You place two breaths into the vest and you are good to go. They also pack very good in your suitcase. There are manual fill and manual fill with an emergency inflator in case you feel you are getting into trouble. Take care and enjoy your honeymoon.

      @@MattAndAlexVlogs Make sure the ones you buy have a crotch strap, it will keep the vest in place and it won’t ride up your neck.
