I’ve been having a really rough go with my physical and mental health and your videos are adding a bright spot to my life 💕
Loved this challenge. I’m an ambulatory wheelchair user. I haven’t been using my chair as much since Covid because trips out are less frequent and shorter duration, but you immediately notice nothing is made for your height when you’re sitting. The constant reaching hurts your shoulders/neck/back. Something as simple as checking out at the grocery store self checkout is much more difficult.
Thank you so much!! That was something I noticed right away as well and yes I said that off camera how its more difficult to pay for the groceries! It gave me a new perspective and helped me see how it is to be in a wheelchair! Thanks for watching and tonight we are posting our first reaction video to wheelchairs in public and its our first attempt at education and humor lol
Thank you for opening peoples eyes. Theres so much ppl take for granted every day. With my mom being in a wheelchair and my my old man being legally blind, there is a lot that needs modified and you have to find new ways to every day things. I hope that this changed some peoples views and gave a bit of insight into how much more mentally strong you have to be with a physical disability. keep up the great work.
Awh thank you so much for watching the video and seeing our reason for making this video! It means a lot to both of us and we hope others get a better perspective or insight into disability by watching this! We hope you have a good holiday season 💖
This video was amazing. Before i had my youtube channel, i did a challenge where i had one of my sighted friends use a white cane for a day and go shopping at the grocery store with their eyes closed. They first started out with crossing the street without depending on the traffic light signals, and instead, learned how to listen to the parallel and purpendicular traffic to determine if it was safe to cross the street. Once my friend heard the parallel car moving on her left, she crossed the street and did well! 16:53
I love this video and the challenge. I'm also an ambulatory wheelchair user. I have severe arthritis in both knees so walking is very painful. I'm only able to walk short distances, and the rest of the time I'm in my chair. Everything is more challenging from the chair as you demonstrated. Thank you for showing it all. Take care, the both of you.
I gotta say I appreciate everything about this video. His love and respect for u shows as so does yours for him. This video made me emotional because it took me back to 2019 when I first became a wheelchair user and not only couldn't use my legs, but lost them both so the stares have always been difficult to adjust to. Not everyone means to but there are Definitely some ppl that are flat out mean & it's just something we have to accept or choose to live miserably while others move on with their merry life. I don't just say it because I myself am wheelchair bound either, but the strength that pours from her being, is undeniably incredible. Let me add that you're gorgeous girly. You've got such a beautiful smile 😊‼️ Thank you for this video and thank you for existing💞💞

That was interesting! Getting in and out of cars definitely takes extra time and is annoying when you have multiple stops. I hate the dirty hands and coats and cold wheelchair rims in winter. Hard to find gloves that are warm enough but thin enough to push with.
That’s definitely an eye-opening experience! Thank you for having the courage , to Show people that take walking for granted ….how difficult life can really be in a Wheelchair! Great video , glad you guys did that!

Hi you guys, After a good life of being an athlete/mountaineer I've been on forearm crutches and a wheelchair for sometime. I first saw your video about crystal mining in Mount Ida. My professional career has been in jewelry and gem cutting along with mineral collecting. You two are so cool! The real deal! I have one suggestion. This is what I do when I need to cut vegetables or something I use like a wooden seat of a chair or a coffee table. Also when he was going out of the car and said it felt like the grab hand thing on the ceiling of the car but like he would break it. It reminds me of the one time that I was getting into this really old car like really old and I went to grab that and it snapped. That was painful. Luckily I didn't fall but I did cut my hand on it and I was right on my palm where I've used my push rims right in that line.
Due to cancer and/or chemo I now have neuropathy in my hands and feet. I've lost all muscle tone in my hands and feet. Around the house I use a walker and an electric scooter outside. I have fallen recently and had to be picked up by emt's. My life has changed so radically. I want to learn to drive again but need hand controls for gas. I'm still making car payments. Seeing the car sitting out there dsy after day is driving me crazy. My left foot can manage the brake I think.Any suggestions ? Good luck in all your future endeavors..Reme
I have been in a wheelchair 5 years. I had a massive stroke that left me paralyzed. I am a T4 paraplegic. I went to a nursing home to recoup from the stroke and I ended up with a Stage 4 wound on my backside. Slow process to heal because of where it was located. I already had a catheter but now I have a colostomy to keep the wound clean. It was so bad I had groups of students to come look at my ass 😂. Let me tell you getting sick I am not shy at all 😂. Anywhoooo I went to a spinal cord rehab unit but I couldn’t do much and they had a hard time training me because I couldn’t sit on my wound. Then insurance ran out 😞so I ended up in another nursing home to recoup started getting some light therapy one day I got sick and almost died. I was unconscious for 4 days I woke to hear that I had septic shock I also had a chest tube and I was on dialysis all because the nursing home didn’t change my catheter and it fused to my intestines which some was removed. I was in ICU for 31/2 weeks tried to move me to a regular room and I coded twice and I was back in ICU again for another 2 weeks. I got to a regular room was there another 31/2 weeks. I left there and came to my current nursing home where I have been for 4 years they care has been very good and getting ready to leave. Just started getting out doing things with my daughter, visited my sister’s house. I appreciate what you are doing. Just hearing someone else speak what I am feeling is gratifying. I hope I didn’t overshare. Thank you ❤️

I'm also a para and I have the same exact stove. Good choice. lol
Thank you ❤️
True love ❤️
