Only thing missing was some chilli sauce! Beautiful job mate. I’m buying one of these jumbucks tomorrow to do a charcoal chicken next weekend for Mother’s Day!
One day the rote rod dislodged from the motor. And it's important to have the correct charcoal and enough of it. Tricky things to use. Still working on it. But you perserverd, well done!
Doesn't that suck when you have enough to drink. Your Hungry, maybe even starving. You think it will take 1 hour but it ends up taking 3 or 4 hours. so all that time you just keep drinking. ooof, I've been there. Still going there almost every day. MATE!
3 hours is intensely long ah! Why didn't jumpbuck come with a lid? It's a no from me I'm pretty sure most guests I know would be griping after just half an hour. Most guests come to BBQ hungry and expecting food to be either ready to eat or the wait would be under half an hour (ìf you can't serve food straight away to under half an hour your Sh@# host!) One could par broil it first but that really it just takes all the fun out of it seeing it cook from scratch hey! Why does anyone put it on a spit if it takes that long might as well BBQ it. I thought it was to save time - it must be to influse all that smokiness. Most barbies I have be en to have had enough smokiness for $85 for a bit of theatre and an intense amount of waiting!

It's a counterbalance, it evens out the weight on the spit 😀

I totally agree, it's fun at first , but after a few cooks I was putting the lid of the old Webber on top to hold in some heat 🤔
