Robert Foster his playstyle apparently will now rely more on normals than specials. Good changes really. I just wish they made him a little more different. Bounce bracelet... Light speed dash... Idk half his moves feel the same
That might be from the main event. Spindash is apparently hard nerfed and only useful for punishing. It might be a ditto, but being unable to shield cancel means it's way harder to spam.
His moves are the same but the new mechanics allow him to make better use of them. Dtilt is now a combo starter (like it was in brawl) and is apparently safe on shield, ftilt, fair, bair, and nair are also relatively safe on shield, His up smash actually kills now, and BSBS is gone meaning spindash is much more flexible in the air/neutral. Oh, and Homing attack is practically unreactable making it a viable aerial approach tool in neutral or frame trap to punish air dodges. So yeah, same overall moveset, but the new mechanics drastically change how he can be played.
I hope you are joking because Sonic is very different in this game. His spin dash was hard nerfed since you can't shield cancel out of it anymore. However, due to the new mechanics of this Smash game (as well as some intentional buffs it seems) his normals are way better and so it seems he will be a neutral heavy character with solid grab combo game but his specials will likely only be used for punishing since he has to fully commit to a spin dash this time around and shield is a good option to counter it.
anyone else notice that the game shows you all of the alt color options when you're changing colors on the css? this game has so many cool UI improvements
He looks the same honestly. Just a rebalancing of power. Faster aerials but slower and worse smash attacks. His old smash attacks were far better, especially his old up smash which is basically the best smash in the game. His new one is like smash 4 ikes up smash which is not good.
Doom Nah i agree he looks about the same. Like he said rebalancing of power. Still the same old ganon where if he gets hit off stage he is basically dead.
@@MyKeal agreed, he'll probably be low kid tier or something. his smashes look worse. Faster aerials wil help him but I guess we'll see by how much. He looks so cool now tho lol
HeroShade _09 No. You must be hearing something else in the distance. Whenever I watch people play Link I don't hear him go "HYAHHH" when he does A attacks or his up-b. The same goes for when you taunt, you hear nothing. If you go watch C. Falcon's trailer you'll see him do down taunt but wouldn't really say anything. I don't know about you but I barely any voices; only sound effects.
Yo good stuff on these players showcasing the advance techniques! Starting at 3:05 you can see them showcasing dash dancing and the new perfect shielding (with options). Edit: also check out 4:10 for the sick ganon parry -> dash forward -> dash attack
Ganon looks crisp so far. Marth, it seems like they got him some good buffs and some of the best attributes of the previous smash games. I mained him in three smash games, gonna be dope to see how he does in Ultimate. PkmTrainer looks hella improved compaired to Brawl. A lot of buffs, increased speed, frame data, damage outputs and the quick exchange that lets you extend combos looks insane and has a huge potential IMO. To Falco: well... didn't see much of him yet, but from what I've seen, I can tell that he has got SOME improvements. He's got a faster Laser and his Dair comes out faster Still looks pretty unviable in my Eyes. I hope they make at least for Falco land cancels a thing
ツJo-Kun the best thing about Pokemon trainer is of one of your Pokemon has trouble with fighting one character, you can just switch to a different Pokemon that does better in the match up.
Side-B Ganon slid off the the edge @4:30 wasn’t this non-existent in the demo during E3? Or am I confusing that with the whole Fox phantom not going through characters?
Jhordy Ayala if you mean ledge cancel as in melee and not like in smash 4, I have to tell you to not have a lot of hopes on it, since the down b of Ganondorf is one of the few attacks that can ledge cancel in smash 4.
Maybe Ganon will rise from bottom tier and take mid tier. I wouldn't be surprised if he isn't high tier. That speed and startup in some moves hinder him. I would be fine for him to be High-Mid Tier to Low-Mid Tier
Feli Yeah I saw that. His neutral game is eh, but that was one matchup against a character who's is mainly disjointed and has strong and consistent projectiles. His lack of any projectiles hurt him, but I stand by the notion that he might be mid tier in the game
+Feli The character is still being fleshed out since there were a lot of changes made. Ganon has really good options in neutral now, such as SH > AC Nair which is safe on shield. Also, since he has more speed now, things like tamahawks and dash grabs are actually decent with him now. Before they were pretty risky, but now he can actually use them really well. He will still struggle vs projectiles, but, not NEARLY as much as in Smash 4 given his massive speed buff. I can easily see him being mid tier now.
As a Ganon main, it riddles me to see alot of F-Air and D-Airs. Usually B-Air and Neutral A are the best options for stage control. What I'm seeing here is people playing is if this was Melee Ganon.
The reduced landing lag on all his aerials means that he does play a lot like MeleeDorf, though it also looks like a lot of Smash 4 stuff carries over. Ganondorf right now looks like he actually has a few viable options in neutral, as opposed to 4 where he had fairly limited options. Fair/Dair are still riskier than Nair/Bair, but Fair now has a good hitbox and is a lot safer. Dair is still probably pretty unsafe but the reduced landing lag should open up more combos off of it and it's not as horrible on whiff.
F-air has more reach, and both aerials now have far less landing lag so they're safe on shield, especially with the damage buff (down air now does 24 instead of 19 like in Smash 4) why wouldn't they want to use it?
미셜비 That's probably because they got a universal aerial mobility buff. Feels more like Melee when they go airborne, though the ground momentum (seemingly) doesn't get transferred into the air
As a ganondorf main... I think I have to say that we need more "technical ganon players" in Smash 5 rather than those who still believe landing a d-air w/ ganon is hype which isnt.
At 0:43 someone tell Nintendo we don't want inconsistency with animation + hitbox. We've had enough of that in smash 4 (bayo jab, Duck Hunt smashes, zard fair, etc.
Dair autocancels super early (1:46) Shorthop Uair still autocancels Shorthop fastfall Nair is REALLY fast Down B has much less cooldown and is lower to the ground SWORD SMASH ATTACKS Higher run speed with better animation God I actually can't wait to play Ganon
What do you think its more important, fixing the histun/knockback in order to get more combos or making wavedashing/landing a safe option???? Let me know...
No serious Ganondorf player relies on smash attacks for KOs, you mostly get kills from his aerials and tilts. Saying he will suck solely because of his front and up smash is ridiculous. His up smash has faster startup by the way.
I've said it a couple times but I will say it again. Does it not annoy anyone that gannon finally got sword smashes and 2 of them are ripped straight from ike and one from cloud?
My opponent is Kuma | Dusk, a Georgia local Roy/Lucas player, who dabbles quite heavily in Ganondorf as I do. Just a heads up. :)
Can't wait for your Captain Falcon to Knee all your opponents in the future!
This Dusk guy seems pretty swell
Let's goo Dusk
This is like the only video with people labbing I really appreciate this
Do you want subscribers? Because this is how you get subscribers.
I can here alot of spin dashes in the background lol Sonic hasn't changed ahaha
Tactician Magician ik you're joking but Sonic can't cancel his dash with shield, so Sonic's actually changed a lot just from that
Robert Foster his playstyle apparently will now rely more on normals than specials.

I just hope the menus aren't garbage like in Smash 4.
Mewtwo's stock icons look so simple, yet so clean!
Quadraxis I doubt they will be. Looks like the game is clean af.
It's like Smash is finally assimilating some other fighting game standards
@Lucio It's the way that they're making me feel tonight.
0:44 Uncharged Ganon forward smash did 30.2 jesus christ.
PhreezePhoenix 5% more than his old one.
Its because of the increased 1v1 damage
Now that's alot of damage.
Legendary Link DAMN IT you said it before me
Ganon is looking scary for 1v1’s players who can read their opponents very well will definitely be rewarded in this smash.
It was really cool to see them practise parrying at the start of game 2. People are starting to think about its uses.
Ganon looks SOOO CLEAN
KrownGaming XL yeah he used to look really dirty guess he finally took a shower
He looks the same honestly. Just a rebalancing of power. Faster aerials but slower and worse smash attacks. His old smash attacks were far better, especially his old up smash which is basically the best smash in the game. His new one is like smash 4 ikes up smash which is not good.

Mewtwo's Dash Dance looks ridiculous!
Gabriel Rivero, it's lookin smooth as silk.
We’re already having Ganon dittos?
This is how you know the Smash community is constantly in sync together.
I wish they kept his AAAAAAAHHHHHH warloc punch
HeroShade _09 AAAAAAAASRRTHHGGGAAA*
Robert Foster ye that one
HeroShade _09 They don't have the voice clips in yet so don't worry.
Utuh _ what do you mean. Cant you hear him in the game

I can't wait to play Link and Ganondorf as much in this as I have since Melee.
1:56 *DESTRUCTION!*
Ganondorf is beautiful . I can't wait to main him. Well him, Marth, falco, ness & Pokemon trainer
Ganon looks crisp so far. Marth, it seems like they got him some good buffs and some of the best attributes of the previous smash games. I mained him in three smash games, gonna be dope to see how he does in Ultimate. PkmTrainer looks hella improved compaired to Brawl. I hear Johns at the end.
Is it me or white haired ganon pretty much have enrico pucchi's hair ?
Madian heaven
"How many bairs can you hit in Witch Time?"
Is that a motherfucking JoJo reference?!
RadioWw WHAT A WONDERFUL WORLD
1:58 Where's D1? We need the "DESTRUC-!!" sound from Nairo's Modpack.
Mystery guy was pretty damn good!
It was Kuma | Dusk, a Georgia player, according to Fatality in the comments (at a later time than your comment)
It's really confusing since there's a high level Mewtwo from Michigan, Zinoto's brother, who goes by ??? (read aloud as Unknown, IIRC)
Jake Schaafsma It is actually ????
I love how quick matches in the game can be even with 3 stock! :)
6:16
did he just airdodge diagonally into the ground into a tech roll?
Lmao the Johns at the end
Joshua Robinson It ain't johns if you blame yourself
0:42 that whiffed forward air is unreal
Finally people playing Ganondorf!! I’ve been looking for this
4:51 1st perfect shield true combo?
4:49 mewtwo's side b has much less mobility in the air
d00d whyyyyyy
5:48 Mewtwo shadow ball does 31.4% AND he can combo off it. Bruh.
The game counted player one as going down first on the Chokeslam.
good
You mean the one who initiated the attack or the one who was attacked?
P2 did the chokeslam, the game showed P1 lost a stock first.
Oh, okay. That is good indeed. They already nerfed it by making it escapable if used high enough, so making Ganondorf lose would be a bit too much.
wait you can escape it??
Christian Caisley Yes, you can mash out of it apparently.
Side-B Ganon slid off the the edge @4:30 wasn’t this non-existent in the demo during E3? Or am I confusing that with the whole Fox phantom not going through characters?
His wizards foot always goes off edge at a certain distant. It's been like that
When you see Evil King of Disrespect but hear so much spindashing in the background, someones already rocking Sonic hard.
What happened in 1:22 !?
How high do you guys think ganon will be for the new game?
5:18 Ledge Cancel is back boyz!!!
Jhordy Ayala if you mean ledge cancel as in melee and not like in smash 4, I have to tell you to not have a lot of hopes on it, since the down b of Ganondorf is one of the few attacks that can ledge cancel in smash 4.
So does Frigate Orpheon not flip anymore?
Dorf dittos are gonna be so fun
Maybe Ganon will rise from bottom tier and take mid tier. I wouldn't be surprised if he isn't high tier. That speed and startup in some moves hinder him. I would be fine for him to be High-Mid Tier to Low-Mid Tier
S133py L337Marth-King watch the gameplay of zero vs mew2king, it really shows how ganon could struggle in neutral game
Feli Yeah I saw that. His neutral game is eh, but that was one matchup against a character who's is mainly disjointed and has strong and consistent projectiles. His lack of any projectiles hurt him, but I stand by the notion that he might be mid tier in the game

Just like Ike, most likely high-low tier, or low-mid tier. People are gassing Ike and Ganon too much.
I totally hear you - why on earth did they switch grab to L? They should keep it on the right side like Melee and N64.
As a Ganon main, it riddles me to see alot of F-Air and D-Airs.
Usually B-Air and Neutral A are the best options for stage control.
What I'm seeing here is people playing is if this was Melee Ganon.
I mean it only has two more frames of landing lag compared to Melee (14 vs 12) so it makes sense.
Hakan Cakir I heard it was 10 frames of lag compared to 12
Most aerials are safe due to the cut across the board of their end lah
The reduced landing lag on all his aerials means that he does play a lot like MeleeDorf, though it also looks like a lot of Smash 4 stuff carries over. Ganondorf right now looks like he actually has a few viable options in neutral, as opposed to 4 where he had fairly limited options. Fair/Dair are still riskier than Nair/Bair, but Fair now has a good hitbox and is a lot safer. I can here zero laughing in the background, lol
ReflectedBoy7 ZeRo's laugh is amazing dude
Damn, Ganon with no landing lag, disjointed sword hitboxes, AND a faster divekick...
Daddy Sakurai, what have you done?!
Can you pause the game when it zooms in during the spike? Need to know this for a friend who always pauses game when he gets killed.
Wow ??? Is really popular can't wait to see who they pick up.
Is it an unwritten rule to taunt at the start of a ganon mirror match?
道連れってこのシリーズでも掴んだ側が後から撃墜って扱いになるんですか?
Why does it seem like Ganondorf is faster in the air than when on the ground?
미셜비 probably because his aerials are generally faster
미셜비
Some characters are like that.
His air speed is probably greater than his ground run speed. Puff in Sm4sh is a great example of that.
미셜비 That's probably because they got a universal aerial mobility buff. Feels more like Melee when they go airborne, though the ground momentum (seemingly) doesn't get transferred into the air
You should've used shadow ball or wizard's foot to test parrying.
Now I wish falcon was in the demo
Ironically he looks even more like a cf clone now since he's so much faster
Hot damn, that's a beefy first match man fight.
How'd you get it on stock?
This game looks so good DOOOOOOOOOOOOD!!!
30 damage on an f smash jesus
Ganon in this game moves like falcon in smash4 lmao
love it
Please bring back ganons old u-smash
That's why grabing by pressing shield+attack is sometimes better =P
Anyone notice that mewtwo's new stance kinda looks like it's gen 3 art? Stands more upright.
It looks like there's some problems with gannon hit boxes, bair looks like it hits but doesn't. It's weird
I think that's more to do with landing too quick, before the attack's hitbox begins.
Ganon's got the same down smash as Cloud?
Hey Ganondorf is actually useable now!
That first round was pretty much Sixty-two-Slaughtered xD
なんだこの大味な試合ェ…
Up A might’ve saved that Gannon from being spiked against the other Gannon using Down A. I don’t know. Worth a shot. Timing it is tricky though
Ganon is going to give casuals so much trouble online.
That read was nasty! 4:52
There was no read there lol
that's a reaction not a read
お兄さんミラーどうなるかな
Warlock punch should be replaced with floating or a projectile.
They added shiny mewtwo skin
1:15 Ganons Back Air does 21.4% unstaled in One on One.
5:17
He just edge canceled that.
As a ganondorf main... I think I have to say that we need more "technical ganon players" in Smash 5 rather than those who still believe landing a d-air w/ ganon is hype which isnt.

Dair autocancels super early (1:46)
Shorthop Uair still autocancels
Shorthop fastfall Nair is REALLY fast
Down B has much less cooldown and is lower to the ground
SWORD SMASH ATTACKS
Higher run speed with better animation
God I actually can't wait to play Ganon
spin dash in the background omfl
I want fatality to push Ganon’s meta, he would be a monster
Kuma vs Fatality’s beard
I hear way too many spin dashes ughhhh
下B スキ少なくなってる?
This dude ??? Is everywhere
なんか横からソニックのおとが
This reminds me of melee...
なんでフェイタリティ兄貴ガノンお兄さん使ってんだよ(困惑)
Not gonna lie guys...
Daddy Ganondorf looks sexier in this game than in previous Smash iterations.
??? Has got an unfair amount of playing on this new game. Where is his opinion on the game?
ジャスガの練習してて草
Starts vid hears sonic spindash noise *Triggerd*
Oh god. He's a monster with Falcon. Fatality with Ganondorf I don't wanna see lol.
Rosa Nintendo h
Mewtwo's side B seems to halt all horizontal momentum. Sad mewtwo main hours :^(
GANON'S UNCHARGED FSMASH DID 30%
Ganondorfs spike is absurb
rip johns
*Easy moneyyyyy*
anybody else think Ganons moves come out a bit slower?
Only his up air.
I don't like how this Ryu looks. He looks so off.
Deity Zeash I completely agree. I think they’re going for the SFV aesthetic but I preferred the SFIV one in Smash4. He looks really old.
They should've use his street fighter 5 model
Daaaaaaamn!,!!!
What do you think its more important, fixing the histun/knockback in order to get more combos or making wavedashing/landing a safe option???? Let me know...
Make the knockback less faster
Kinda bummed they didn't change some of Mewtwos lame skins. Maybe by the time the full game comes out?
Ben West Some of the skins I see in mods are very cool too. A red Mewtwo and armored Mewtwo would be my top picks.
Yes, that Armoured Mewtwo skin is a beauty!
EAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASY MONAAAAAAAAAY
3:08 Wave dash dancing confirmed!
CRISP
I know you all like Ganon's sword but I still prefer his previous smashes
Understandable.
Especially his up smash.
Only his upsmash
Zanex its had to tell at this point. He definitely looks more competent than in smash 4
No serious Ganondorf player relies on smash attacks for KOs, you mostly get kills from his aerials and tilts. Saying he will suck solely because of his front and up smash is ridiculous. His up smash has faster startup by the way.
DISRESPECT
I've said it a couple times but I will say it again. Does it not annoy anyone that gannon finally got sword smashes and 2 of them are ripped straight from ike and one from cloud?
jack goldberg Sakurai got lazy.
It doesn't bother me at all, no.
jack goldberg I think it makes way more sense. Especially if you've played TLOZTP.
미셜비 stfu this game is already big enough as it is,
미셜비 I could care less, he put so many other cool things in
