360 Overdrive I think what makes bat within so strong isnt in Smash Ultimate. You see, the reason why bat within is such an effective tool in smash 4 was because smash 4, at its core, isnt really a combo-heavy game. Regardless of what you see during top level play, a lot of those set ups or "combos" arent really true or guaranteed. This is because the lack of hit stun and the the ability to mash air dodge out of hitstun. Therefore, a lot of the "combos" characters have are really just strings. Despite being able to airdodge out of hitstun after a certain amount of time, there are actually instances where characters can airdodge but they are still vulnerable for it. Since bat within is frame 1 however, it can get out of these situations. Ultimate is a different case, since there is added hitstun and it doesnt look like mashing airdodge is a good idea due to the increased lag, bat within's utility definitely took a huge dive. We cant have bat within being completely useless now. Bayo is already lightwieght and can get juggled herself. Bat within also isnt a completely safe move. Bayo players have done bat within into hard punishes countless times since the move has a lot of end lag. Bat within really isnt that big of a deal. You should watch Leo vs any bayo player. He does this consistently.

I even think Smash 4's competitive scene will be flushed out in favor of Ultimate, which many even feel it's an enhanced Smash 4, including all characters in the series, a new year of patches and balancing, short hop aerials, stage hazards that can be toggled off and Battlefield forms, the Switch being easier to obtain and transport, etc.

It always felt like the training wheels were on for everybody with the Insta ledge grabbing to the 2 people on one ledge mechanic. I think people were over-reacting a little at E3 when Plup's Ridley got destroyed by Bayo on Green Greens. Bayo is looking like she got enough nerfs to stop her from being silly but still keep her as a very viable character.
Being able to jump 4 times (double up b, burner mix-ups) was a small part of what made her strong in Smash 4. She got nerfs to witch twist, witch time, bullet climax and several of her normals. This means more characters willl be able to contest her in the neutral.
It's hard to hear over the muffled audio, but does Snek still grunt out "NOW!" when he detonates a C4 charge for the KO? That was my favorite part about snake in brawl

Why do so many Snake players use Down Throw so much? It doesn't seem useful unless you're on a platform where the edges limit their roll range setting up an easy tech chase. I don't quite get qhy they use it on the base of the stage or near ledges. I've never seen a Snake do or get anything out of it most of the time
Kurayamiblack using snake's down throw near the ledge makes for predictable reads, cause rolling towards the ledge is pretty much useless after his throw, and rolling away is the preferred get-up option, which is what the snake player predicts and punishes therefor.
This MU is even but i think that Bayonetta can handle this (She can edgeguard him and snake has a very exploitable recovery too,in Snake's favor at least he can camp and try to keep away Bayonetta)

She isn't that good. She isn't that good in SSBU and she wasn't that good after 1.1.6. People get offended because you guys need to get over the past, this is the present. She's balanced now and can be handled by a lot of characters now (Aside from the jump glitch which will probably be patched)

Ridley has too big of a hit box. He's basically a walking target for Bayo's combos.
Snake is such a calculated character compared to Bayonetta. You really have to play smart to take on a faster character as a Snake.

So is this better than smash 4? It looks better already but not sure how people feel. Is smash 4 even good? I didn’t play it too much. I like it for the most part and of course over Brawl but that’s just because it’s newer. Unless it’s Melee probably only gonna play newer version of games.

Yeah, cool cartoony graphics and physics, more balance changes, new mechanics, more speed yet not as fast as melee, but still keeping the mindset you need for smash 4. This game is a masterpiece.
