I get great battery life on mine, almost as good as my s23U

@@rbstudio3696for me the main issues were Spotify and Instagram. They have a lot of battery drain in the background. Other than those apps, if I don't have them open (force stop and just not opening them at all) I get 8 hrs screen on time.
I'm getting 8-9 hours sot after 2 months, love this phone.
Using wifi or cellular?
@@karimkitty1 WiFi is the only way to get 8-10Hrs SOT on a Pixel 8 Pro cause the Tensor G3 chip is horrible.

@@jevonsims900 6 can't record long video it over heats and the pictures don't always look the best plus it's a small 128 g . On my 8 pro no problems like that I love it lol .

Ive had the pixel 8 pro for about 2 months now, ive hit almost 9 hours of screen on time several times mixed between mobile data/ wifi. Anyone saying its trash either has a bad device or is being disingenuous, its no different than my s22 ultra....not taking a stab at the reviewer but all the trolls
Watched on my Pixel 8 Pro. It's a good analysis and this phone is plenty for me. I'm definitely happy with my purchase. I bought a 256gb version and I used to run out of space so that helped a lot. Mine is darker but I wish I had blue or that green came with more space

@@wteamk288at first it was decent, kinda average or ok and the March update really increased it. I messed with the settings once and got 7 hours 45 minutes of screen on time with Wi-Fi, didn't go out shopping or anything because when I do, I plug it into my SUV. But typically I get all day battery and I set it at 120 Hz and dark mode but I'll change it to light mode and I've got auto brightness and a Pixel Watch connected to it. Yeah, that long screen on time was a dream occurrence. I'll typically get through the day unless I'm on it like a whack a mole and then I come close to or need to juice it a bit with my power bank but this March update was a blessing!
Can't you just do a screenshot of the photo and that way you have it in your photo collection You could put it on any other phone down the line

Im looking at P8 pro and S24 ultra too upgrading from Flip 4. Im going to wait another month I believe google is having some kind of event maybe new phone reveals?
The last pixel I used was a pixel 3xl. I am very tempted to get a pixel 8 pro
if you plan on keeping your phone for a long amount of time it’ll be best to wait for the pixel 10 pro because google is gonna drop samsung exynos and switch to a processor made by google from the ground up probably offering extreme amount of optimisation maybe even better than apple
@beserk6285 the last Exynos is very good and almost on par with the Snapdragon. This tells me that Google decided to not have the best Samsung processor on their phones.
@@Drakewyrm it could be, but currently the incentive seems to be google is still last gen when it comes to performance and battery life, if google decides to build a chip from the ground up, even if it’s not as strong the optimisation will allow it to have better battery life and hopefully much better camera processing

Scared to buy one since it over heats and charging problems
I received p8p about a week ago and i’m having lag issue while scrolling in some app like youtube, play store or delivery app which kinda annoys me. I’m not sure is it because it’s the initial period of setting process or there’s real problem? How can i do with it?
Seems weird to me I have had the phone for a couple of weeks and haven't had any issues of lag even after the Feb update
@@adamgandy3308 great to hear that. You're so lucky. I know i'm not facing this issue alone i've read so many complains about lagging but i still don't know why there is no complete fixation from google?

I have a couple of gripes about the 8 pro, in my use I’ve found the fingerprint sensor very hit and miss , i think google should have coughed up the coin for an ultrasonic under screen sensor like the galaxys .
Also, the Face ID i also find to be very hit and miss , and with the combination of lack lustre Face ID and finger print sensor , i find myself annoyingly entering in the PIN code at least 50% of the time .
I live in a house that is fairly on the dims side as far as light goes even in daylight , so that will be a big part of the problem for Face ID which needs good light to operate , and in darkness it is a total fail.
It does get the Flagship tag , and it is a flagship price , i think google could do better in this area.
This last one is probably on me to a point , but i find the body of the phone a little narrow and hence the keyboard also a little narrow with small keys for my large ish hands a bit of a problem , my big iphone is a better tool for me with Face ID that works in 99.9999 percent of times and even in pitch darkness, and with a slightly wider body and easier to use keyboard , but even that i wouldnt mind being a tad wider , of course i know that wont suit everyone , so it is what it is.
As far as hanging onto the phones , i find the curved edges on the pixel extremely slippery , i prefer the chunkier utilitarian design of my 14 pro max.
The flat display on the pixel and iphones are definite win in my book.
Other than the few gripes for me , the pixel seems to run well in general duties , im happy to use it as my second phone.
You can change the size of the keyboard to make it larger.

I want a flat screen. One plus devices never age well and have Bluetooth issues
I have one since launch. Battery life is absolutely trash. And it heats up to often. Pre ordering the OnePlus 12!
Same with the Pixel 8! Very disappointed with my purchase. I will resell it soon and get a new phone.
Purchased one of these. Traded my 7 Pro. Im glad i did. Experienced no overheating whatsoever.
in Indian region pixel phones are highly overpriced.
You can blame your own country for that lol.
