This is my car I got it with the stock 240SX wheels with brand new tires lol. Final cost was $6500 the hood is sun damaged but no rust on the underbody and has a bunch of new parts, installed. It was literally a great deal according to my local nissan dealership
FYI ~ those coilovers aren't necessarily installed incorrectly. some people install them with the sliders front to back because they dont want the camber adjustment but it does give you castor adjustment which can change the behavior of the steering. It's kind of a cheap way to make it more drift friendly without buying adjustable stuff when combined with a couple other small hacks and is commonly seen on very basic Schassis drift cars.
@@the2ndamendmentwasntasugge463 He said he had multiple interested parties. But I messaged him on a Sunday night. He responded monday afternoon. I told him if it didn’t sell by Tuesday night. I’d be out the next day and Wednesday morning I drove 14 hours thru Maryland and W.Virginia to reach Oakhall, Ohio. This guy lived in the boonies, but so worth it. He dropped $500 just on new Falken tires. Plus he had the engine gone over and replaced lot of maintenance parts. Even took the girlfriend to Cedar Point for making the trip with me.

240 videos are the best. We all laugh at the ridiculousness and clapped out ones.... But we all still love 240's. If not then your just mad you don't have one
Born too late to afford a good one cheap, born too soon to have them all out of reach, born just at the right time to see them go up in price. Yeah I am salty...
@@nr1fan4all I just was too lazy in my 20s to get one. I thought I would wait till I 'found the right one'. But now just into my 30s I lucked out and got one just barely. It's far from a 'great buy' but it's something that can be worked on. But yes I have been very salty for years because I couldn't find one 😂.
@@cz-bundy6896 I feel you on the sentiment in the 20s, for me it was the financial, when I was looking for one couple of years ago, just out of college the only way I could have afforded a 10k car was through financing, which I refuse do to, now that I have the money the car is no longer 10k. Taste changed with time but I can still feel the salt, though in retrospect it's good I did not go through with it LOL
There's a red 95 with 102k for sale in Michigan that's only a 2 owner for 9500 thats probably worth checking out. The paint sucks and it's automatic but theres no rust.
When they showed that back rust I was like Woah, that looks an awfully lot like djs I was pretty stoked but yeah homie is still looking for a rear panel
wrapping a car is great if you want to do like a really cool livery, cause that way you can retain your oem paint, but also make your car look like a racecar, that is the only time it really makes sense, cause if you take like a grey car and wrap it blue, then i question what even was the point
It’s cheaper than painting your car plus neutral colors like white grey and black will have a better resale value than a car that’s painted something eye catching and outlandish
Marketplace 240s are the way to go. Now from there it depends on your knowledge, budget and what you're looking for. Still want a 240. I personally wouldn't mind paying some money for a clean decently built one. Then one that clapped that will finesse my check
I am interested in wrapping my car, once it's painted but with a clear wrap just to make the paint last longer. Because it gets dusty here and wind is terrible
Bought mine in 2020 its a 95 slicktop KA, 5 speed, BC coilovers, straight piped did have a welded diff, wasn't about that so I swapped it out for a J30 biggest issue that I can fix and have many friends that can fix it too is it has overfenders and the previous owner just cut the living f*ck out of the quarter panels, so I plan on tubbing it the correct way* but other than that it's a great car, has a 100% crack free dash which I'm super happy about, but buying a 240 on marketplace is totally worth it 👍🏼
I have owned 2 s14 cars and they don't rust as easy as a s13 the metals were better a more solid car but heavier. I like both personally my second s14 is in better shape and I still own it. Paid 12k with a ton of mods.
Considering 240/ 200sx's (s14) are worth 40k in aus. I'd highly suggest buying this before the tax hits like it did with the skylines. Not sure what rims those are but they're definitely not s15 wheels.
It's coming/here, really at this point if you want a *deal* on an S chassis, this is the condition you have to accept. Ultimately this thing has a salvage title, blown airbags, frame repair, and needs a complete respray, and we STILL think it's a buy. That tells you everything you need to know about the US s chassis market
I paid 7k for a 240sx 1997 with a sr20det s14 back in 2012 . I’m just sad that if the car was left alone the production number is 102 from the factory. Threw out the years I picked up bunch spare sr20det parts blocks and heads etc because I already knew what was going to happen . I love my 240sx but my 1998 corvette is better 😂

@@nr1fan4all 98 240. The guy put all the stock suspension and wheels back on it, which I asked him to do. The ad was kinda misleading and I did a carfax on it and there was a mileage issue. Guy was really cool and explain the issue and told me where the original owner lived and the reason behind the salvage title. I checked the car over very well and body work was suspect in some key areas. The frame rails were clean but had damage. Driver side inner fender repair would need redone. Rust under the antenna hole lower rear quarter. The main reason I didn’t buy was because I drove 3hrs there and when you drove it the rearend would skip so something was wrong there. I brought a friend to drive the car home but I didn’t want to put him at harm taking a chance driving over 3hrs back home. I didn’t bring a trailer or I would have still bought it.
@@carfriendsimulator9981 basically someone welded the diff and it would hop and could very easily spin it around and highway speeds not good. The guy said it wasn’t welded but something was going on back there.
