I’m surprised they skipped the Ilum - Starkiller Base Easter Egg If you return back to Ilum after building your lightsaber, look at what the Empire began transforming Ilum into.
As soon as I finished my lightsaber and saw what they were doing to the planet I thought it might be the beginning of starkiller base, glad to see I wasn't the only one!

High fiving that clone before entering the training room then likely watching him get slaughtered after Order 66 is issued was terrifying magic, in the 3 minutes I got to be around the clones i was already getting comfortable, imagine how jarring it mustve been for many of the jedi

I think it had to do with if someone (like an Inquisitor) came to the planet and took him by force and then they would have easily have found the map, the location of each vault, of the Astrium and the Holocron. Sure they pretty much did anyways but not as easily if they had taken BD of he had his memory still. That's just my take on it really.
Actually is because all the information was encrypted and was under "this thing needs to be scan to provide this information" that is why cal had to jump from planet to planet regaining bd1 memory.
from what you've seen, you only see a small part of the planet. How do you know there's no trees? Seems likely that it is the base. It has a similar trench and is a place with a lot of kyber crystals which is what Starkiller base uses
This is absolutely Starkiller base. There are canon sources that match its size and galactic location, and that state that Starkiller was chosen by the FO for its natural Kyber content. The shot of the planet in Jedi Fallen Order showing the equatorial excavations is the final nail.
Louie Green near the temple, sure, but that doesn’t eliminate the possibility of forests elsewhere on the planet. In Fallen Order the view of the planet on approach is nearly identical to the completed Starkiller (minus the weapon’s emitter) and there is a trench on the playable map, just after the kyber cave, that mirrors the trench Poe flys down in Force Awakens. Plus all the coincidences I listed above.
Louie Green there are no citations stating that Ilum was devoid of life, flora or fauna. Also, the existence of the planet was a closely held secret, first of the Jedi Order during the Republic Era, then of the Empire as a part of Project Stardust. The First Order knew of its existence from imperial records, but it took them decades to find it in the Unknown Regions after the fall of the Empire.
On my first playthrough as a Jedi Knight I chose Purple, then on Jedi master I chose Cyan, then on my Jedi Grandmaster playthrough I chose Yellow, a lotta great colors to choose from, and maybe when Respawn releases a New Game+ that fits their games style I’ll go with Magenta.
Topal lifting a clone trooper to the ceiling (during order 66 sequence) is a reference to rogue one when vader did the same thing to a rebel trooper at the end.

Unfortunatly not. The paint job is specifically named Gold Leader to reference Gold Squadron from the Rebellion. If it was referencing Naboo Royal Starfighters, I think it would be called Royal Defender or some such. I wish it was, though. Untill then, we got the Chromium Lightsaber Material.

@@josepheastham9717 You know, after putting up my comment, I went into my game and I took a closer look at the skin to see if I was wrong. I looked at it on Bogano and flying/landing on Zeffo. In motion, the silver bit DOES look like Chromium, but on the ground, it is more brushed than polished than we see in EP. 1-3. You can say that it's because of use, but I think if it was meant to be a reference the brushed durasteel would look far more polished like Chromium is. I'd honestly chock this up to personal opinion. I don't think it is, you do, lets let bygons be bygons.

James Distasio there is a slight reference. Merrin mentions an armoured warrior brandishing a lightsaber (grievous) coming to dathomir and slaughtering the Nightsisters clan. Ventress was in the battle but her name is never explicitly mentioned
All of these reference videos are missing the most obvious call back to Ep III. When Cere gives in to the dark and crushes the machinery in the room shouting no, it felt like an obvious reference of the heavily memed Vader "Nooooo!!" from RotS
Seeing all those ships in that trash yard was hard to see. Those ships fought in so many battles and everything and there they are just basically trash. It just reinforces that at the end of the day, no one won.
It actually hurts seeing all Republic equipment and weapons being trashed and melted JUST to make the ISD's, but wouldnt it just be easier to paint it all grey and black in the traditional Empire way and use it? The only time you see any of it used is on Kashyyk with Saw.

Another Easter egg I thought you would mention was that Ilum is hinted to have later be turned in to Starkiller base. Have a look at at Illum when the Mantis flys to it and you’ll see the distinct trench. It seems as if the first order found the planet with the trench and decided to utilise the work of their predecessors

Also ventress has two separate lightsabers that combine into one, not one lightsaber that splits in two. I know the difference is minimal but they’re used in completely separate ways
Their sabers are called lightsaber pikes ( instead of double-bladed or saberstaffs) so they are unique. Also temple guard sabers are ancient and handed down as Jedi take the role. They aren’t their personal lightsabers.
Croisé I think yellow is really cool, but I like purple more and I’m pretty sure is Cal’s actually canon crystal, mainly because he uses force slow, which is a dark said ability

I believe another easter egg is on ilum where when you climb to the top of the temple entrance you can see dave filoni's iconic cowboy hat perched again a rock.
Couple of fun details that make me giddy as a star wars fan that were not mentioned: some of the lightsaber parts you find in game are the same parts used in Galaxy's Edge lightsabers meaning if you own one in real life, you can potentially recreate your own saber in game and the message from obi-wan can be heard by activating the Jedi Holocron sold at Doc Ondar's Den of Antiquities. It is amazing how even the merchandise for the theme park is given so much attention to detail in canon
Phillip Miller the holocron part makes sense as it was the message obi wan have out during order 66 to not return to the Jedi temple under any circumstances
LATE GAME SPOILER Returning to Ilum after completing the game, you will notice a large trench spanning right around the planet, baring a noticeable resemblance and confirming the origins of Starkiller Base featured in The Force Awakens
The first instance of a in-canon Knighting ceremony was actually in rebels, when at the jedi temple on Lothal, Kanan encountered the Grand Inquisitor in one of the temple’s trials. After learning to let go of his padawan, the Grand Inquistitor Knighted him in the style later seen in fallen order. This version of the inquisitor represented when he was a temple guard, so could still knight.

The games packed full of easter eggs and little nods. Even BD-1 has some skins like Blue Leader for example. Truly is a welcome release in the Star Wars Canon. Disappointing that there isn't more to play after you finish. A NG+ mode would of been fun where more elite enemies spawn or something.

Actually, we saw the Knighting ceremony (still un-official) in Rebels, when Kanan was knighted by the Temple Guard (the same one who became the grand inquisitor) when he and Ezra enter a Jedi temple and experience separate force visions (Kanan sees and duels the Guard, can't remember what Ezra saw), but are then found by Inquisitors.
Notice how both Illum and Starkiller Base are 1. Snow planets 2. Have a trench going through their equator 3. Are known to be rich in kyber crystals. I'm thinking they're one and the same

Jedi fallen order should have an Ashoka Dlc cuz you’re Both basically in the same situation. And Quinlan Voss dlc, he has the same power as Cal ( where you touch objects and you learn their history) and he survives order 66 and a Jedi master. He’s been to Dathomire and was in love with asaj Ventress . Maybe even a Rebels dlc
They could use Quinlan for Fallen Order 2. He would be a great teacher for Cal, being one of the only Jedi sharing the same ability as him AND in the list of the... 33 surviving Jedi.
I'd go with BD-1, got more character development than BB-8. At one point when I visit Ilum, I literally got choked up knowing its origin story with Cordova. And officially become the second cartoon robot that managed to make me sad after Wall-E.
I’m not sure on this one, but hear me out. JJ Abrahams has talked about how he named BB-8 after his shape, so I think the same scheme was used for BD-1. You hear character refer to him as “buddy” pretty often, which sounds a bit like BD-1
love how everyone forgets about Star Wars Jedi Knight when they say the Inquisitors were first introduced back in Rebels. uhh no they weren’t introduced then. the Inquisitors were introduced at least a decade before Disney bought out Lucasfilm.
The nice thing about Saw in this period means that he was very surprised about meeting Ezra and Kanan especially after Cal! No wonder he was surprised to meet one Jedi, let alone 2!
Here is another easter egg in cals visions of the past when he trains the training area with the moving platforms is near identical to the one ezra is in when he poses as a imperial cadet in season 1 of rebels

Another unusual thing that JFO has added to canon/lore/whatever... Cal wins a fight by turning OFF his lightsaber, something that's been a bit of a plot hole in Star Wars why it's not used as a tactic more by Jedi.
They could make an awesome BD-1 Hasbro Figure as a flashlight. Imagine a BD-1 replica that had it's light projection act like a lightsaber. That would be awesome

Unfortunatly not. The paint job is specifically named Gold Leader to reference Gold Squadron from the Rebellion. If it was referencing Naboo Royal Starfighters, I think it would be called Royal Defender or some such. I wish it was, though. Untill then, we got the Chromium Lightsaber Material.

@@josepheastham9717 You know, after putting up my comment, I went into my game and I took a closer look at the skin to see if I was wrong. I looked at it on Bogano and flying/landing on Zeffo. In motion, the silver bit DOES look like Chromium, but on the ground, it is more brushed than polished than we see in EP. 1-3. You can say that it's because of use, but I think if it was meant to be a reference the brushed durasteel would look far more polished like Chromium is. I'd honestly chock this up to personal opinion. I don't think it is, you do, lets let bygons be bygons.

James Distasio there is a slight reference. Merrin mentions an armoured warrior brandishing a lightsaber (grievous) coming to dathomir and slaughtering the Nightsisters clan. Ventress was in the battle but her name is never explicitly mentioned

All of these reference videos are missing the most obvious call back to Ep III. When Cere gives in to the dark and crushes the machinery in the room shouting no, it felt like an obvious reference of the heavily memed Vader "Nooooo!!" from RotS
Seeing all those ships in that trash yard was hard to see. Those ships fought in so many battles and everything and there they are just basically trash. It just reinforces that at the end of the day, no one won.

Have a look at at Illum when the Mantis flys to it and you’ll see the distinct trench. It seems as if the first order found the planet with the trench and decided to utilise the work of their predecessors

Their sabers are called lightsaber pikes ( instead of double-bladed or saberstaffs) so they are unique. Also temple guard sabers are ancient and handed down as Jedi take the role. They aren’t their personal lightsabers.

Couple of fun details that make me giddy as a star wars fan that were not mentioned: some of the lightsaber parts you find in game are the same parts used in Galaxy's Edge lightsabers meaning if you own one in real life, you can potentially recreate your own saber in game and the message from obi-wan can be heard by activating the Jedi Holocron sold at Doc Ondar's Den of Antiquities. It is amazing how even the merchandise for the theme park is given so much attention to detail in canon
Phillip Miller the holocron part makes sense as it was the message obi wan have out during order 66 to not return to the Jedi temple under any circumstances

Returning to Ilum after completing the game, you will notice a large trench spanning right around the planet, baring a noticeable resemblance and confirming the origins of Starkiller Base featured in The Force Awakens

The first instance of a in-canon Knighting ceremony was actually in rebels, when at the jedi temple on Lothal, Kanan encountered the Grand Inquisitor in one of the temple’s trials. After learning to let go of his padawan, the Grand Inquistitor Knighted him in the style later seen in fallen order. This version of the inquisitor represented when he was a temple guard, so could still knight.
8:26 There’s even been speculation that Ilum was also the planet that Starkiller Base from Force Awakens was made into.

The games packed full of easter eggs and little nods. Even BD-1 has some skins like Blue Leader for example. Truly is a welcome release in the Star Wars Canon. Disappointing that there isn't more to play after you finish. A NG+ mode would of been fun where more elite enemies spawn or something.

Actually, we saw the Knighting ceremony (still un-official) in Rebels, when Kanan was knighted by the Temple Guard (the same one who became the grand inquisitor) when he and Ezra enter a Jedi temple and experience separate force visions (Kanan sees and duels the Guard, can't remember what Ezra saw), but are then found by Inquisitors.
Kanan Jarrus was knighted in the jedi temple on Lothal when Ahsoka, Kanan, and Ezra were searching for a way to communicate with Master Yoda.
Its a small thing but i hate its basically the end of the game before you get lightsaber colors

Jedi fallen order should have an Ashoka Dlc cuz you’re Both basically in the same situation.
And Quinlan Voss dlc, he has the same power as Cal ( where you touch objects and you learn their history) and he survives order 66 and a Jedi master. He’s been to Dathomire and was in love with asaj Ventress .
Maybe even a Rebels dlc

I’m not sure on this one, but hear me out. JJ Abrahams has talked about how he named BB-8 after his shape, so I think the same scheme was used for BD-1. You hear character refer to him as “buddy” pretty often, which sounds a bit like BD-1
love how everyone forgets about Star Wars Jedi Knight when they say the Inquisitors were first introduced back in Rebels. uhh no they weren’t introduced then. the Inquisitors were introduced at least a decade before Disney bought out Lucasfilm.
The nice thing about Saw in this period means that he was very surprised about meeting Ezra and Kanan especially after Cal! No wonder he was surprised to meet one Jedi, let alone 2!

You know, when Disney brought Star Wars, I was so afraid that it would go the way of the rest of the EU. When we finally saw Ahsoka in Rebels, I was so happy. And seeing it here being reinforced as canon just made me even more happy.

@@kyran7846 Not exactly. Ahsoka was basically an individual freelancer by the time of Order 66. She was also a far more experienced soldier and she had contacts who helped her and Rex survive. While we know she went through hell, it was a very different hell from what Cal experienced.

Another unusual thing that JFO has added to canon/lore/whatever... Cal wins a fight by turning OFF his lightsaber, something that's been a bit of a plot hole in Star Wars why it's not used as a tactic more by Jedi.

This is a call back to Star Wars the phantom menace, Star Wars attack of the clones, Star Wars revenge of the Sith, Star Wars a new hope, Star Wars empire strikes back, Star Wars Return of the Jedi, Star Wars the Forge Awakens, and Star Ware The Last Jedi.
