Hello everyone, I've accidently burned two resistors where C1 and C2 wires supposed to be soldered. Does anyone have the values of these resistors or can I just jump them with wire?
Hey Aaron, If you had any issues with SMC+ on the V5, could you explain more about what it did? I had someone else test them as I have no V5s, but if it doesn't work I'd like to make sure that's noted. Its designed compatible with the S-RGH firmware. Also glitch2m is not for most people, only for some people in specific cases.
Could I follow this video for my 4GB Corona that doesn't require a postfix adapter (I can see that the traces are present between the heatsink fans) or do you have another video for that?
Thank you for a wonderful tutorial video. Everything explained in detail, i love it! I have ordered all I need, and will do this mod on my Corona v4 in a few weeks or so. :) A question about soldering temperature.. I usually work with around 380 degree celcius (720 fahrenheit). Hi mister. Recently I bought a 360 Corona V4 (that was never opened before) and decided to RGH it. I installed the Ace V5 following your video and it worked perfectly with really impressive boot time. Unfortunately for some reason with 20 days after the procedure the console started to take a really long time to boot (usually 5-10 minutes to boot) and beyond that the console occasionally had problems with freezing and showing some artifacts. Do you have any idea of what's happening and what can I do? I'm afraid maybe this could be a tough problem to solve, but I have no clue. Greetings from Brazil 🇧🇷
hey bro, greetings, it is not usual but I have a situation, with a slim e (v6 toshiba) when it starts there is no problem, but there are times that while trying to start the fan accelerates and turns off, there are those who say than removing the resistor R1R1 or making a bridge between it and gnd. It is said that these plates sometimes have this problem. Has it happened? how did you solve it? You know I ask you since everything I do is thanks to your videos and this time I don't know what to do, thank you very much for your time and prompt response, greetings from Ensenada bc mex.
Interesting that instead of booting xell, it boots to the stock dashboard. for some reason it's writing back nanddump1 back vs ecc. I'm using a muffin cr4 instal with a matrix v3. yes, ecc is verified as the source
So I had an unfortunate accident today while attempting to clean up my soldering on C1 and C2... I unintentionally desoldered one of the resistors at C2, the resistor stuck to my iron and burned before I could grab my tweezers to get it off and so I bricked the board :(. Now I have to hunt down another cheap 360 s.
I have a 4GB Corona with corrupt NAND, unformatable storage. So I understand the only way to fix it is by soldering a replacement 16MB NAND. Right? Because 4GB NANDS are read with SD card tools, has anyone tried to replace the NAND firmware with an actual SD card soldered to the SD points? Again, can I write an ECC glitch file or build file directly to an SD card and wire the SD card in to the Corona motherboard to replace the bad NAND chip. I can't find anything online of anyone trying this.
I've never seen anyone convert a 4gb corona to using an SD card as the nand, seems unlikely to me... But you are correct that there are tutorials out there for converting a 4gb Corona with a bad nand to a 16mb Corona but it's quite an advanced install and based on the cost of a 360 console not really worth the effort to me personally.
Thanks for a great tutorial! In my Jrunner I got something called XDKbuild under the SMC+ option. Should I leave it checked while making the ECC and XeBuild files?
Nevermind, I had the wrong kernel selected. My first console ever, an E-series corona 16mb is soon finished, thanks to TheWeekendModder. Will try for those pesky C1 and C2 within the week but all other soldering points are done. #proudnoob
