I bought one of these a couple of weeks ago, and used it yesterday to do my first ever RGH. The tool was easy to use, and because I followed your RGH tutorial (thanks for it, by the way), the whole process went smoothly. One thing I did notice was that J-Runner needed to be run as administrator, otherwise it didn’t report the size of the NAND.
Perfect timing. I just ordered one of these kits on your site after seeing this vid. I have a 360E with 4gb NAND I just picked up that was modded at some point and it E79s. Gonna try reflashing the NAND with this kit.
I finally got around to getting my kit installed. I can read the NAND but when I compare they are no the same. Any tips as to what the problem could be? Thanks again.

I just purchased this from your site! 👍 I made the mistake of thinking the TX QSB was better. The contact points were extremely cheap and fell off right after applying solder. After seeing this video, I realized that the USB tool is better than soldering on a large QSB with difficult soldering points.
You cant find these items anymore. Reason is because of the xFlasher coming soon that basically does everything when it comes to modding all 360 models (besides winchester atm). So if you couldn't get these items in time, you'll have to resort to buying the SD Tool instead.
What a good video, don't get me wrong but I think it's more complicated. Maybe it's the custom but I still have my sd tool v2.2 and they are great tools, good that you are still posting videos. greetings from ensenada bc mex
Thanks! I kinda agree with you. I'm not in love with the idea of always using the little pin headers. I'm gonna do another video with the next 4gb Corona using this same tool, but doing a direct wire install with it like you would a SD tool. Really this exists because some people have a hard time getting their SD tool to work with certain SD card readers.

@@TheWeekendModder Hello friend, you do not need to use the pin headers every time. Mine I just soldered standard wires to, and the using pins for quick disconnect. Very good for bulk console doing!

Can you point me to where to get more of these headers from? I have been getting a lot of 4GB consoles in and its nice just to have a single use header I can leave in the console and not have to desolder.

@@nomecognome5050 I do Xbox RGH services for people here and there , but haven’t been able to do it on a 4GB console ( I haven’t been able to read a nand on one yet) , I am looking to get few of the 4GB winchester motherboards for cheap to practice and learn reading their nand so I can start RGH’ing 4GB coronas too..
@@sinasinahm If you already know how to solder, there really is not much to practice, it's about making a good connection and pressing a read button. If the problem is you can't solder properly then there is no need to practice on an xbox, you can practice soldering on any old electronic for free and there is no need to practice clicking a button. If instead the soldering is good and you tested multiple sdtools/sd card readers then it's just bad luck, the nand is dying and needs to be replaced.
@@nomecognome5050 No, I have a soldering station and have rgh’ed about 10 xboxes so far ,also I have worked on some other electronics so I think I have the skill for doing this type of works , the problem is more with not having the correct tool or sd reader and even a bad nand as you said since I’ve only tried working on one 4GB console (which is my personal console) , I might even buy the tool shown in this video since it looks much easier to work with than the SD tool cause you don’t have to worry about finding a sd reader that works fine with the xbox since it’s a usb one..
I just got in a bunch of the pin headers, but those cables I only have 1 for 1 with the 4gb USB tool - no extras and I'm not sure I can get any. I'll look into it.
@@TheWeekendModder I actually went ahead and bought this USB thing instead. Should be a lot easier than fumbling with a million wires and having to hold my laptop as close to the thing as possible to get it to work. (my card reader won't work with my extension cable, lol)

USPS is sucking HARRRRRD right now with the whole COVID thing. We used to do USPS First Class to Canada and about 50% of our packages were being "lost" entirely. Now we only do USPS Priority Mail International which actually costs us $29 - we're not making any profit on that shipping.

I'm a little bit behind on Xbox 360 stuff. I have a few consoles to mod and video and some new chips and techniques to cover. When all that is done, I could see myself moving on to cover other consoles. I don't have specific plans though.
Got to use the SD card tool for the first time the other day (after modding dozens using the standard method). So I’m especially interested in the new tool for ease of use. I had to go through several different SD readers to find one that worked with this. The SD tool doesn’t always insert properly either, so gotta watch out for that. Question for you tho. I’ll probably order one from you the next time I order matrix chips. Wondering how much those little pin headers are? (for the board side). If you sold those as well (or an option to add a few or a bunch), I’d consider just leaving them in the clients Xbox so I wouldn’t have to bother removing them afterwards.
I don't have extras yet - but I'll be getting them ASAP. They'll be less than $1 each, so the idea is exactly like you said, just install and leave them. A direct wire install of this tool would be good too.
