What happens when you get covid on a Cruise. This and other questions are answered in this video. Including why I quite making TH-cam videos ( Took and extended break )
The adventure starts when we got to Jamaica. The Plan was we were all going to get into one big van and go on a Tour of Jamaica. What happened is the company sent two vans. This was not expected and we split up the only logical way we could . That was the Trackers including Jackson and his caregiver plus Tims folks all went together in 1 van and Charmaine and I went into the other.
After a solid week of Walt Disney World and a few fun filled days on the Fantasy we were feeling a bit tired. It turned out that Charmaine was more than tried.
After the Jamaican day Char and I went back to the room for a nap. After a longer than expected nap I woke up , but Charmaine kept sleeping. I joined the Trackers for supper but Char did not.
The next day when Charmaine finally woke up she know something was really off.
She took a covid test and so did I. (We brought a lot of them with us) After the rapid test Charmaine had a positive result and I was negative.
This lead to a PCR test in the Medical centre on the ship and it was only Charmaine who was positive.
She had to go into quarantine on the ship and we had to change our flights because at the time the isolation requirements were 5 days after first symptoms and no getting on an airplane until 10 days after the first symptom.

Wow, I’m so sorry. Thank you for your honesty. The Trackers didn’t mention this. I kind of wish they had to show the “real” side of cruising still. I understand them not wanting to share your private information though. Thank you for showing us what happens if you get covid while cruising. I hope everything starts to get much easier for you and your family.
I remember the Trackers mentioning it very briefly at the time, however it wasn’t their story to tell.
I’m so sorry you’ve been going through so much. I don’t really understand people being so quick to judge or the issues people have with Tim and Jenn. I am glad you finished telling the story. I have thought about “how did things end” several times. Glad you are back. Everyone needs a break from certain things now and then. It is a strength knowing when that should be. Prayers for your pup and all of you as you work through her remaining time.
I missed your videos. They were just calming and fun. Real life is more important. You are much better then Tim. He has gone to bougie. You are very down to earth.

Thank you for sharing this. Our first (and only) DCL cruise had a similar story, but it wasn't Covid, our son (7 at the time, Jan. 2020) got a nasty intestinal bug with a high fever and (fearing covid, which nobody knew much about at the time) we all self-quarantined in our room for the last 50% of our 7-day cruise. As you said: "Not. Magical."
Oh no! I hope he got o er it quickly. That the issue with a 7 day cruise. That about how long it takes to get over something like that.

I often wonder what happened to you and your videos after that cruise. Thank you for taking the time to explain what happened--it was interesting and informative. I cannot, for the life of me, understand the crazy reactions some people had to your statements. Please know that the majority of us fans want only the best for you and your family & friends. All I can say from watching your video is I am so glad I have just not traveled since just before the pandemic started. Cuz it sounds like a lot of fun.

You guys did everything right. So silly how people hit you guys with negativity after you showed transparency with the risk of travel. It was awesome to see how Disney handled the situation making things less stressful, and awesome how you two made a non magical experience also super positive. Congrats to Michelle for graduating early, that’s a major accomplishment. Sorry to hear about you Dad, it’s tough when parents age. Thankfully he has all of you to love on him during all this.
We are new-ish here (on TH-cam) and are quickly realizing that no matter how good your intentions are there will be people that just don't want to see the good in anything, sadly. And then there are people that don't even know you that believe in your content more than you do, amazingly! It's such a trip...but something I remind myself with is that the content we make is for the believers. Make videos you love for them. So sorry to hear about your dad's disease. Its a terrible disease. My mom had it and I was her caregiver for about 10 years total. I had to move in with her for 6 years so i was there 24/7. She passed away March 2029. I miss her so much. I hope you are able to visit your dad at times. Sorry about loosing Sassy. She's so cute! Take care and my God bless your family. Sorry to hear all the stuff that happened to you 😢 since the pandemic a lot of use to be fun things seems to be less fun… I went to Disney in May 2022 and with genie plus and all the change it was so stressful, my trip wasn’t the same. I enjoy my time but not as much as before. I started to plan my vacation for May 23 and when I saw the over the top price this year at Disney, I changed my plan and booked a trip to Cancún Mexico.
We had an incredible time in Mexico for a fraction of the cost. Looking forward to sharing our videos from the trip.

I got covid for the second time on a trip to Phoenix. It happens, I can’t believe people still vilify people who get it…it’s not like we set out to get it!! So sorry you guys had to go through this.
It was bonkers , there are some very unwell people who love hate, they literally are happiest when they spew hatred, and anger. I am not sure what causes people to fixate on celebrities even TH-cam celebrities . They are as truly obsessed as the most die hard super fan. They have zero self awareness and would never get that hatred is not the opposite of love. Uncaring is the opposite. If they truly hated they would never watch the videos and spend countless lonely hours in echo chambers of equally unwell people, feeding off each others vitriol and normalizing their feeling.

So many people I know have been vaccinated & gotten covid who knows how anyone gets it? We went to Puerta Vallarta 2 Mar our first trip since 2020 we had been there like 30 years ago lol Have been to Cancun many times but was nice to get back to PV. We were so excited to see our first whale in the bay!! The sunsets were amazing. So sorry about your dad & Sassy.. Hard to believe Michelle has graduated well good for her for exploring a new chapter although am sure you both miss her so much. Will be looking forward to your Mexico vlogs when you have the time.
TBH I've never seen your videos, but you popped up on my feed. Please stop saying you're dumb. Some people just need to have drama in their lives or talk about others to make themselves seem like a better person. When drama and judgement of others are not part of your life, you just don't think about it--it doesn't make you dumb or naive, it means you are a good person.

Just curious.. did you have the Disney insurance that you buy with the trip? When you mentioned that they are paying post cruise expenses… I am a TA and that would definitely be a push for the DCL insurance if that’s the case.
We did not. We had discussed this prior to our trip and decided to take on these type of expenses on our own. We did purchase additional health insurance that would cover medical expenses related to this and other things. It was amazing that Disney did this, but they do not advertise it. There is no guarantee they would do it in the future. However one of Disney’s key principles is the health and safety of their guests.

Don't listen to what people are saying, I currently have covid for the 4th or 5th time currently and am triple jabbed. I have been doing what I can to avoid it but sometimes there is nothing you can do. I was in Legoland Windsor on Tuesday and felt fine but woke up Wednesday morning with covid symptoms and tested positive. I hope no one got it from me but I didn't know I had it so there was nothing I could have done differently. I'm glad Charmaine was not very ill with covid.
My fiancé and I got COVID at Disney World at Christmas. We quarantined at our Disney resort as best we could but it was distressing, disappointing, and as you guys said, not magical. We had no help from cast members, other than one housekeeper who really stepped up, realizing how sick we were (it was our first time getting COVID). We’re also from Canada and it was interesting to see how it was handled differently there. I can just imagine how difficult all of this was for you folks.

Let me start by saying I'm glad Charmaine didn't get really sick with Covid and that Disney was good to you and you got home safe. Secondly, you were missed!! Try not to focus on the stupid comments, you and your family are loved on here. Congrats to Michele with graduation and moving to Victoria. It's an eye opener when you see your parents in a sick manner, sadly that is a horrible disease. And lastly, I'm also just as sorry to hear about your Sassy. Ignore the negative people, do whatever makes you happy. Nobody gets covid because they want it. We went through the process when my wife got it on day 7 of a 14 day cruise. I didn’t get it. Carnival let us stay in the same room but I had to test daily and because I never tested positive I could continue to do things on the ship. Strange, I know.
We could have stayed in the same room but we chose to split up. I have to date never had covid and I am super ok with never getting it.

Sorry about this. You could have posted it is a lovely day here (Wherever you were ) and you would have what’s the name of the team amount of attacks. Sadly you are not alone there’s are a few you tubers that have stepped away/ quit and have had special vlogs on how people should act. Sadly, part of it is I believe during Covid for 2 to 3 years everybody’s watching everybody on TH-cam. They’re watching more people on TH-cam though the pan base is growing now everybody’s back everybody’s feeling better and some people are feeling brave in a bad way and strike out . I am so sorry

That is what our tour guide told us as we drove up to the homes he pointed out. Not trying to be funny, just describing the tour.
I believe it. I’ve had similar tour guides do that. Even Castaway Cay was described as a former drug island. That’s just the region.
