Have you cruised on Disney Wish yet? What are your thoughts about this new Disney Cruise Line ship?

My family and I went on the Wish on October 2022. As Gold Castaway Members we were so disappointed.
Not sure if it was the ship or the crew we were more disappointed in. I remember the marvel dinner when walking down the hall. The Marvel sign had dust on it. I was shocked. I’m not a super tightly clean person. It just wasn’t the “Disney standard “ my family and I were so accustomed to. We just kept saying this isn’t Disney Cruise we know. If we go back it will be on the Magic or the Wonder. Those ships have character. The wish felt empty and soulless.
I 100 agree with your review on the food. The quick food on the top deck was better than the dinning room. The Hyper Space lounge bar wasn’t good other.
The shows were also not as good as they were on the other ship.
I will give DCL the benefit of the doubt and blame the pandemic on this. We will give DCL another chance to decide if we ever get back on a Disney ship.

Accessibility is *ALWAYS* a valid issue.
Especially on a ship that used & exploited sick & disabled kids for advertising.
    How grotesque.
Choosing to laugh at, minimize, ridicule or erase the SEVERE accessibility issues on this ship is profoundly ableist. And selfish.
    Not objective.
    Not professional.
    It reveals *you*.
You may be privileged to be able-bodied... for now...
    but you won't always be.
The accessibility issues you ignore, ridicule, minimize, laugh at now...
    you get to inherit later.

i just came back from disney wish, its our first disney cruise and our family is truly happy about it, especially my four yo little girl. i was actually surprised learning after the trip that many ppl r not happy abt the wish, and they mentioned lots pitfalls of wish compared to the prior disney ships. maybe they r right, especially if they dont have small kids and also with the much higher price tag considered, but from our perspective, we r highly satisfied with wish. it gives us all we wanted for a family cruise with a little girl. sure i agree about the tiny adult swim pool and lack of wrapped around walking track, but i can tell u that as a parent of young child, i dont hv time for that on the ship anyway, and why would i do them on the disney cruise anyway when i can do them back home? i think from a business angle, families with young kids are truly the core target clients for DCL because we spend the most on the ship, and DCL wish actually serves us well.

Prior to sailing on the Wish we sailed on the Dream (x2), Fantasy and Magic. Our enjoyed the food on the Wish, especially compared to the Fantasy which was my least favorite. I loved the quick service options and the food in both 1923 and Arendales was quite enjoyable as well. I recently cancelled our Fantasy reservation and rebooked b2b on the Wish because we enjoyed the food so much better.

I feel as though many Castaway Club members have tunnel vision when it comes to cruising since they only cruise with DCL. So I take some complaints with a large grain of salt.
I love the larger concierge and spa areas but I know that not everyone has access to those areas.
I’ve not heard many complaints about the quick service options so was surprised by that part - I think most people think it’s an improvement.

Sailing on the 30th and the ship looks gorgeous. I can see some of the complaints. This ship is definitely looks more catered towards families with smaller children. I hope the Disney treasure fixes some of these issues but I’m excited to sail on it soon!

Seems like a very similar layout to NCL Prima. Although it's a beautiful ship, the design is a bit choppy and you have to walk through a lot of places to get to the other side. Pretty sure there's not one full deck that wraps around for a walking path either. They're definitely trying to cram a lot onto these new ships which is great, but I think there could be some improvements with the layout to make it flow a bit better.

We agree that this seems to be the trend on new ships lately.
