I have watched many videos and spent hours on trying to access cameras externally... I gave up for a few months and found this video this morning and I was connected in 2 mins - best video and explanation by far - i was about to pay someone to come out and look at it for me :)

When i try to connect with the WIFI turned off it gives me an error, SERVER UNAVAILABLE. Does anyone know why? i can connect with WIFI without a problem.

Ram, our current app for our Elite products is EVP or Elite Viewer Pro, please refer to the pinned comment at the top for more info about that app. The app shown in this video is our legacy app TechproSS which is no longer available for use. If your recorder was not sold to you by Security Camera King, please refer to your vendor about compatible applications for your recorder as remote viewing apps are not universal.

I have been stuffing about with this dvr on and off for two years now. the cameras are displaying on a monitor, I cant get anything on the DRV Client on my PC. I have Meye Tech app on my iPhone, and it just keeps failing to connect. DVR has http port 80, server port 8670, and mobile port 101. what port is the tcp port

Is there a way to connect dvr to internet wirelessly? My router is on the main floor and the dvr is on second floor. Tried plug in wifi extenders to electrical plug in, but didn't work. Also, tried a wifi extender that connected directly to the dvr, no luck. Is direct wiring the only option? Thanks.
Unfortunately not, you need to have a direct connection with an Ethernet port to have network on your DVR.
I just purchased a 40 wireless extender with ethernet port. Connected no problem and now have net. The only thing I can't do is watch cameras with 4g. Not sure why

As a general rule however, to find the public ip address of your DVR to connect to it when you are away from the local network you need to go a website such as canyouseeme.org from a computer or phone connected to the same internet that your recorder is connected to. This process also requires you to do some port forwarding to prevent your router from blocking traffic to your recorder, please refer to th-cam.com/video/GO69OCLDmEg/w-d-xo.html for instructions on how to accomplish this task.
