Thanks brother! Much appreciated! Yeah the saw played many roles in this production. But I miss those old carpenter "tricks". Thanks again - will check out you incredible looking shop stool in a moment! 😊👍
Thank you very much for that! Comparing to everyonelses entry it looks like that toolbox had a very rough night. Everyone else seems to have so nice scrap wood laying around. 😊 But I like the paint too. Reminds me how the house once were painted. Just subscribed - you have a lot of interesting videos! See you soon again!
Dekeros - Recreational Woodworking thanks a lot man. A toolbox has been on my list for some time, I need one to hold my grandads tools. You have sparked a few ideas. Thanks
Great to show several creative ways to use saws!👍 I really like videos like this were you with simple methods can make useful things from what others consider scrap and a bonus is the built in patina from start!
Thank you my friend! This was a really weird upload. But I have had such a great use for it too. It really can hold a lot of stuff. One other plus side, not making this in beautiful wood is - that I actually use it. I'm not afraid to scratch it! :-) Thanks again - see you! 👍👊
Awesome mate, thanks for jumping on Sumo's Challenge from half way around the world! Loved the circular saw round over technique 😁 Great practical little project and nice edit too.
Talk about scrap wood...I think you win alone with all that paint left on! By the way, those round screws that don’t have grooves on them you were pounding in with a pallet dismantler...what are they for? I mean, everyone knows you have to have grooves on screws to hold boards together....😂
Ahh. Yes, the pallet dismantler is actually a cordless, chuck and bitless screwdriver for threadless flathead screws I use. I don't know if you have them over at your place, but they are getting more common here in europe. Very nifty! Haha! Thanks for that Rob! Made my day! 😂👍
Thank you so much! You know it's appreciated. Yeah, I kinda wanted to share some old school carpentry tricks. Nice to have a reminder sometimes. :-) All the best to you! 😊👍
Yes, this was certainly nothing fancy over it. Quick and dirty. 😊 But that is OK sometimes too. Ouch! Hope everything else made it OK from the accident. Thanks my friend! 👍😊
Thanks my friend! Not as beautiful as your entry. Mine is... kinda "rough around the edges". 😂 Who am I kidding. I'm not going to run around with tools in that toolbox. It's a beer caddy now! 😂👍
Love your toolbox, I really like those aged blue boards. I'm new here from the challenge, nice to meet you. TFS, have a creative, inspired weekend xoxo Sandy 😘
Hello Dan , and an excellent job mate ! 👍 I have never seen a circular saw used like that before....maybe I should get out ,more often lol 😊 Nice one mate and catch you again soon , Cheers and take care mate, Bram
Thank you so much Bram! Yeah, I wanted to show some other techniques with the saw. Don't think you will see this on the streets too often. 😊👍 See you soon again my friend! Cheers!
G’day mate, what you just did in this video is proof that anything can be achieved by any means, earlier this evening I viewed a Japanese woodworker construct a bridge using only a few tools & here you’ve demonstrated exactly the same, thank you mate for this compelling entry into the #spswc2020 & I apologise for my late reply, there’s been so much going on this weekend 🍻🍻🍻👍👍👍👍👍👍
Hey Dirk! You have nothing to apoligise for! You must be overwhelmed with so many entries - you are a great man! 😊👍 Thanks for doing this challange and gather so many great makers! Cheers my friend! 👊
Now that's a way to use a handsaw (I trust my 90 and 45 degree handle of the handsaw more than a lot of cheap square's (*o*) That's some awesome down to earth woodworking!
Big thanks Gerrit! Haha. I think like you. For some reason I always trust the hand saw handle to be in the right angle! I felt so strange posting this rough build. But very liberating too! Looking forward to your project my friend!
I agree with Knackers there, Great to see a project done with just a Circular Saw, hammer and Nails, not only that love the use of the old saw as a straight edge and curve. Check out The Bush Shed
Thank you so much my friend! I see you have made a video too to the scrap wood challange! It's on my watchlist 😊👍

Thank you very much Chris! I must say - it felt soo strange posting this, with just ordinary nail joinery. Haha. All the best to you my friend - have a great day! 👍😊
I love it when I see people using their saw as a square! Such a handy feature that most people don't realize is there. Cool project
Thank you very much! I'm honored. Cheers buddy!! 👍😊
awesome toolbox! love that you didn't remove that beautiful, vintage looking paint on the wood. really beautiful! 😍
Thank you very much! I hoped it woold look alright, but I'm happy with it. Thanks man! Nice channel you have - wish you great success! 👍😊

Wow! Big thanks for that Shane - means a lot coming from you! Cheers mate! 😊👍
A man after my own heart with the trusty tri-saw. Really liked the multiple saw back uses and especially the curve template for the handle.
Thanks brother! Much appreciated! Yeah the saw played many roles in this production. But I miss those old carpenter "tricks". Thanks again - will check out you incredible looking shop stool in a moment! 😊👍
Super cool toolbox and that you didn’t sand the old paint off makes it look even better

Unbelievably cool entry, mate. 👍
I have just seen so many things in this video that I've not seen done before...
Loved every bit of it, well done.
Why thank you very much friend! Very much appreciated! 👍😊
A tool box or a beer caddy. Multi-function ftw 🤣🍻🍺🔨📐
I like the way you think! I can sure fit some cans in there. Haha! 😂👍 Cheers buddy!
I always forget that handsaws come with a build in square! And my, that was certainly scrap wood at the start :)
Thanks a ton! Yeah, the trusty hand saw is often overlooked. 😊 Great channel you have! See you soon again!

You mean the metal dowels used with press fit? Only used in very fine wood working! 😂
@@MadebyMagnus 😂👍😊 so funny!
Very inventive mate, came up a treat, rustic even...😂😂👍👍🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
Thanks man!! haha. Yeah. A bit rustic perhaps. 😂😊👍
You can always use a toolbox ! Great idea! I don't know how I missed your video last weekend! 👍
Hello my friend! Good to see you! No worries :-) You can't follow and see everything haha. Thanks for watching - and all the best to you!!
Glad to see you're back to making videos!
Hey friend! Sorry for absence! Too much.... life :-) Hope all is well. I see I have some videos to catch up on. Cheers! 😊
Very scrap very wood very cool, like how you used your saw as a straight line and to make the curved handle 👍
Thank you so much! You know it's appreciated. Yeah, I kinda wanted to share some old school carpentry tricks. Nice to have a reminder sometimes. :-) All the best to you! 😊👍
@@dekeros-recreationalwoodwo6456 definitely, no school like old school
Sometimes you just need that fast easy tool box. I had one for years before I accidently did a wheel with the quad and landed on it lol.
Yes, this was certainly nothing fancy over it. Quick and dirty. 😊 But that is OK sometimes too. Ouch! Hope everything else made it OK from the accident.
Thanks my friend! 👍😊
Love it, even the nails are reused. Btw, it can be used as a beer caddy as well 😉
Thanks my friend! Not as beautiful as your entry. Mine is... kinda "rough around the edges". 😂 Who am I kidding. I'm not going to run around with tools in that toolbox. It's a beer caddy now! 😂👍

Big thanks my friend! Yeah, I wanted to show some other ways to use the saw. 😊👍
I am pretty sure I have a hand saw somewhere... I think...
Nicely done...
Haha! yea, those are a must! Thanks brother! 😊👍
Great job, you got a lot of miles out of both hacksaw and circular saw. I'm especially impressed with the curved cut on the handle!
Tack! Big thanks! Yeah I happy with it too. I haven't done a box like that in a while, so it was fun. Thanks again!
@@dekeros-recreationalwoodwo6456 The roughness of the board's work really well with that kind of box!
So simple! So nice! Liked and subscribed 👍
I thank you for that!! 😊
Great choice leaving the paint on there.
Thank you kindly brother! Yeah, I think it adds to the value a bit. 😊👍😂
Cool project
Big thanks!! Glad Sumo made this challange, so I got some new cool channels to follow! Cheers mate!
