Dekeros - Recreational Woodworking
Sweden
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 7 พ.ย. 2017
Hello Internet! My mission here is to post videos about stuff I make, mend, fix or create.
Mostly recreational low-key woodworking and DIY. With just a few tools. In a really small workshop. I'm quite sure there will be lots of pallet projects posts. So if you are into that sort of thing, please consider to subscribe - It will help me out a lot.
My videos are for inspiration and entertainment. Woodworking can be dangerous if all safety precautions are not taken so please do so too. Don't try anything I'm doing if you are not sure what you are doing. Stay safe!

Mini Sawhorses - Japanese Inspired
I made these two (cute) mini and low sawhorses. Just from some pieces of 2"x4" (2 by 4). You can see that I glue all joint and screw them togheter. I made some oak plugs to cover the screw holes. These sawhorses are not perfect, but they are handy. And I'm going to use them so they will be pretty beat up over time.
I often find myself looking for scrap pieces to use when cutting bords and lumber on the ground. These look nice, and actually places the workpiece on a good height from the ground. To keep the workpeice in place, I can step (or sit) on it. I'm happy how they came out, but I should have made four. And I should have made them just a tad longer.
Because they are quite small, the can also be used as push up stands. Just as a side note. 😉
This is not the best way to make a mini saw horse, so I will link some other fantastic woodworkers and creators below that make awesome work.

Scrap Wood Round Table (or how to hide a concrete post)...
มุมมอง 5344 ปีที่แล้ว
A simple build from some old decking boards. A round (removable) table top to fit over a concrete post. Actually made mostly because I'm too lazy. I didn't want to digg up the post or go to the dump with all the old decking boards. Also I needed a table to make some projects, and have when BBQ during the summer days. So, just relax, and check out how I built this simple, recycled outdoor table!...
Quick and Easy Speed Square jig for Circular Saw 🛠
มุมมอง 29K4 ปีที่แล้ว
Quick and easy jig/removable addition to your speed square. If you have a lot of cross cuts to make with the circular saw, it's a good thing to use your speed square to make the cut straight. Nothing new so far. But it's a bit of fiddeling before you can aling the cut with the mark on your work piece, because of the width of the circular saw. By adding this (recycled hardwood piece) to the spee...

มุมมอง 6754 ปีที่แล้ว
This is my entry for Sumo's Projects Scrap Wood Challenge 2020 // #SPSWC2020 Not fancy, not beautiful! No fine woodworking. Just a quick-and-dirty tool toot/toolbox made of some old planks hold togheter with some nails. Functional, rough and rigid (just like me!) And here is the instructable for more explanation! www.instructables.com/id/Scrap-Wood-Toolbox The rules of the challange was to use ...
Making a Kiridashi inspired Marking Knife
มุมมอง 1.7K4 ปีที่แล้ว
This is a small and simple project. I found some metal, and made a marking knife for woodworking. It was a long time I posted a video. Like the metal I found, I'm a bit rusty. 😊 If you want more details on this project - there is an Instructable up here : www.instructables.com/id/Kiridashi-Inspired-Marking-Knife/ Backstory: Under our house, in the dirt, I found a bundle of metal plates. Neatly ...
How to remove a stuck car wheel - easy & quick trick
มุมมอง 16K5 ปีที่แล้ว
A very quick and simple trick to have in the back of your head when needed. Sometimes a car wheel gets stuck and it won't come off. I dont always feel comfortable using a torch burner to heat the rim, so using hot/boiling water could be an alternative. Using a torch burner may (depending on the rim) cause damage or burnmarks. This trick doesn't always work ofcourse - it depends on the cause of ...
Improved Jig for punching or stamping letters straight - simple to make easy to use!
มุมมอง 18K5 ปีที่แล้ว
This is an improved version of my old jig for metal punches/stamping. My old video with information is here. th-cam.com/video/6ynFMjd6mfQ/w-d-xo.html I made one side a bit longer so I easier could clamp the jig. The other change was that one side is made of transparent acrylic sheet so I can see the lines and letters easier. This makes it much more precise. I also made a little spaceer/pin out ...
Bulls head Wall Decoration made from Pallet wood with aluminum inlay
มุมมอง 4.8K6 ปีที่แล้ว
A simple pallet wooden bullhead as wall decoration. Perfect beginner woodworking project. I used some scrap aluminium pieces to make a kind of inlay. But that is very optional. I used some pallet wood for parts and downloaded a template. Check out the link below. You can print the template it in any size you like. Also check out BIGBOY'S DIY and his take on the bulls head His build is here : th...
Mora Knife Blade with Oak and Resin Handle
มุมมอง 31K6 ปีที่แล้ว
The handle is made of gnarly and cracked oak, burnt edges and clear resin filling. Blade is a No 2/0 Carbon Mora (Made in Sweden). I had one design when I started making this handle, but the oak wood and cracks led me on another path. I think it turned out pretty nice. I made the handle to fit my hands and grip. The handle is round so it can be used during a longer period of time. This knife is...
Jig for punching or stamping letters straight
มุมมอง 45K6 ปีที่แล้ว
This is just a small jig for stamping or punching letters (or numbers) on metal pieces. Usually this could be done with some tape, or some kind of straight edge. I wanted to get the same spacing between the letters. In this example I used another punch as a spacer, but one could easily make a half sized spacer in for example. I stumbled on this idea from Tom Walter. He had one made in metal : t...
Restoring My Old Rusty Anvil
มุมมอง 9506 ปีที่แล้ว
This is not a woodworking video. Just me restoring (or trying to restore) my old rusty anvil. I have grinded and sanded this for several weeks now to get rid of all the rust, but not the charm and dents from former useage. It still looks well used, but not longer forgotten. The former owner of our house left this. I guess it comes from germany. Over the years it has become very rusty and full o...
Making a Center Finder Jig
มุมมอง 6K6 ปีที่แล้ว
A simple and easy to make line center finder/marking jig. The jig is used to mark the center of a work piece if you want to split or resaw it. I made it from scrap pieces and just took a few minutes to make. The most important part is to make the dowel and center hole in the right place, with the exact same spacing. I made the center hole the size to accept a pencil. You might even know where t...
Metal Rose made of Aluminum and Very Few Tools
มุมมอง 3.4K6 ปีที่แล้ว
I made this aluminum/aluminium rose after seeing some great creators (link below) make them in steel. Aluminum is easy to work with and great for beginners. I used only a few tools, you dont even need an anvil. I couldnt find my flat hammer, so I had to use a screw to make the texture. It worked very well. This was a nice project, not any woodworking but I had to try it out. Get it out of my sy...
Simple Birch Spoon Hand Tools Only
มุมมอง 9416 ปีที่แล้ว
Small spoon, small project! I had my birthday a couple of weeks ago and I got this 3 piece carving set that I wanted to try (thanks for this gift!) This is a small set (usually for linolium or softer wood). I have other chisels from the same brand, and I love them. I used some off cut from birch that I have saved. The only tools used was from the set. Two chisels (one v shaped and one straight ...
Simple Dowel Maker
มุมมอง 29K6 ปีที่แล้ว
I needed some dowels for an upcoming project. So I made this dowel maker/dowel jig. I needed something simple, that I could make quick and dirty. I had some washers (used for framing/construction). This idea was inspired by Gökmen ALTUNTAŞ Multi Size Dowel Maker. Check out his awesome video here : th-cam.com/video/BGVmEOAMiPk/w-d-xo.html If you want to make 10 mm size dowels, you will need a wa...

I was watching this and enjoying it until the end when he put the weight up how can one sheet of plywood weigh 115 kg thats 250 lb for one sheet even if it is 1 inch thick still max 100 lb dont make sense 1/2 inch about 50 lb
Very cool and simple design! I liked seeing your use of hand tools, as well, including the drill with the sanding pad. Thank you for sharing!
The music kinda creeped me out.
Thank you for watching and thank you for sharing your important input! Good to know! 👍😊

Tonosho metal letter stamps alignment tools, very good
Hi ! Can you plece show us how to change the lamp from the ashtray ? On same Kia model. Thanks !
Came out awesome
This is awesome exactly what I was looking for thank you so much have a blessed one
Thanks !
Brilliant!!!
Sorry, awful music.
Great idea and finished off nicely! I always find when using my punches by hand on even thin sheet metal that they don't imprint enough even when using a good amount of force. Why is this?
Great job♥. Can you give me the measurements? Tony
Is that 5/8 plywood?
Good job!
@1:21 what is that material you put on the glue? looks like a sheet of thin plastic?
How hard is the epoxy? Can you baton a little bit with that knife without it braking? Im asking becuse i would like to put a knife blade in a curly birch handle just like you have done.
Wow, headlights used to be not too hard to replace, but KIA has made this very awkward. Shouldn't need to remove water tanks. Crazy.
Thnx for the video. I have had a 2011 SW for a year now. Nice car, but every now and then a lamp breaks. Very annoying! How could that happen? Gr. Sander from the Netherlands
Do you have a drawing?
So cool! Thank you! I will try to make several of these since i have metal letter punches in many different sizes and fonts. Many very old ones with cool fonts! Appreciate your time and energy in sharing. HH
Thank you for sharing ❤️
thanks, following your video it was an easy task - with some help from my 24 year old daughter and her small hands 😅
what the mesurment? really need it!! 😫
Great video! Thank you
What is the background music?
Merci beaucoup, possible une vidéo comment démonter le 3eme feu de stop et les l'anti brouillard arrière ?
You mean the top brake light in the rear window?
That was wonderful❤
Great design Dude!
Made a big speedsquare out of ply with the rail for crosscutting and straight sawguide. 45 crosscutting also made into one big speedsquare special for my circularsaw. Combined a speedsquare, sawguide and 45'jif in one
Very well thought out but simple and effective jig there, thank you for sharing! Keep the fire burning Mr Engineer. My jig of the year for sure! Wish I could like it 1k times
👍👍👍
You’ve done an amazing job! I pretty sure that your wife absolutely loved it.
How had it held up?
I've heard good feedback about the Woodglut plans.
LoL ... flub ...from start zu finish ... just flub .
Thank you so much for sharing, i will be making mine soon
Bravissimo, coltello stupendo . Un saluto dall' Italia.
What plywood do you recommend or would you just go for marine plywood
Traduzione in italiano
Looks a bit stupid the big handle whit the small knive
This is great. One of the most annoying things is that these don’t really just exist. It should come with every punch set. I don’t know if I’m up for the nauseating math and time but I’d like to make one similar but with thin sheet metal separators so i can leave a space and not worry about alignment or spacers or hold angles. Maybe even a u shaped bracket that hugs the punch I’m on.
Hulladék autó. A fél motorháztetőt le kell bontani hogy izzót cserélhessek.
I have a friend who built a bathtub for his cabin the same way.
haha. thats brilliant! works "boat" ways I guess ;-)
I have a 2007 right gearing wheel (UK) not left one and unfortunately, this is not helped me because I do not have the coolant dispenser I have a fuse box there :( This a great video anyway ;)
Thanks! and good info too about the difference. Nothing I had considered before.👍
I FUCKING LOVE TH-cam!!! I need to change my light before vacation my workshop is on vacation and i have no idea. 13 years old car and you can still find a video.
haha! thank you for that! :-) yes Internet is the place to bee
Thank you.
And to you! :-) Cheers!
Me and my dad are wanting to build a simple boat and take it out on a lake just for fun. We don't have any experience, but this definitely helps us with our project, simplicity matters.
This is a great one piece of plywood boat, a great one to start with. But for a super simple boat that is more useful, check out the Puddle Duck Racer. It keeps it simple, cheap, but also uses glue to join the pieces, which I think is better than silicone. More sheets of plywood, but thinner. Don't get scared off by the sail, as you don't have to make a sail, you can row or paddle it. Nice part is, the sail can be added later. Note: I have yet to build a boat myself.
@@bsheldon2000 Thanks I'll definitely look into that. Everything you just said is what we want.
Thanks! Good info! I didn't know about that one! 👍
nice guitar :d
haha! thanks!! :-)
nice guitar :d
