i wasnt sure if i was going to buy google voice cause i didnt know exactly what to expect but this is exactlyyy what i want and really its the only thing i need from this software.
In the Google Voice settings in the Admin panel, I only get the first two options (Assign numbers to users and Port numbers from another carrier). I don't have ring group, automated call answering and desk phones. Any idea why?
If I already have a Google voice number (business) set up, do I need to get another number for every automated attendant that create and implement? Or can I use my business number and reassign it to the auto attendant? thanks!
Hello, you can achieve this by one or two ways: 1. (Easiest, yet not the most efficient and may be fine for the interim, but not a recommended long -term solution as website security policies can change.) You can create a new number for the auto-attendant and set up your current number to automatically forward calls to the number of the auto-attendant. 2. (More complicated, but most secure and long-term.) You can reassign the number from your current Google Voice account to your auto-attendant. When you set-up the number for your auto-attendant, you can choose to reassign a number. Here is an article about it by Google on their support page that explains how to this. support.google.com/a/answer/13043398#reassign
Not that I'm aware of or see being implemented soon. Google Voice and HubSpot do not have any API integrations. I also looked into webhooks for you, from simple tools like "Uncanny Automator" and these tools have HubSpot integrations for other Google products, but unfortunately not Google voice. I'll keep doing some research for you, and should I find anything, I'll let you know! :)
QUESTION! So if I want to forward a caller to a cellphone number if the press for example "9". Would that require another license even though the number is not a google number but someones actual cell phone number?
I have a couple questions: When you do 'transfer the caller' do you have to link the number first or can you transfer to any number? Can you transfer to another google voice number or does it have to be a mobile number? Also,
@@trucmaibui5796 Yes and no, it would allow you to create a new number, but also give you another account for all their other services, such as gmail, drive, etc... So if you were an organization with multiple people, to use Google Admin Console, you have to be a license fee per user. With one user, you should be able to have more than one number.
@@trucmaibui5796 Yes, you can transfer it to another google voice number outside of the account or any number for that matter. It will not display the other number to the caller, but be aware of the voicemail settings on the number being transferred to. It might be programmed to say "You have reached the voicemail box of 815-700-.XXXX", which would be the only way the user could know that number through calling. Hope this helps!
Hello, This tutorial does not utilize API... I'm not sure if Google offers API for their voice service unless they have a premium version that allows their API to be integrated with other apps for things like SMS verification codes/other messages.

No worries and none taken. Thanks for the feedback! I'm always open to it. Yes, I realized that after the fact, but was too tired to make another video. For my future videos, I'm going to try to slow down on my speaking, speak louder/clearer. I used to have more time making these videos back in Junior high and high school in the early 2000s (2006 to 2011), but decided to get back into it as an adult because I enjoyed creating them. Now it's just finding the time as an adult who works full time and goes to school full time, and would like to have a social life also lol. But yes, I plan on making more videos soon and will for sure take in this respectful feedback moving forward! Thanks again! I appreciate it. :)

Very helpful! Exactly what Im looking for, admin configurations. Thank you!
Great video, I was confused by your use of the apostrophe in Electronics though.

Nevermind, I had to upgrade. Done ✅
You can't do this with the Starter $10 version FYI for anyone else like me who is wondering. You need to get the Standard $20 version.
Can you set this up for me?

And would adding another number mean adding another GV user for another 20$ a month?
I mean: can you transfer to another google voice number that is not a user account. like another personal GV number perhaps
If you transfer to another number: will the client be told that they are being transferred to another number and will they see what the number is??

Is there a way to do this for free without Google workspace
Unfortunately, not at the moment. Google requires you to have a separate subscription for it, which is paid for.
