    very informative review, covered all my questions, shelving 7Dii plans and going D750, also 20,28,35,50, & 85/1.8G's are all awesome & affordable, coupled with an 18-35 & 24-85G its looks like the perfect landscape, travel, stock shooters kit.Zooms for on the Fly & primes for when you want that edge.Started with an F in 1976 feels like century's ago compared to tech on offer now.

    Great Nikon review of the Nikon D750. I bought the D750 for exactly the reason mentioned, I didn't need the 36mp of the Nikon D810 so the Nikon D750 was perfect for me and saving the thousand dollars didn't hurt either.

      +Collin2377 It?s possible that the camera is set for red eye reduction. I would suggest resetting the camera to default settings and see if that helps. If that doesn't stop the problem, I would then suggest sending our Photo Department an email, and they could further assist you in trouble shooting what might be going on. *Christina* AskPhoto@bhphoto.com

    Keep in mind when you buy a camera you make an investment. Does it include a respectful and efficient service and customer relationship? With Nikon: It is a question mark !?
    I own a Nikon D4. And, the vertical multi-function button fell off. This is a camera built for using under tough conditions. Photographers who go to the war zone etc. buy this camera. It is the best and the toughest camera Nikon has ever produced (!). I went to Nikon Canada, Missisauga, to get a replacement of this small rubber piece, because there is no other mechanical or electronic problem, just a less than a dollar rubber piece. Unfortunately my warranty was expired only few months. They asked for $283 to fix it (no, there is no typo, this was the amount). First, I could find a chance to talk to Jim Eyre in sales department, who showed his friendly interest and thankfully admitted that this was not something supposed to happen, and guided me to a person in a related department. I made an appointment to talk to a manager level person to discuss.
    I could reach the customer relations supervisor. The bottom line, after a long talk he advised me to buy an extra warranty next time when I buy a camera : )) He gave me the option to buy the entire electronic circuit that costs about $70 for this less than a dollar rubber piece. It was frustrating how a company like Nikon was dealing with an issues in such a stiff and cold mechanical manner deprived of understanding of human relations. All I wanted is to BUY a replacement of this small rubber piece.
    To major remarks:
    1- It is disappointing that Nikon's best camera starts falling apart and Nikon does not take a responsible and sensitive action. If somebody just googles can easily see that this is such a common issue. Maybe this is why they changed this button in D4s.
    2- The company spends millions of dollars for advertising and sponsorships and plays the role of one of the leading brands, but has no clue and understanding of the power of worth of mouth and the social media; no clue of even one happy influential person can drag many others to create a stronger brand equity. Making two hundred dollars from a customer does not make the company rich, but one happy customer can influence and make the best advertising.
    This shouldn't be the attitude of such a company. Must think bigger, smarter, and humane... so frustrating !!!

    i am upgrading from entry level dslr..it is hard to choose between the d750 and d500(same price range),, while i really wish to get FF image quality and better dynamic range at the same time i just loved the hands on feel of d500 and ofcourse its great autofocus system.. i am a nature( both landscape and wildlife) photographer who shoots my own family portraits often.. so it is really hard to choose..someone correctly said..'no camera is perfect'. please help me to choose..

    M in a bit of a dilemma..I currently use the canon eos 600d and I think m ready for a new camera..I mostly shoot wildlife and birds.
    My question is which one do u think will be a better option the canon 7d mark ii or the nikon d750..currently I am getting drawn towards both as both have their positives like the 10fps on the canon and the gr8 image quality that nikon is known for.. btw I haven't used either of them.

    • @BandH
      @BandH  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      ***** If you are comparing the image quality of the Nikon D750 DSLR camera, which is a full-frame camera, to the Canon EOS 7D Mark II DSLR camera, which is a 1.6x APS-C crop-sensor camera, then the Nikon D750 would be the better of the two cameras in regards to color depth, dynamic range, and low-light image quality. The Canon 7D DSLR camera is the faster of the two cameras, shooting 10 fps compared to 6.5 fps by the D750. Both would be great for wildlife needs, but the D750 is the better camera.

    I am very serious about purchasing this camera been interested for a while now. but I do have a few concerns.They say that video mode is not on a default setting that I would have to set each time I want to do a video on live mode. Is it true that theres no auto focus on video at 1080p at 60fps??Also wifi does not control aperture etc. Oh any suggestions for all around lens for low light, sports, ??TY

      @BandH  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      There is a switch on the back of the camera, which allows you to select between taking still images or recording video. Once you set it to video it will always be set and ready to record video. Live Mode option is located within the same button as the Still/Video record option is.
      There is not any autofocus when recording video at any frame rate.
      Wi-fi does allow one to control the camera. As far as if it will control the aperture I am still in the process of confirming. Once I receive that information I will update this reply.

      B and H I am also interested in Lens for canon can this lens EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM produce great images with lower end cameras like 60D or any rebel series like T1i just curious?

    • @BandH
      @BandH  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      thetruth The Canon 70-200mm f/2.8 IS II USM lens is an excellent lens, and is fully compatible with the lower end Canon DSLRs, such as the 60D and Rebel line. This lens is capable of producing great images on any Canon camera. The lens will have just as much to do with image quality, if not more, as the camera: light has to pass through the lens before it hits the sensor. *Christina* askbh@bandh.com

      B and H so before I jump ship and go with Nikon camera d750 should I try it on my 500d? where could I rent one

    • @BandH
      @BandH  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      thetruth It's definitely worth a trial run; you'll get to see how your camera performs with higher end lenses. As far as rental houses go, we do not rent gear ourselves, but if you perform a search on the Internet for Lens rental house. you will see many good/reputable lens rental companies to browse from. - Yossi

    Whats the lens on the d750 and is there a sharper lens than kit one in a different brand?

    • @BandH
      @BandH  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      The lens featured on the camera in this video is Nikon's pro level 24-70mm f2.8 G lens. As far as bundles/kit lenses go, Nikon only offers it bundled with their 24-120mm f4 G lens which is a high quality lens (not like common kit lenses you'd see with entry-level cameras). Otherwise they offer it sold as a body only option and allow one to pair it with whatever lens suits their particular need. As an alternative to their 24-70mm f2.8 and 24-120mm f4 lenses, Tamron offers a wonderful 24-70mm f2.8 lens option to consider. See the link below for details on the lens. - Yossi

    I got a question, is the 1/4000 max shutter speed a problem if I want to shoot at f/1.8 for the bokeh in bright sunlight ? too bright ? sometimes I got a problem with my D7100's 1/8000 so I guess it would be worse, and sure I know D750 is much better in low light than the D7100 but what about sharpness both are 24 mp but the D7100 has no low pass filter , I need your opinion and thanks in advance :)

    • @BandH
      @BandH  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In general, no, there is no issue with shooting at 1/4000 at f1.8? it just depends on the ISO setting and the meter reading. In a situation such as that, I would recommend shooting in Aperture preferred (A) mode and set the camera to F1.8, the camera will then result in the best shutterspeed. If the camera determines that it requires a faster shutterspeed than what the camera has, you would need to decrease the ISO lower if possible, or stop the lens down. As an alternative to stopping the lens down, you could opt for a neutral density filter which would basically serve as a pair of sunglasses for the lens. It will allow you to photograph with a wider aperture or slower shutter speed than normally required. By slowing your exposure time or increasing your aperture, you are able to control depth of field and convey movement more easily. Neutral density filters do not affect the overall coloration of the image. If you can indicate what particular lens you are using, we can recommend an appropriate neutral density filter for it. ? is the nikon d750 worth the price over the nikon d7200

    • @BandH
      @BandH  8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      +janna graham Both the D750 and D7200 are excellent cameras: it would be hard to go wrong with either. That being said, as a full frame camera, the D750 will have better low light capability, greater dynamic range, and more apparent detail in images. Also, with a full frame camera, it’s possible to achieve a shallower depth of field. In regards to the D750 being worth the additional cost, that would really be a personal call. *Christina* askbh@bandh.com

      Yes, I feel it is. The D750 is definitely a great improvement over the D610 camera, and is currently a favorite among wedding and event photographers due to its ideal pixel count and speed and ISO range. It performs very well in low light situations and accounts for shadow and highlight detail very well. Yossi

    • @BandH
      @BandH  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In terms of which is better depends on your budget and which features are most important. The 5D Mark III is the more expensive of the two models, with a higher ISO range and more points of autofocus. On the other hand, the D750 is less expensive, but offer more resolution, a slightly higher continuous shooting rate, a built in time lapse function and an articulating LCD screen.

  • @DirectX3

    Nikon should put 1/8000 on the D750, not the D810. To replace the missing D700 performance. The D600 is a pain in the axx to me. Destroyed my trips in Europe. Hope the new machine fixed and well trained those idiots and disrespectful customer service personnel.

    • @GugaBosa
      @GugaBosa 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      The D750 can't go to 1/8000 as the D700 but has the ISO 100... so you can get the same exposure level(D750 can't go lower than ISO200).
      Now we have an lighter, cheaper and BETTER camera.

      +Raffik Ray - If one is worried that their camera might be affected, they can check the Nikon Support site to check the serial number of their camera (this will let one know if their camera’s serial number falls within those affected). Nikon is inspecting and resolving the issue for free. That being said, while more exaggerated in the D750, the phenomenon can be reproduced with most full frame DSLRs. *Christina* AskPhoto@bhphoto.com

    • @brianminkc
      @brianminkc 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nikon is doing a very good job of pissing off their customer base right now. A purposeful engineering in of defects or problems. You can buy the new D7200 to fix the engineering problems of the D7100 (buffer). The new D610 to fix the shutter problems of the D600. I suppose you can buy the D760 to fix the shutter problems they designed into this camera. If your smart you will not buy any of these camera's designed to "shoot you in the foot". That's not nice to do to someone spending thousands on your equipment.

    • @DriveCancelDC
      @DriveCancelDC 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      K Photog Because the D750 has the best autofocus system of any Nikon camera, including the D4S and D810. If you don't need 36mp then the D750 is just as much of a pro camera as the D810, but it has a better burst, wifi, better AF and tilty screen.
      If you need even better continuous shooting without the megapixel counts of the D750 or D810 you'd buy a D4S.
      Even if Nikon label it as enthusiast themselves they've shot themselves in the foot by making an enthusiast camera better than their 'pro' lines. (depending on your requirements of course)
