It saves a lot more money than buying from DK Oldies, who's inflating the retro gaming market.

The prices being high is also an issue because they can artificially inflate the market by keeping their prices high, so it hurts all of us even if we don't shop there. Also, for 160 bucks or whatever, that PS3 should have been flawless. I wouldn't consider that acceptable, given that I could easily find a cheaper unit for less, either locally or online. I'm still very skeptical of these guys, their prices are still routinely higher than any other retailer, and their whole 'sale price' nonsense, where everything is "20% off" is scummy. Most of that is so horrifically overpriced before their never ending sale prices that they're clearly just manipulating their customers into thinking this stuff is a good deal.
They do that because it makes these TH-cam channels thousand of dollars by making videos about them, if it wasn’t for that, these TH-cam channels wouldn’t buy from them to make hit pieces, it’s actually a very smart strategy, it gives people reason to buy because there going to make thousands and TH-cam videos
Still a scam, if you want to get their real colors hide your TH-cam account and find out because there are far more vids showing that they are truly con artists and scammers
Not gunna lie , when the pressure finally died down of DKOldies about a year ago , I started sending them broken consoles intentionally ; specifically PlayStation 3 slims and the first model Xbox ones . With the shipping that they pay up front ( which is like $18-20 you don’t have to worry about in your behalf ) and then depending on how desperate they are to canibalize a broken console … I was selling broken PS3s that couldn’t power on ( no yellow light at all, just straight up wouldn’t power at all ) $40-60 and that’s outside of DKOldies paying the shipping Xbox Ones anyware from $17-45 So they’ll take a broken console as long as you send them pictures , accept a realistic praisal , and if you can tell them ahead of time what exactly is wrong , they’ll usually commit to the exchange and pay the shipping . Now … if you plan on buying consoles / games from them … that is totally on you …. Which I personally would never do that
Nah Matty, Tools of Destruction and Quest for Booty never got trophy support, A Crack in Time was the first PS3 R&C to get them. Hoping then eventually get PS+ Classic versions with trophy support.

20:22 yes, Star Wars Rogue Squadron III: Rebel Strike is good and bad
7:49 NSpace are the same company that made the DS versions of Toy Story 3 and Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2
W video. W content creator. W channel
Not a scam, but way overpriced.
That's a scam with sprinkles on top
@@SataniaMcDowel selling something over priced is not a scam
They do that because it makes these TH-cam channels thousand of dollars by making videos about them, if it wasn’t for that, these TH-cam channels wouldn’t buy from them to make hit pieces, it’s actually a very smart strategy, it gives people reason to buy because there going to make thousands and TH-cam videos
Still a scam, if you want to get their real colors hide your TH-cam account and find out because there are far more vids showing that they are truly con artists and scammers
@@jsmith3946 But it is a scam to claim doing a service while not doing it which they are doing
Is that The Consouls I hear in the background??? 😮
Not gunna lie , when the pressure finally died down of DKOldies about a year ago , I started sending them broken consoles intentionally ; specifically PlayStation 3 slims and the first model Xbox ones . With the shipping that they pay up front ( which is like $18-20 you don’t have to worry about in your behalf ) and then depending on how desperate they are to canibalize a broken console … I was selling broken PS3s that couldn’t power on ( no yellow light at all, just straight up wouldn’t power at all ) $40-60 and that’s outside of DKOldies paying the shipping
Xbox Ones anyware from $17-45
So they’ll take a broken console as long as you send them pictures , accept a realistic praisal , and if you can tell them ahead of time what exactly is wrong , they’ll usually commit to the exchange and pay the shipping .
Now … if you plan on buying consoles / games from them … that is totally on you …. Which I personally would never do that
Yeah man wow there stuff is really expensive, I just looked for the first time. Jesus that’s absolutely ludicrous prices
1 good order does not mean they have turned things around.
You’re supposed to open the system completely up to see if it was clean or not by the outside
I thought that Ratchet and Clank game looked familiar. I have it .Mine is Greatest Hits in a red case but same excellent game.
10:55 I think dk upped the brightness on the screens
I have a question about the ds covers here in Europe we have them clear plastic covers but by you guys in the USA it is a dark variant so how is that?
The goodwill of gaming.
Where was the DKOldies warranty seal on the PS3??
DKOldies is an extremely luxury online game shop.
Nah Matty, Tools of Destruction and Quest for Booty never got trophy support, A Crack in Time was the first PS3 R&C to get them. Hoping then eventually get PS+ Classic versions with trophy support.
I wonder if the clean inside of the ps3
Bought Gears 2 and 3 and they both came in a weird aftermarket case that doesn’t match any of my other 360 cases 🙃
Did this go private and come back, it cut out for me while I was watching
Even with my switch I turn it off to put in a new cartridge, it's a habit I swear
i do have Star Wars rogue battlefront 2 on psp and i still have it tell this day and rogue squadron 2 on GameCube that i still have !
Hopefully, there is no man juice this time around!
Gotta say man it speaks to your credibility on this platform that you corrected yourself, fixed it and moved on. Great video didn’t realise I wasn’t subbed here (I am in the other channel) so the correction also fixed that haha
wait..the prpoblem with dkoldies was they say they refurbished when they didnt...you didnt even open the system....what was the point of this vid?
No, the issue was the prices for what they said were refurbished. He bought non refurbished systems this time and just the outer look alone proves that they at least for his order gave a little love to them this time around.
@@KRIAJK you dont know what youre talking about...all dkoldies system claim to be refurbished...his order in the vid literally says refurbished. dont comment if you dont know what youre talking about
We love a good comeback story. They still have a lot of trust to earn back, but this is a good start.
Will we maybe be seeing a ratchet and clank retrospective soon 🔜 😊
The og ds looks so much smaller than i remember
DK Oldies isn't as bad as everyone says but they also aren't as good as they think they are. Will I use them? Yes, if sparingly. I probably won't buy a console from them unless it's a bargain and everywhere else has crap deals.
Man nice to know there still a scam years later
I love using dkoldies, the games i buy always come in good codition some even look like new and packaging is as safe as you can get. Havent ordered any consoles from them but ive bought about 20 or 30 games between original xbox and ps2. And about 15 for gba and every single game has worked and came as ordered.
“Let’s mark up a game for 2x its value and then discount it for 1.5 its value”. 😂😂😂
Plus poor or non-existent refurbishing from what I’ve seen.
The only thing I get at dkoldies are the games, and only when they are on sale, the consoles are way too expensive
I loved Naruto path of the ninja when I was younger!
I bought 7 wii games there prices were pretty cheap
My personal experience➡️ I bought a ps2 fat in supposedly great condition. It came with a heavily damaged disc drive, very dirty and heavy cosmetic damage. Then they sent a replacement ps2. Come it great cosmetic condition very impressed. But disc drive issues again and dirty. For the price I expect much better... there games do come in excellent condition 👌 but imo do not buy consoles from them.
17:47 yeah it’s good they all work and that but you are missing the point of the whole ‘DK Oldies Saga’ which is do they actually open up the consoles and refurbish them like they advertise they do?.. You need to open up your DS and see if it’s actually clean inside.
I would rather get games from garage sales than order from DKO Oldies!
