    I just knew you were gonna unhook that "hose" before you worked on it‼️ Sometimes we all try a little too hard to take short cuts and not take off any more parts than we have to😂😂😂‼️

    Nice job brother! Here’s something funny. When we reference SAE bolts we say 3/8”, 1/2” etc and they’re actually that size. When we go metric we say the head size instead of the bolt size. Lol

    Thank you for the video Brandon. Last week I checked to see if there was a Takeuchi dealer in my area and was really surprised to find there was one, after calling them I learned they don't have any Takeuchi machines, or replacement parts or anyone who ever worked on one. They said I could test a Takeuchi, Great! I asked where and when, Reply: Anytime we're open, you'll just need to drive to West Virginia, Terrific, West Virginia is only about 9 or 10 hours away, I'm no where near any Virginia..

      I was looking at the Richie Brothers' Auction results for Takeuchi TL250 and was surprised there was only 20 sold in the last two years. The sold prices were much less than I expected, the last one was a 2008 TAKEUCHI TL250 with 3196 Hours for US$17,000, that's cheaper than Case or Cat sell used. I might be able to afford a used one for fun.
      Here is the Richie listing, you need to register for a free account to see the sold items. It sold today.

    May as well not have a swing-out radiator for as much room as it gives you to work on anything eh? Dunno if anyone else does it, but one job near me had a couple of JCB track loaders on it, and they've actually got their radiators mounted on top of the engine compartment and pulling air down through that way. Which seems like a much better idea, especially if you designed it right and all the usual servicing stuff was right there when you swung the door out.

    • @eliteearthworksllc
      @eliteearthworksllc  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sandy yeah that would be way easier, I believe that’s how most of them are now. I think the new Takeuchis are that way. Makes more sense! Appreciate you watching again

    The p.o. of my machine put a belt on wrong and installed the fan backwards. It was trying to run hot when I got it. Finally figured out it was the fan that was installed improperly.

    • @eliteearthworksllc
      @eliteearthworksllc  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Nice work on the belt change. That was a good idea to trade both machines at the same time. That way you know they will both wear out at the same time. I found my Takeuchi dealer is 200 miles away,but it is the ditch witch dealer. But like I have said before the local Cat dealer is 20 miles away. I guess it depends on where local dealers are to purchase machines.

    • @eliteearthworksllc
      @eliteearthworksllc  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Brian Gardiner thank you! Yes that would definitely be a big deciding factor, I love my Takeuchi but if the dealer was that far away I would have to go with a different brand. Be a pain to order everything you need online all the time. Thanks again for watching

    Nice job Brandon. That actually didn’t look that bad after watching Jason-Works-Too-Muchs last video. It was a little hard to see on the video, but the old belts really didn’t look that bad. Next time you get a squeaky belt, try rubbing a little bar soap on it. It used to work in the old days 🤷‍♂️. WARNING! Only apply the soap, while the engine is OFF! My grandfather lost the tip of a finger doing that once 🤬! 🤜🤛

    • @eliteearthworksllc
      @eliteearthworksllc  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      psidvicious I didn’t think they were to bad either, I tried the belt dressing stuff only worked for a few mins. I have heard of the soap trick but yes only when the engine is off! For future reference belts usually start squealing if they are a little loose. Like if at idle there's no squeal but you turn it up to full throttle and the belt starts squealing it's probably a little loose. That belt looked to be in amazing condition for it's age.

    The cold weather is just so hard on equipment. This time of year just brings every little problem to a rolling boil. What State do you live in? Many people think that small business owners avoid the shop because the shop writes a bill, that is only true to some extent. You have to do whatever gets you back in the dirt faster. You can use a shop bill as a tax write off. You can't get a write off for 3 days of lost work waiting to get your machine back. Many people bring cars to me because they don't trust shops honesty. I work day shift so people like to bring it to me when they get off work and take it back home when I am done. I am also willing to let people watch me work on their stuff. That works out good for everyone, they get their proof it was actually done and might learn a bit. Around here the shops have been telling people they need 2 or 3 services when they need 0 or 1 service. I have my wife take some pictures on jobs where people just want a drop off and pickup. The tires are easy either the new ones are on or not, either the flat is holding air now or it is not. These are some of the reasons I have been thinking about doing videos, the camera don't lie.

    • @eliteearthworksllc
      @eliteearthworksllc  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      tdej80 yes it does. I agree for me anymore it’s s time issue, I use to want to fix all my own stuff but now I’m realizing I can be out in the field with one of the machines while the other is getting fixed and I’ll make more money because I don’t lose a day or two working on one of them. I’ll still do some easier stuff but it always boils down to time. I’m in Joplin Missouri. The camera idea sounds like a great plan if you ask me. I really appreciate you watching

      +Elite Earthworks LLC ya this ones an older 2001 262 model with the Perkins engine. I wished that they would've stayed with the Perkins instead of going with the Kabota engine, that Kabota uses at least twice as much fuel and feels underpowered!

      Clyde Acor Perkins was a good engine. Mine has the big kubota in it. Seems to burn about a gallon an hour which is pretty good compared to the new ones.

    Good morning utube sounds so strange and heartless cold, like your talking to the florescent t.v. tube bulb on the inside of old picture tube tv's. And not talking to a actual living human being. That's the whole thing about this website very very unnerving in all areas.
