Honestly, if you beat the ending normally, Chara does actually show signs that she loves you, like I know some people hold their friends super close to their heart, but she forgave you after you murdered her family and friends, someone just doesn't do that for a friend, unless they love the person, they would atleast like, hold a grudge?
