Chara is honored to meet sans more than paps because sans is the king in chara's world. Nice detail
It's also because Papyrus is the Toriel in Storyshift. So Chara had already seen him die but they didn't live long enough to see what happened to Sans.

Ok, so to sum it up simply:
Chara= Sans
Sans= Asgore
Papyrus= Toriel
In Undertale, Toriel in this case dies first, then Sans and then Asgore. That would mean in Storyshift, Chara would have already known about Papyrus' death. But since they died before Sans did, they never saw what became of him. Which is why they were more surprised to see Papyrus alive than Sans.

For anyone wondering, the reason Shift!Chara sees the human with a chainsaw is because Mettaton takes their place in that respective AU. It's a reference to when he uses a chainsaw on Frisk in the neutral run normally.
Too bad the chainsaw is weak because if you wound Chara, it only leaves a big cut in her/his torso like real knife
Though I feel the chainsaw would probably deal a lot of damage if their LOVE is high.

Nah actually, damage can only truly be dealt if there's intention to harm/kill. Without that, no monster can really die. It's a fact since Underfell always has characters fighting but not always dying.

My headcanon for SS!chara is that like the other chara in the original undertale, they hate humanity. But SS!chara takes the role of sans in storyshift, so that hate towards the human might come from actual Undertale chara if they were in sans's position.
After al in storishift everyone is a monster except chara, having lived there, i assume its like when chara fell like in undertale and lived with the monsters, preffering them instead of humans.
