  • I needed something fun and easy going... so we're coloring fruit! After my last video, I started practicing in my smaller sketchbook on some value studies (very detailed, time consuming studies) and it was a lot. I also just missed my markers!
Aside from being burnt out by studying art, I'm preparing for an interview at my corporate job. This naturally brought up some thoughts of being a fulltime artist instead. It's of course the dream... but is it? Art is very important and healing for me. I've always wanted to do my art full time but what will it cost? We're just going to take it one day at a time and draw about it along the way I guess lol

Happy to hear you had a great interview! Fingers crossed you hear good news back from them. Loving the piece as well, I have a love of drawing fruit, it's always so much fun! I love the fact you are doing these videos to keep a record for you, makes everything much more organic and genuine.

I'm trying not to get my hopes up but I guess I'll get it if it's meant to be. I really want everything to be organic, thanks for saying that. I feel like I'll loose interest if I'm not having fun.

I think you explained it very well! I relate to a lot of the points you made. Glad the interview went well, even if it was a bit rushed. Hope you hear back from them soon and you can decide from there if it's the right kinda step for you to take :) Also your portrait value studies at the start look amazing!

Nice, it's always refreshing to find people that understand ❤ it went well but I don't think I'll get it unfortunately. She made it seem like she already knew who was going to be hired before my interview. Oh well... More time for art 🎨

Maaaaan, I hate it when it's like that. Job-hunting is a process with way too much favoritism and generalized neurotypical BS involved.

@@lesleyegbert4807 Right! I wish I could just be like "look.. leave me alone and Let me hyper focus for an hour or two and I'll have everything done"
