Emily, watch out for yourself - you are not obligated to pay for a child's education. Children going to college can work, they can take classes in high school for which they can get college credit (AP exams and CLEP tests), they can take dual credit classes in high school, and they can start at a community college. They can then choose an in-state college with programs like the cooperative programs (one semester classes, one semester work for a company that pays the tuition for the school semester). They can apply for grants and scholarships. Acclimate your child NOW that he or she will be responsible for paying for their college costs, so start thinking about what you can do in high school to make college affordable. You also need to research which assets are counted for financial aid, and which are not and make sure you take those into consideration by the end of the SOPHOMORE year of high school. For example, bank accounts are considered; homes and retirement accounts are not.

There is no way on Gods green Earth that two divas like Ken and Jade would wait months or even a year to renovate that kitchen. Come on guys, just pull some from the emergency fund and replenish as you go.

50:54 I have never heard of a bill, credit card or otherwise, being on auto pay that "doesn't go through." That sounds fishy to me, bur I could very well be wrong.
Two things to realize about tariffs: 1. Yes, they will likely result in increases costs in the short term, but the long term goal is to make American manufacturing competitive and cheaper in the long run 2. Those "widgets" from China are likely made by underpaid workers, children, and slaves. Which is like saying "I'm okay with exploitation as long as I benefit from it."
And Trump has been talking about tariffs since 1985. He is one of the world's experts in tariffs and trade. Before the passage of the 16th Amendment under President Wilson's term, the US government was funded almost entirely by tariffs. The reason people are skittish about them now is the disastrous Hawley-Smoot Tariff of 1930 which shut down worldwide trade and is perceived as having contributed to the Depression. But in 1930 they did not have many of the financial tools and safeguards we have today. Trump is absolutely correct when he says the entire rest of the world benefits from the US and counts on us to partially fund their economies. No more. It's time for the Americans to benefit from their hard-earned tax dollars.
Why didn’t the parents keep him in their plan???? Also, the bill is inflated. Uninsured people are billed way more than the insurance pays for insured people. Call the hospital.
Love all the free content. Everyone I’ve ever talked to about Dave says they know him from the radio. Is his radio show different from the TH-cam? What channel is it on?
They're the exact same thing. Check your local radio stations, as it's a syndicated show. It's also on Sirius (again, a quick Google search will tell you which channel).
@amireallythatgrumpy6508 you are correct. I guess I wasn't thinking in today's terms, but years ago when I first started listening. Thank you for your correction.
Reminder that the primary show is a RADIO show - they just put it on TH-cam for those of us who don't have three hours to listen to the radio in the middle of the day.
On the call about medical debt and being uninsured - Why did Jade care about protecting the kids credit score? I thought that one of the Ramsey lessons was not to care about the credit score as it’s just there to borrow more money. Makes it look like the medical industry is making donations to the show to advise ppl to pay off their medical bills no matter what.
That would be funny. Yeah I have medical debt and I haven’t paid a cent but now that I own a truck Im worried they might take it. Never heard of that until today.
@@deannahardemion2268 And good luck with that. They make it seem like it is not an issue. Trust me, for MANY companies and employers today it IS an issue. When I went to work P/T for a firm after being retired, the first thing they wanted was not only my credit score but permission to see my entire credit report. You handle money - you will need a credit score. And excellent credit score also pays off in deductions such as on car insurance.
Ken is right about tariffs but what he said about reducing taxes and regulations on businesses resulting in reduced costs to consumers is BS. Businesses will pad their bottom line in every way possible. And if businesses, which often pay next to nothing in taxes, pay even less it’s the American people who will make up the difference in higher taxes or reduced services (roads, healthcare, FEMA help, subsidies to farmers, etc.). But the rich Kens of the world don’t have to worry when The White House and all of Congress have their back.
Really? Are you presenting the whole story or just repeating what you've heard? WHY do you think that is about some American businesses? If you have complaints, talk to your Congressman - see business taxes go up and see how you like the prices on your consumer goods.
All depends on demand in the end. People are too needy in this country. We don't vote with our pockets enough. We just buy the same crap, no matter the price
Dave isn’t doing nearly as many shows these days because he’s planning for retirement and they’re preparing the other “Ramsey Personalities” for more prominent roles. That said, each personality should stick to their strengths and Jade is the weakest of the bunch. Dr. John & Rachel are their all-stars. George & Ken are solid.
John is an obnoxious narcissist who is insufferable to listen to. I avoid all shows that feature him because I can't stand his fake "I get you" attitude and his constant back handed insults to his cohosts

Kyle's call - what is SHE doing to pay down HER student loans before the October wedding? Why is HE making the call instead of her? What is HER job? Can SHE work more hours to pay it off? It's not a good sign that he is the one worrying about this - either she should have called in or they both should have called in. Oil going up? He (Trump) says drill baby drill. Oil/ gas is going down. Not sure what you’re talking about. Lower gas prices drive everything down. Less government, Ken. Preach it!
I'm from Canada, and the free trade agreement that the government's put into place isn't free! It was to make money for the country that put tariffs on Canadian exports! I might be wrong on this though
This is the wrong place to complain about that unless you’re on the Ramsey hypocrisy train. Bankruptcy was ok for Dave & Trump but Lord forbid we forgive student loan debt.
@@PrincessLolly1 Student loan debt is a CHOICE. There are ALWAYS much less expensive options for getting a college education - but students want what they want in their "college experience," which often results in a pretty worthless degree in terms of associated future earnings. I hope they enjoy the dorms, sports teams, food court, and all the other perks they look at instead of just focusing on an education for a good-paying job because they're going to be paying for all that extra fun for the next twenty years. You also apparently don't realize that there are different kinds of bankruptcy , especially for those in business, and most of them involved restructuring loans, not forgiving them.

@amireallythatgrumpy6508 you are correct. I guess I wasn't thinking in today's terms, but years ago when I first started listening. Thank you for your correction.
Geese just hire an accountant
Interesting show but please Jade don’t fidget so much at the start
Hope she reads your comment..too much energy 😂
Reminder that the primary show is a RADIO show - they just put it on TH-cam for those of us who don't have three hours to listen to the radio in the middle of the day.
You're weird. Staring at hosts
They DO care about the credit score - they believe it matters because having a credit score is a problem you must avoid
They want you to have a zero credit score not a bad credit score. Two different things.
Lower business taxes means more business in America vs. sending our jobs to 3rd world countries.
Very true.
BS to the Denver lady needing a 1 Million dollar new home.
Agreed, she just WANTS that, doesn't need it
Stay in your lane Ken.
lol what
If he's one of the hosts, the entire show is his "lane." What are you talking about?
Dave isn’t doing nearly as many shows these days because he’s planning for retirement and they’re preparing the other “Ramsey Personalities” for more prominent roles.
That said, each personality should stick to their strengths and Jade is the weakest of the bunch.
Dr. John & Rachel are their all-stars. George & Ken are solid.
John is an obnoxious narcissist who is insufferable to listen to. I avoid all shows that feature him because I can't stand his fake "I get you" attitude and his constant back handed insults to his cohosts
@@noname-eaI disagree. They’ve been through several hosts and the line up they have now is great. They’ve gotten this lineup through years of vetting these individuals. They’re great. Im a liberal who supports trans people and abortions. If I can watch this show, you can too. Unless you wanna be broke.
@@StephenRain-v1u I don't see how anything you wrote relates to what I said. Good day to you sir.

I don’t think I’ve skipped so much of a show before…… this one was bad
America is so far from the youngest country out there .... come on man. Lol. Just look north, Canada is nearly 100 years younger!

Kyle's call - what is SHE doing to pay down HER student loans before the October wedding? Why is HE making the call instead of her? What is HER job? Can SHE work more hours to pay it off? It's not a good sign that he is the one worrying about this - either she should have called in or they both should have called in. Postpone the wedding a year and let her pay off her loans before you get married.
The Antisemitism thing is so tired !!!
This show sucks without dave
😅
Then don’t watch it. Rude.
Painfully bad. He is the Star. Not sure what these folks are?
Lol, guys he is going to retire totally at some point
Na. It’s still good. But Dave has been there done that. It shows
Oil going up? He (Trump) says drill baby drill. Oil/ gas is going down. Not sure what you’re talking about. Lower gas prices drive everything down.
Less government, Ken. Preach it!
There is only so much oil. And Biden was already drill baby drill. Down short term and then what?

Wow Kyle from NY is one smart kid. Good luck to him.
Not for him trying to figure out how to pay HER debt, he's not.
If Kyle owns a business, shouldn't he keep more than 6 months in an emergency fund?
And if he has a business, he should not intermingle his finances with her debt.
GO BUCKS!! They did it!
What happened to the ramsey cruise? Havent heard anything about it

I'm from Canada, and the free trade agreement that the government's put into place isn't free! It was to make money for the country that put tariffs on Canadian exports! I might be wrong on this though
How much do you earn now? Please reply. Thanks a lot
There is a huge trade deficit between Canada and the US. Canada benefits more from the US than vv. Look it up.
Jade brings nothing to the table..no wisdom..Dave has a thing for her or she wouldn't be kept on
Didn't have medical insurance, so let's pass off his debt to the rest of us. Very unadult behavior.
@@Trustbutverify2651 Bankruptcy was also a CHOICE for Dave and Trump.
@ And you don't know the details - whether they had a complete write off or reorganized their debts. Don't jump to conclusions unless you know the details.
@Trustbutverify2651 I know he didn't have insurance. Period :/
Ken Coleman 2028!
I'm sure Kyle's new bride will love him even more for the sacrificial gift of paying off her loan.
OR take him for a ride because she didn't take care of her own business first.
