We don't know much about the ISA compared to what we know about the Helghast people, that means we have an easier time to identify with the Helghast and their struggles, we see a repressed people with strong ideals and we aspire to have the same strength and certainty in our ideals. The game should not be about the ISA fighting the Helghast, it should be about the every day Helghast soldier who's sacrificing his life for the cause he believes in. I mean we see the Helghasts home world destroyed! and the developers don't expect us to relate with that kind of struggle? why do the developers expect us to keep cheering for the "American" ISA when they're the ones destroying the Helghasts home world. In the first game it was the Helghast who attacked the ISA and we could relate to wanting to stop them, but i feel the further we get in the series the more and more we see the ISA as the enemy rather than the defenders of justice and democracy. It's more beautiful to see the perspective of a helghast rather than an ISA soldier, who's self sacrificing to the core and that's why i think the developers of this game are focusing on the wrong side of the conflict.

So for sciences sake I listened to both ISA and Helghast propaganda. All I can say is this is the ISA propaganda is very flat toned almost as if the speaker would rather be doing something else than be giving motivation to troops. While Helghast, Visari is very passionate with his speech and the echo of the microphones adds character to how the Helghast do their propaganda. Heck during Helghast propaganda I expect to hear cheering in some of the parts of Visari's speech all in all the Helghast have the better propaganda machine than the side we have to play in the killzone games.
The ISA is meant to invoke the apathetic arrogance of liberal democracies that think they are the end of history. It's meant to be similar to how news presenters in English speaking 1st world countries address war and actions in places like the Middle East like their actions are foregone conclusions
In comparison the helghast are reacting to several generations of hardship. A society that was crushed and had nothing to live for after having their world ripped from them and having to live on a world of dust with nothing to nr proud of. It's on these periods irl that reactions appear in the extreme in order to claw back some sense of self worth and it's extremely attractive to a people who barely eat and live their lives with nothing to look foward to
I agree nearly all of the ISA characters sucked the only well written character (in my opinion) was the starting character from Killzone 1 and the main character from Killzone 2 and 3.
We so badly need a new Killzone game. I want a reboot that mixes the designs and visuals of the first 2 games so it is like a WW2 based game with sci-fi tech, which is where the game is set - in a semi-distant future, where the world has a mix of old, modern and sci-fi tech. Or a proper RTS game, or similar to Battlefield or Battlefront on a grand scale. I want a true, massive Killzone game!
Id admit, Visari is a damn good speech writer, hell i felt like id fight for Helghan any day with his speeches. ISA may be the good guys at some level, but Helghast uniforms are awsome, intimidating, and will serve as the figure the enemies of the Helghast will see in their nightmares, and their last sight before death.
The Helghast are not nazis. They are centrists who want to see things through no matter what. While the ISA have become something else in particular. The just don’t know or see it yet. The ICSA on the other hand, are a collection of humanitarian separatists seeking the benefits for is people. I am wondering if we might play as them, including the Helghast in future campaigns.
Let's hope. I so badly want Killzone 1 2 and 3 and al the spinoffs remastered/remade, following the same story, but looking more high tech as in the later games, but mixed with a WW2/1 feel like the first game, as was intended. I want to play through everything in one giant Killzone game, including a non-canon campaign of Helghan victory and conquering numerous planets, including Earth.
The ICSA are also a curious concept of a faction within the universe. They seem to be close allies of the empire and the complete opposite of the UCN and their ISA puppets, willing to fight for fullest independence and grant subjugated colonized planets membership into their sanctuary. I wanna learn more about their history, origins and their military and perhaps see it’s integration within the Helghan Empire while playing as one of them all the while fighting alone side the Helghast. Now that would be something.
Have the Helghast and Helveks (Human-Helghast hybrids) start with either 385 or 485 colonies as a start and see how it goes from there after emerging victorious in an alternate First Extrasolar War timeline. Plus: have the UCN/UCA and ICSA as playable factions.

I don't think they had the slightest clue. The accidentally wrote a whole grand opera that is one of the best discussions of nations and war, period, true and classic as any ancient myth or epic. It could be written to the setting of the 2nd Punic war, and it'd be considered a Shakespearean masterpiece. However with time I think the industry has realised what they made by accident. They don't let the Killzone games be updated for backward compatibility. Merch and cosplay is dampened by the themes and atmosphere, etc. It's really a suppressed masterpiece. I saw that the franchise's first official acknowledgement in over 10 years, (10 years ago I asked you for time, and that time was granted...) was just for a cosmetic reskin in the Last of Us 2 remaster.

I want to play through everything in one giant Killzone game, including a non-canon campaign of Helghan victory and conquering numerous planets, including Earth.
The ICSA are also a curious concept of a faction within the universe. They seem to be close allies of the empire and the complete opposite of the UCN and their ISA puppets, willing to fight for fullest independence and grant subjugated colonized planets membership into their sanctuary. I wanna learn more about their history, origins and their military and perhaps see it’s integration within the Helghan Empire while playing as one of them all the while fighting alone side the Helghast. Now that would be something.

I don't think they had the slightest clue. The accidentally wrote a whole grand opera that is one of the best discussions of nations and war, period, true and classic as any ancient myth or epic. It could be written to the setting of the 2nd Punic war, and it'd be considered a Shakespearean masterpiece.
However with time I think the industry has realised what they made by accident. They don't let the Killzone games be updated for backward compatibility. Merch and cosplay is dampened by the themes and atmosphere, etc. It's really a suppressed masterpiece.
I saw that the franchise's first official acknowledgement in over 10 years, (10 years ago I asked you for time, and that time was granted...) was just for a cosmetic reskin in the Last of Us 2 remaster.
