    This is a very good dairy farm. Calves and cows together. They are very much happy.

    I have not seen a single calf like them here for the past 50 years. here the calves are totally deprived of drinking milk and emaciated and die. I am very proud to see them healthy there.

    These have to be THE happiest little calves there can be and they are drop dead gorgeous. You can really see the harmony amongst these bovines for there is so much movement in the herd. It is so heart-warming to see all this, that there are farmers that DO care. Farming is one of THE most honourable professions there is. I have utmost respect for these remarkable people. Thank you!

    I Love your vids. I am not from a farm but have worked on them since I was about 10 years old. Unfortunately I have had to change jobs because the dairy farm I was working on in Ayrshire gave up dairying and through no fault of other farmers its just the way it is, I just couldn't get the wages. Watching these however makes me realise how much I miss farming and the wonderful way of life. Keep the videos coming.

    nice to see that not all farmers choose to abuse animals in exchange for profit and greed. we as consumers are now more than ever wanting to know about where our food comes from, who the farmer is and how the animal is treated. i for one, only want to eat organic food and mea, happy to pay a premium for quality

    Grew up on a dairy farm with our cows on pasture. Since then my relatives have gone to confinement system. The cows don't even act like cows anymore. They roam around on concrete and act like zombies. Might be more 💰 in zombies than cows but I still love to see cows celebrating life on the pasture where God intended them to live.

    For all the people saying you shouldn't raise cows and be vegan and what not. If everyone was like that there would be no cows. Why have them if they aren't for milk or Meat. They would end up in the zoo and their numbers would drop to nothing. People take care of their animals being a farmer is hard but when an animal grows up to what its supposed to be you have Pride.

      @DoubleDogDare54 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is what nature dictates happens to any animal that walks on hooves and eats plants - they are intended to be used as food by carnivores and omnivores - humans being omnivores. Herbivores are designed to be eaten. That is their designated purpose in the world.
      Why do you have a problem with that?

    • @wretched8195
      @wretched8195 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nature never intended for wars, murder, slavery, homophobia and mass breeding and mass slaughter of animals, did it? You don't see lions keeping gazelles in crates or wolves slicing open the necks of restrained, locked up caribou with knives behind closed doors by the thousands. We are not naturally omnivores which is why we are disgusted by blood and intestines and can not digest meat raw. We also do not have instincts to rip apart animals because we don;t have any natural weapons. No sharp teeth and no sharp claws. Just knives, guns and traps which make even the most powerful animals defenseless. So yes, I do have a problem with that.
      Lions need to eat meat and have no other options, We can choose to not eat meat and we are better off without it. Yes hoofed, herbivorous animals are eaten by other wild animals but we have no need to. I understand that we have eaten these animals for centuries and been brainwashed to eat certain animals but we can change if we learn. Just like how war, slavery, sexism and homophobia is becoming a thing of the past. Farmed animals are some of the most vulnerable, gentle, innocent, intelligent and kind animals on the planet yet are so horribly treated. We as humans can change this. We have changed the world more than any other species ever has. I hope you understand this and have learned.

    • @DoubleDogDare54
      @DoubleDogDare54 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Wreck, the most important word you used in that PETA blurb of yours is the word "choose". As in "choice". We can choose in this case. You have made your choice and I have made mine. And I have no intention of changing my mind on this subject - some animals are designed by nature to be eaten and cattle are right at the top of the grocery list for humans.
      Check out the cave paintings found around the world. You don't see too many of them displaying people harvesting grains and digging up root vegetable. But you see plenty of them showing hunters armed with spears going after game animals of those times. And they weren't doing it for the fun of it. The piles of bone fragments found in cave dwellings showed that those early humans of tens of thousands of years ago were eating those large animals. Meat was definitely on the menu for the caveman.
      And, yes, humans are perfectly capable of digesting raw meat. I don't know where you got the idea we can't but your info is wrong. And as far as blood and intestines and guts are concerned, you obviously have never heard of how sausage is made, using intestines as casing and many cultures and cuisines use blood in cooking. Think I'm kidding? Google "cooking with blood" and then get back to me on what you find.
      The problem with you vegans is you have elevated plant eating into a quasi religious experience, pack a holier-than-thou attitude about yourselves and are out to convert the world with all the enthusiasm of Muslim jihadis out to convert or kill infidels.
      Think I'm kidding about that last part? Hate to tell you the number of times on YT alone I have run across comments from vegetable worshipers on how everyone who eats meat needs to be tortured, chopped up and killed in the most horrible fashion imaginable to save the poor animals. I find it interesting that they have zero problem with torture and murder of humans and place far more value on the life of a bull calf than they do the lives of human beings.
      The vegetable people I find the most interesting in these discussions are the ones who say they wish the entire human race would kill themselves off so our little animal friends would be safe from us. When I offer my .357 magnum for them to use to blow their own brains out first, they suddenly disappear and stop posting.
      So, do your plant eating cult and fellow zombies a big favor and learn to keep your eyes on your own plate and nose out of the choices and diets of other people who don't shiver in anticipation over a bowl of lentils. You'll get farther if you do, rather than dragging sex, slavery and homosexuality into the mix as red herrings.

    • @DoubleDogDare54
      @DoubleDogDare54 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      As far as hunting animals for food is concerned, the difference between humans and predators such as lions, wolves and hyenas is that humans hunt/hunted with their brains instead of teeth and claws. Rather than running down a bison and trying to hamstring it with our teeth and grab its windpipe in our mouth and suffocate it, humans developed hunting tactics and methods that made up for the lack of teeth and claws but still allowed us to consume such animals - we stampeded them over cliffs or rammed spears and arrows into them to kill them. With the modern era we developed guns and can shoot them from great distances instead. Much safer and the bison never knows what hit them.
      And that part about not having the "instincts to rip apart animals because we don'e have any natural weapons"? Hey, who needs "natural weapons" when you have the brain power to develop skinning knives and butcher knives and buck knives that do the job much quicker and better than a mouthful of sharp teeth? Not only that, our distant ancestors all developed methods where they could dry and jerk the extra meat from animals and save it for future use, something the average lion or jackal never had the wits to do.
      And not only were humans smart enough to learn how to hunt and kill prey animals many times their size, they also learned how to domesticate many of those species to keep them as a usable bank of food without having to go through the dangers of hunting to slaughter them. Why go out and chase big wild cattle down when you can capture some young ones, tame them, breed them and then butcher the extras when you need a reliable source of food in the winter?
      We also learned to make up for our lack of speed, teeth and claws by domesticating and using other predators that had those attributes but lacked our brains - dogs, cheetahs, ferrets, raptors of various sorts. And if hauling down herbivores wasn't working too well depending on where our ancestors lived, they also learned to catch and net fish, net birds, harvest eggs from bird nests and even developed a genetic mutation that allowed humans to drink animal milk and utilize that food source as well.
      So, when it comes to denigrating humans as hunters and predators, you are flat wrong. We were and still are the greatest predators on the planet, bar none, all all because we are much more intelligent than the other animals on Earth.
