A Year in the Life of the Home Field (DOTF Series 2 Ep3)

September 2010: The agronomist, Matthew, visits to discuss the coming season.
November 2010: Ben cultivates the soil in preparation for planting.
December 2010: Steve drills the wheat into the frosty ground (rather late, due to a very wet Autumn!)
May 2011: Dad puts fertiliser onto the crop to provide more nutrients.
September 2011: The combine arrives to harvest the wheat followed closely by the baler; the next day the bales are picked up and a sample of grain is taken to the mill for testing.
