This the story about a group of people who founded the association "Kuhrrettung Rhein-Berg - Lebenshof for animals -" in the Bergisches Land (near Cologne) since 2012.

After the winter season this cow-herd (included some young cows, which are not jet started to give milk, and never need to, and one bull) are coming out to the open field again. At this moment, is is a few months ago, that there are saved from saughterhouse by the neigbourhood. Usually, cows are happy when they get out in spring, but these cows are happier than the avarage dairy cow (they have no more stress in their live, from giving milk until their body is leached out, or from losing their childern) and you can feel their special happiness in the video.
The Song from about 1:30 is from Marco Brignoli "Crazy Horse" and we love it that song very much and we found it in Garage band from Aplle music software. And we are thanks to youtube user "Eyes of Italy" who found the name of song and author.

I have asked my self over the decades of my life why people continue to question if animals have a soul or emotion and compassion? I have seen it in so many ways before, a deer nursing my two puppies. My female Shepard Bobbie, raising fostered kittens as if she were their mother. I have seen a dog, cat and goat all looking sad at doing something I was not happy with them for doing. Long ago I looked at this and so many other proofs, there is no question for me any longer about our place among the many creatures of this wonderful planet we live upon. Our's is not to rule the animal Kingdom, it is to live in harmony with them all.

This absolutely breaks my heart. I don't know whether to smile or to cry. I'm so happy for them, but I'm also horrified and saddened by the suffering they've experienced. Although I'm vegetarian, I firmly believe that everyone should be able to eat whatever they want - however, as a species, we REALLY need to universally decide to treat our livestock better. They deserve to live happy lives, and die deaths free of pain and suffering.

Chef style meals ancient grains and nut mixes and chimichangas and hummus homemade. Lots of quinoa and cous cous, barley olives peanut butter sauces and sandwichs, and vegan bowls are amazing

really. ive been to jail, maybe thats why im vegetarian. btw my fam wants me to go fishing can i catch and eat one and my dad is raising tilapis we have 55 that need to be harvested. but we grew them. is that ok? Ive had no meat for 2 months btw. and loving it i can make hummus in like 30 secs flat.

Not meaning to offend, I'm just speaking as someone that has raised cattle and wants to provide some insight. Domesticated livestock require a lot of upkeep, even if you don't plan to use them for anything. Even these dairy cows will have terrible issues if they suddenly stop milking them overnight. Hoof rot, gastrointestinal problems, parasites, and various diseases must be treated.

brilliant video, i gave up eating beef because i dont like the way they were treated, gave up pork, lamb too. i prefer fruit and veg as my diet now and see animals as other beings who think and feel just as we do. just wish everyone would do the same and live healthy longer lives. thanks for sharing :)

I found this video to be very moving indeed and in this crazy world it is fantastic to see respect for these lovely Cows,to see them happily bouncing around and allowing them to live out their lives.Makes a change from seeing these horrible pictures of Cows with gaping holes in their sides made by psychopaths(fistula Cows) which makes me very sad and worried indeed.

And there is a massive difference between animals in the wild having to kill each other for survival, and you going to your grocery store, buying meat and acting like you need it to survive. The only people who have the right to hunt their food are the tribes and natives who live remotely and actually have to hunt to eat.
I highly recommend you read up and educate yourself on the differences between a meat and plant based diet. Your opinions, views, and the way you compare wild animals to people shows you have a very limited understanding of the vegan viewpoint.

I dream of a world where humanity sees that we do not require meat in our diets to live a long healthy life, and begin to see the cruelty in the meat industry.
But that world is beyond my lifetime. Animal cruelty actually appears to be getting worse than better with time, yes, the slaughtering of animals and the lives they are lead to live before hand is 'animal cruelty'.
I'm a vegan, I'm not dead or dying yet, how bad is it to stop consuming these poor animals? I mean c'mon, if there is one thing I will never understand, it is how eating meat (as a species that doesn't need meat, as a species that is capable of feeling remorse, as a species that doesn't live by instinct & as a species that believes in morals), sees the meat industry as acceptable.

This video has somewhat misleading connotations. I grew up on a dairy farm in New Zealand until I was 18. Here animals live their whole lives outside, eating the lushest, longest grass the farmer is able to grow for them and having plenty of space to wander around. Cattle "jump for joy" like this whenever they enter an area of new pasture, regardless of whether they've been locked up inside for long periods of time or not.
I do, however, think that shed farming, which is prevalent in Europe, is rough on the animals. I like the message of this video, but to be honest it is making out that the cattle kicking into the air when they get into the paddock is a rare occurance. It isn't.
