Solo kills are not just final blows. "Cleanup when people are low" won't work, you need to be the one who did all the damage (I'm 90% sure even getting healed while doing damage also makes it not count as a solo kill since you get assisted) and you can't use wraith since it auto reloads.
Was gonna say this you cant clean up. 3 solo kills in 1 clip is borderline impossible. Cant think of any situation where you can solo 3 people without anyone else touching them in such few shota

Suggestion: The devs should add some more fun achievements into the game. We have 2 per character already, but there could be so many more (TF2 has a couple hundred). Some examples are things like bumping into an enemy cloaked Sombra while you yourself are cloaked, defeating an enemy Genji using blade with your ult as Hanzo, or landing the killing blow against x number of airborne enemies as Reinhardt. There doesn’t need to be much award for the achievements (a handful of credits and the occasional spray or title would do), because the act of getting them is a reward in and of itself. It feels amazing whenever I get the popup and sound effect for one of the current achievements, but there’s so few of them that I can’t remember the last time it happened. This could be a fun way to encourage player engagement by providing players with little mini goals and occasional, unexpected dopamine hits. It also (probably) wouldn’t take that much development effort to implement since they already have a system for it in place
This isn’t as big of a problem after the passive regen, but playing as a dive character (or bscly anything) and not getting your health topped off between engages can be super frustrating.

Each shell is 20 Pellets, each Pellet has a Max Damage of 5.4 or 108 as a body shot, if my some mythical scenario every pellet is a Head shot that's 216 damage Most characters have a max HP of 250 so a Minimum of 2 shells per target and in Theory a 1 shot on Tracer and Widow, but any kind of healing on those enemies Can make it easily take 3 shells to kill, Playing reaper and get any kind of Damage Boost? Can't get the achievement, Mauga hit Cardiac Overdrive and you were in Range? No achievement, you in Range of the teams Lucio? No Achievement, spent a tenth of a second in side Juno's Ult? No achievement. theres way too many effects in the game that stop it counting as a Solo Kill for the achievement
i dont play lucio so had to check. yes it does, in the middle of the screen. Suggestion: Allow us to scale the size of UI. I want that +--3>> (heal/speed} to be bigger. I'm blind without my glasses, cant even read my monitor 30cm from my face with out glasses

QoL change for Symmetra: She should have a UI indicator that points to her teleporter like a compass. There are too many times where I try to retreat backward to my porter but get lost and die. When the killcam plays, I'm always one or two steps away from it. It's just annoying

Suggestion: let everyone in the match see and hear mythic ults, voice lines and voice changers (if in los and the skin is equipped). an example could be orisa’s ult where it appears like a normal orisa ult to the enemy. this would be to increase the uniqueness of mythics and to make them stand out more.
Hitting thorns as Lifeweaver should charge his next Blossom (like Soj Rail) in addition to its passive charge so weaving is actually rewarded. Gives him more offensive utility and proactive playstyle while still having the same kit. Maybe nerf the passive charge rate to compensate. 🤓

Suggestion. Arcade doesnt need 7 playable game modes, most of which you cant even queue into because of lack of players. Maybe shorten it to 2 or 3 modes that rotate daily. This would also help queue times.
I just wrote the following suggestion and then read your comment suggestion: show how many people are in Q for arcade games / or the expected wait time. Seeing people in the Q encourages me to join because I know I'm not going to be in a 30min Q waiting for no one, however, this could run the risk of no one ever joining. A good example is from apex, the 2v2 mode would tell you how many people were in the Q. Alternately id prefer they move all of the arcade games to the unranked menu and rename the menu quickplay games, tho, I get people will complain about the UI being cluttered, which is an easy to fix.
Waste not, want not means you have to kill 3 full hp targets without anyone damaging them at all. In just one clip and you specifically can not use your ult to finish them. It's practically impossible do with the HP changes from season 9. It should definitely be moved aslongside the discord orb one down one person needed.
The tutorial needs to revamped to factor in the few things it doesn't tell players. (Like the DPS passive UI or the fact that you can crouch). On top of that the F1 screens need more information and touchups. Eg Symms one doesn't tell you that she has shield vampirism or that her turrets grant walls on players they damage.
When you have DOT damage, your health bar that will be consumed by the full duration of the burn/bleed should be colored red. It’s handy for knowing if you’re deadman walking and info for supports that tell you are a priority.
Suggestion: Moira is next in line for a rework. 1. You should be able to stop the orb in place. 2. the piss and succ should be more like a sym beam and take a little bit more skill to make an impact + they can buff the raw numbers a bit. Brig's repair packs give significant healing over time in addition to the initial burst heal. Sometimes you WANT to toss one at a full-HP target if you think they're about to take some damage, or at a 'naded target, etc.
I sometimes toss my Repair Pack at my engaging Tracer as soon as she turns a corner that way when she gets hit by like a Cass shot, she doesn't have to back up to heal or recall though some of my Tracer's still recall out of impulse as they don't trust their supports which is understandable in Rank. Getting competent supports is rare

This is minor QOL, but in the push map UI, meters should not measure distance traveled, but distance remaining to the next checkpoint. That would make cases of last touch easier to perform, without needing to know that that it’s a 163.87 meter push to capture first checkpoint Gibraltar, or whatever. You just have to know don’t let it tick to zero.
I'm also 100% certain that window of opportunity is actually 2500 and not 2000. Also the fact that the 'get 4 kills with pharah without touching the ground' hasn't been changed is crazy considering she can't stay in the air 24/7 anymore.
For Ana's Nano, you can preselect someone you want to give it to so when you press the button and there's 3 people in your face it hits who you preselect
Suggestion: Junker Queen and Brig should have an indicator of how many people are in the range of Shout and Inspire. Much like Lucio and Ball have. Especially since neither have a visual aura before activating, and both are instant abilities, either someone was in range or not, unlike Lucio and Mauga's aura healing.
What if with Queen their is a faint icon of her shout range on your screen when you are in range and when it's off cooldown? Then make it fully visible when she pops it. Maybe there would be too much clutter idk

Pinging through glass can definitely be done, considering you can ping enemies when they are visible by any revealing abilities. In fact, it is arguably the same idea since you can only ping an enemy because you are actively seeing it.
1:45 besides the fact there should be an FOV slider for console: Halo Infinite allows adjusting the weapon model up, down, left, right, forward, and back.
Feel free to steal this idea: If you're looking for a way to buff Mauga without simply reverting back some of his power, then refill his guns with 100 ammo when he uses cardiac overdrive. You could also simply just give him 50 ammo.
It's definitely possible to ping someone through glass. OverWatch must be the only game you play. Name like six or seven off the top of my head that do this already
They should add a tank that has shared healthbar as an aoe effect, which will make players automatically shoot the tank no matter who they are shooting (if you shoot a tracer within the range the tank takes a portion of the damage incoming) This ability has a functions like rein/sig shield where it builds up over time when not in use, with a maximum of 1500 damage mitigated before the ability needs to cool of completely, regening at the same speed as the other shields. I call this ability meatshield. Second ability: spikestrip. you place down piles of caltrops where if enemies walk through will take damage over time Ultimate: Jailbird, you jam all guns in an area of effect for two seconds, and then he pulls out like a huge blaster that shoots zarya-looking balls with emp charges that jam the enemy guns if you hit them, this status effect only last 2x reload for dps/support and 1x reload for tanks (per hit) His name is Chief, as in chief of police. The junkrat tire take is something shared by Junkrat players all around, tire stayed at 100 HP after season 9 despite the projectile size changes. You can definitely play safer/smarter with it, but I do think a small health buff (25 health, for example) is deserved considering it's a Lot easier to kill now if you're at all paying attention, compared to how it was before Also lucio aura *does* tell you how many allies are inside of it
The ability to have “Highlight Stealers” should not be a thing that only sombra has. I do understand that it’s her character to hack things, but it would be infinitely cooler if other heroes had highlight intro stealers too. Things like Rein smashing the camera and charging onto the view or an Orisa javelin piecing the screen to reveal her. The possibilities are endless
Roadhog: They tested a rework where Hog could heal his team with an AoE when he used Take a Breather but it didn't fit well. What if they used the same concept but instead using Take A Breather released a low damage AoE poison cloud similar to Venom Mine? This area denial ability could allow him to combo Hook and Breather to pull targets into poison. He would also become better at holding positions like capture points. DoT effects like fire and poison don't often result in a kill in OW, but the residual damage could be a good way for a non-shield tank to hold space.
Ain't no way you just called giving tire more HP a metal rank take. They increased health across the board, they increased projectile size to make landing shots earlier, but tire should still be at 100? Try actually playing Junkrat in higher ranks & let me know how easy it is for you to get value out of tire vs how easily it can be destroyed.
Suggestion: Widow either takes a game in the hostage or does not exist. We need that kind of sniper in the game and yet, I hate her in this state. One-shot sould be not just an LMC thing. Its the worst. Why not... 1) Make Widow charge up faster, yet have lower max dmg. Instead give her increased dmg in an ultimate. 2) Can go further and let her make a super-shot once every 20s on sniper if LMC is pressed down continuously. 3) Go very far and decrease the time limitation on it, when you get out of the ~25 meters range from the previous super-shot location. They already have tracker systems like the one the Tracer uses. Now she cant one-shot 5 ppl in a row, has a reason to be active (so less one-pixel-holding) and so she is more fun to deal with even if not easier. High dmg, has one-shots, rewarded for movement, ultimate becomes fearsome, takes even more skill. And you can tweak her mine and smg now, fgs!
Taking from Marvel Rivals, I think they should implement the ui element where you can see what hero your teammates are selecting but not locked in on during hero select, at a lower opacity like your own is.
Pharah rockets having infinite range is kinda crazy given the amount of movement she now has. Since they don't want to give projectiles falloff damage, I think Pharahs rockets should have a maximum range where they will automatically explode. This would accomplish the goal of making Pharah less spammy and require her to actually put in some risk, as well as helping projectile heroes to fight back.
Suggestion: Brig’s “Inspire” passive activates upon Barrier Shield taking damage. This then makes her passive be more of a passive rather than an aggressive, and also making her more of a Tank Support hybrid than a Tank DPS Support hybrid. (Side note, I mainly was behind this in 6v6, but as of right now I personally don’t think any changes to Brig are even necessary)
Suggestion: the ability to have custom colors for HUD stuff. There's a limited amount of colors for customizing HP, teams, etc, and while it doesn't make too much of a difference, it feels similar to how it would be nice to customize what ult voice lines are, just some silly customization to add to characters that are cosmetic
Suggestion: make DoT/poison damage (ana’s gun, ram ult radius, ashe dynamite, soj disruptor) ignore some of or all damage reduction kind of like winston’s tesla cannon ignores armor. Suggestion: Hammond's shields should be split between allies by default at the end of his ability. While other tanks buff their team passively, Wrecking Ball has to sacrifice his self-survival. This would lower his skill floor to most players
This wouldnt lower his skill floor for players. It would make it harder because, less shields overall for you. Plus abilities with free value I.E. he just gives shield automatically DO NOT BELONG in games. Also nothing about ball is team oriented, forcing him into being a team play tank will ruin him as a hero.
Suggestion: allow either a map vote or the ability to choose what maps/modes you want to play in qp. Any variation of this would make the game 1,000% better. And would allow devs to see what maps/modes need tweaking.
Throwing a Repair Pack at a full HP hero isn't always a bad thing though. They get healing over a duration of time, so you can use to pre-heal someone if they're going out of your healing range and are going to need it. Sometimes if I have a flanker on my team or, say, a Genji using Dragonblade and I know they're going to go in deep in the enemy team I'll toss them a couple of Packs so they get that healing to support them when they're away from me.
This might be an interesting suggestion for Tree of Life ult: instead it being a stationary Brig rally, it instead makes everyone’s health near it freeze (they cant get damaged or healed) and this effect can be undone by destroying the tree (tree HP can be modified). This ult can give a different spice to support ults.
This would make Tree a detriment to your team and an annoyance to the enemy. What's the point of a healing character if his ability nulls healing, and what's the point of going to damage enemies if damage is null. All this ability is good for is capping a point on attack, because as long as your team isn't dead, there's no possible way you can ever lose the team fight. Tree's HP would have to be piss poor for this to be fair, and if it is, then the ult is useless because it goes down as soon as it comes up.
suggestion: every support hero should have a player icon above the health bar ui when you're getting actively healed (like zen and mercy when using orb or heal beam). it'd be useful to know which certain heal passives are active such as brig's inspire, moira's heal over time etc.
Suggestion: Junkrat should be able to charge up trap and throw it further distances. This would come with a significant rebalance, but it would make his kit more intuitive than how it currently is. He’s outclassed by other heroes who have the same job as him. I love junkrat but he could really use something exciting to play around with
Suggestion: Quickpay should be a separate mode with short matches, less penalties and restrictions for more casual playerbase and UNRATED should be just a competitive mode but without ranks (respectively).

For the first suggestion with the visual effects, you can already do it to some extent , turn the games graphics to the low setting and leave the textures in high ( if you want) , the game will look mostly the same but it will reduce some of the visual clutter and particle effects.
Suggestion: Reaper should have an ability to create a shadow clone of himself. If the shadow clone runs into someone, they get inflicted with a damage over time status effect, similar to Widowmaker’s Venom Mine. This shadow clone of Reaper would hard aggro on an enemy. An ability like this would make Reaper’s kit less bland and add more variety with him
Pinging through glass absolutely SHOULD be in the game, but it isn’t a big enough deal to warrant a change if the current line of sight logic is too difficult to modify. There’s no reason other than opportunity cost to not put it in the game, but that may be a good enough reason anyway.
Suggestion: When reviewing a VOD in game, you should be able to hit TAB just like in game to bring up the scoreboard, which of course corresponds/updates in real time while reviewing a VOD.
I mean you can already ping through walls... If a widow uses her ult or Hanzo with is his arrow, you can ping through walls because you can see them through walls. So, it only makes logical sense that you should be able to ping through windows, since they are essentially just walls you can see through.

I don't know if this actually classifies as a Hot Take or not, but Mythic Weapons should just be a flat 50 Prisms for the full weapon (all Tiers unlocked). Charging 50 Prisms for the base weapon, then an additional 30 Prisms for 3 tiers of slight animation changes, is overkill.
Suggestion: Reinhardts earthshatter headshot should do damage based on the distance fallen during the shatter, so if you jump off of a building in shatter you could one shot kill squishies (which due to the health buffs is no longer possible)
Knockbacks should not fully cancel movement abilities. Instead, the game should calculate the hero's movement ability and the knockback strength, then subtract accordingly. For example, if Reinhardt is charging at 20 m/s and Junker Queen pulls him back at 5 m/s in the opposite direction, rather than having Reinhardt move backward for a few seconds, it should just slow him down to 15 m/s. It feels unfair when my movement ability is fully canceled.
In unity and proly unreal the raycast uses a layer system.whe nu raycast u can ignore layers and u can assign layers to gameobjects making pinging through glass super simple.ow has its own game engine and might not have this layer system or raycast might not have a layer field which lets u ignore glass
8:30 i could be misremembering but lucio did tell you how many people were in his aoe because i remeber using it when i had bad internet and played on 600 ping. I think they removed it when they added in the visible aura because than you could see everyone in your small aura so it wasn't nessciary
You can't get too greedy with riptire, just sneak it behind them until you find one or two isolated heroes and get them as soon as you can. This goes for most offensive ults tbh.
Also related to the suggestion from the title I guess. I had moments when I wanted to ping the objective or something, and it would ping the enemy behind like 5 walls? My character is like "enemy here" and I'm like "??? good to know??".
Regarding the Brig repair pack refund. There is a strat to give someone repair packs before they go in. Her repair packs give 50hp/s for 2 seconds per pack. If you give all three it gives 50hp/s for 6 seconds. This strategy would almost certainly need to be removed with this refund feature.
Suggestion: With Hanzo's arrow charge up time being increased, the devs should get rid of his 30% movement penalty when charging up the shot if the devs don't tone down the charge up time. I've noticed if you get caught in a 1v1 without storm arrows and you miss the hs on your first shot, you rarely ever get the chance to fire off another full charged shot (especially in higher ranks).
So what if they did a queue system like Smite had implemented at some point? They had a timer that counts down for all game modes showing which could potentially get you into a game quicker. The flaw was that you werent guaranteed to find a game, but were given queue priority if not.
Since we can save sensitivity settings on any specific hero we should be able to save any specific crosshair setting as well instead of sharing it with everyone (crosses, dots, defaults, etc)
Suggestion: Let Reaper wraith while he is using his ultimate. Just like Moira, he can use his escape ability if things go wrong while he is ulting, ofc this will come at the cost of ending his ult early but could be a nice QOL change for him.

5vs5 is official the simplyfied mode against visual clutter but you will not see that cause juno ult, ram ult, lw tree! :) Let us ping through glass walls cause there is no difference between walls and glass walls - more information that we can use - its blizz decision if thats possible or not
9:29 this one confuses me, this is already a feature in the game, the crit sign doesn't change but allies will be different colors through walls at different healths already. like a full health ally will be blue and a half hp ally will be yellow and a crit ally will be orange
I had a clash game where I was able to solo contest point as Juno because my junk was edging the tire around a wall near me. Stalled point way better than if junk himself helped me on point. Riptire doesnt need buffs lol
Suggestion. Soldiers Ult is one of the weakest in the game. When he uses visor. Every shot should be a headshot, but the ult cost should be increased by 10-15% and it should last 5 seconds instead. Also reaper should be able to cancel is ult in the middle to be able to escape pressure.
1:41 not to mention now that zen has a cooldown on how often he can place discord orb on an enemy it’s a lot harder to get that rapid discord achievement. It used to be easy to spam it and get it done.

Alternately id prefer they move all of the arcade games to the unranked menu and rename the menu quickplay games, tho, I get people will complain about the UI being cluttered, which is an easy to fix.
Waste not, want not means you have to kill 3 full hp targets without anyone damaging them at all. In just one clip and you specifically can not use your ult to finish them. It's practically impossible do with the HP changes from season 9. It should definitely be moved aslongside the discord orb one down one person needed.

The tutorial needs to revamped to factor in the few things it doesn't tell players. (Like the DPS passive UI or the fact that you can crouch). On top of that the F1 screens need more information and touchups. Eg Symms one doesn't tell you that she has shield vampirism or that her turrets grant walls on players they damage.

When you have DOT damage, your health bar that will be consumed by the full duration of the burn/bleed should be colored red. It’s handy for knowing if you’re deadman walking and info for supports that tell you are a priority.
Suggestion: Moira is next in line for a rework. 1. You should be able to stop the orb in place. 2. the piss and succ should be more like a sym beam and take a little bit more skill to make an impact + they can buff the raw numbers a bit. Brig's repair packs give significant healing over time in addition to the initial burst heal. Sometimes you WANT to toss one at a full-HP target if you think they're about to take some damage, or at a 'naded target, etc.

This is minor QOL, but in the push map UI, meters should not measure distance traveled, but distance remaining to the next checkpoint. That would make cases of last touch easier to perform, without needing to know that that it’s a 163.87 meter push to capture first checkpoint Gibraltar, or whatever. You just have to know don’t let it tick to zero.

Pinging through glass can definitely be done, considering you can ping enemies when they are visible by any revealing abilities. In fact, it is arguably the same idea since you can only ping an enemy because you are actively seeing it.

It's definitely possible to ping someone through glass. OverWatch must be the only game you play. Name like six or seven off the top of my head that do this already
They should add a tank that has shared healthbar as an aoe effect, which will make players automatically shoot the tank no matter who they are shooting (if you shoot a tracer within the range the tank takes a portion of the damage incoming) This ability has a functions like rein/sig shield where it builds up over time when not in use, with a maximum of 1500 damage mitigated before the ability needs to cool of completely, regening at the same speed as the other shields. I call this ability meatshield.
Second ability: spikestrip. you place down piles of caltrops where if enemies walk through will take damage over time

The junkrat tire take is something shared by Junkrat players all around, tire stayed at 100 HP after season 9 despite the projectile size changes. You can definitely play safer/smarter with it, but I do think a small health buff (25 health, for example) is deserved considering it's a Lot easier to kill now if you're at all paying attention, compared to how it was before

The ability to have “Highlight Stealers” should not be a thing that only sombra has. I do understand that it’s her character to hack things, but it would be infinitely cooler if other heroes had highlight intro stealers too. Roadhog: They tested a rework where Hog could heal his team with an AoE when he used Take a Breather but it didn't fit well. What if they used the same concept but instead using Take A Breather released a low damage AoE poison cloud similar to Venom Mine? This area denial ability could allow him to combo Hook and Breather to pull targets into poison. He would also become better at holding positions like capture points. DoT effects like fire and poison don't often result in a kill in OW, but the residual damage could be a good way for a non-shield tank to hold space.

Widow either takes a game in the hostage or does not exist. We need that kind of sniper in the game and yet, I hate her in this state.
One-shot sould be not just an LMC thing. Its the worst.
Why not...
1) Make Widow charge up faster, yet have lower max dmg. Instead give her increased dmg in an ultimate.
2) Can go further and let her make a super-shot once every 20s on sniper if LMC is pressed down continuously.
3) Go very far and decrease the time limitation on it, when you get out of the ~25 meters range from the previous super-shot location. They already have tracker systems like the one the Tracer uses.
Now she cant one-shot 5 ppl in a row, has a reason to be active (so less one-pixel-holding) and so she is more fun to deal with even if not easier.
High dmg, has one-shots, rewarded for movement, ultimate becomes fearsome, takes even more skill. And you can tweak her mine and smg now, fgs!
Taking from Marvel Rivals, I think they should implement the ui element where you can see what hero your teammates are selecting but not locked in on during hero select, at a lower opacity like your own is.
Pharah rockets having infinite range is kinda crazy given the amount of movement she now has. Since they don't want to give projectiles falloff damage, I think Pharahs rockets should have a maximum range where they will automatically explode.
This would accomplish the goal of making Pharah less spammy and require her to actually put in some risk, as well as helping projectile heroes to fight back.
Suggestion: Brig’s “Inspire” passive activates upon Barrier Shield taking damage. This then makes her passive be more of a passive rather than an aggressive, and also making her more of a Tank Support hybrid than a Tank DPS Support hybrid.
(Side note, I mainly was behind this in 6v6, but as of right now I personally don’t think any changes to Brig are even necessary)
Suggestion: the ability to have custom colors for HUD stuff. There's a limited amount of colors for customizing HP, teams, etc, and while it doesn't make too much of a difference, it feels similar to how it would be nice to customize what ult voice lines are, just some silly customization to add to characters that are cosmetic
Suggestion: make DoT/poison damage (ana’s gun, ram ult radius, ashe dynamite, soj disruptor) ignore some of or all damage reduction kind of like winston’s tesla cannon ignores armor. I feel like it would bring more counterplay to characters like orisa or ram that can block insane amounts of damage, and since there are not that many characters that have this ability it would not be that broken.
Suggestion: Hammond's shields should be split between allies by default at the end of his ability. While other tanks buff their team passively, Wrecking Ball has to sacrifice his self-survival. This would lower his skill floor to most players

ping through glass walls seems more than doable. The data for transparency should already be readily available for every instance of walls.
Throwing a Repair Pack at a full HP hero isn't always a bad thing though. They get healing over a duration of time, so you can use to pre-heal someone if they're going out of your healing range and are going to need it. Sometimes if I have a flanker on my team or, say, a Genji using Dragonblade and I know they're going to go in deep in the enemy team I'll toss them a couple of Packs so they get that healing to support them when they're away from me.
Start climbing walls behind to get be hind the team with rat. And nothing personal but solo ult-ing mercy (if there is one) is always a solid option.
This might be an interesting suggestion for Tree of Life ult: instead it being a stationary Brig rally, it instead makes everyone’s health near it freeze (they cant get damaged or healed) and this effect can be undone by destroying the tree (tree HP can be modified). This ult can give a different spice to support ults.
This would make Tree a detriment to your team and an annoyance to the enemy. What's the point of a healing character if his ability nulls healing, and what's the point of going to damage enemies if damage is null. All this ability is good for is capping a point on attack, because as long as your team isn't dead, there's no possible way you can ever lose the team fight. Tree's HP would have to be piss poor for this to be fair, and if it is, then the ult is useless because it goes down as soon as it comes up.
Balls boop should apply a 0.01 second stun so that he can interuppt things like doom, or rein, or hog, or mauga, or sigma, or orisa can.
suggestion: every support hero should have a player icon above the health bar ui when you're getting actively healed (like zen and mercy when using orb or heal beam). it'd be useful to know which certain heal passives are active such as brig's inspire, moira's heal over time etc.
Suggestion: Junkrat should be able to charge up trap and throw it further distances. This would come with a significant rebalance, but it would make his kit more intuitive than how it currently is. He’s outclassed by other heroes who have the same job as him. I love junkrat but he could really use something exciting to play around with
Suggestion: Quickpay should be a separate mode with short matches, less penalties and restrictions for more casual playerbase and UNRATED should be just a competitive mode but without ranks (respectively).
I think the issue then becomes queue times as you're essentially splitting the QP playerbase essentially in half

For the first suggestion with the visual effects, you can already do it to some extent , turn the games graphics to the low setting and leave the textures in high ( if you want) , the game will look mostly the same but it will reduce some of the visual clutter and particle effects.
Suggestion: Reaper should have an ability to create a shadow clone of himself. If the shadow clone runs into someone, they get inflicted with a damage over time status effect, similar to Widowmaker’s Venom Mine. This shadow clone of Reaper would hard aggro on an enemy. An ability like this would make Reaper’s kit less bland and add more variety with him
Pinging through glass absolutely SHOULD be in the game, but it isn’t a big enough deal to warrant a change if the current line of sight logic is too difficult to modify. There’s no reason other than opportunity cost to not put it in the game, but that may be a good enough reason anyway.
Suggestion: When reviewing a VOD in game, you should be able to hit TAB just like in game to bring up the scoreboard, which of course corresponds/updates in real time while reviewing a VOD.

I don't know if this actually classifies as a Hot Take or not, but Mythic Weapons should just be a flat 50 Prisms for the full weapon (all Tiers unlocked). Charging 50 Prisms for the base weapon, then an additional 30 Prisms for 3 tiers of slight animation changes, is overkill.
Suggestion: Reinhardts earthshatter headshot should do damage based on the distance fallen during the shatter, so if you jump off of a building in shatter you could one shot kill squishies (which due to the health buffs is no longer possible)
Knockbacks should not fully cancel movement abilities. Instead, the game should calculate the hero's movement ability and the knockback strength, then subtract accordingly. For example, if Reinhardt is charging at 20 m/s and Junker Queen pulls him back at 5 m/s in the opposite direction, rather than having Reinhardt move backward for a few seconds, it should just slow him down to 15 m/s. It feels unfair when my movement ability is fully canceled.
In unity and proly unreal the raycast uses a layer system.whe nu raycast u can ignore layers and u can assign layers to gameobjects making pinging through glass super simple.ow has its own game engine and might not have this layer system or raycast might not have a layer field which lets u ignore glass

You can't get too greedy with riptire, just sneak it behind them until you find one or two isolated heroes and get them as soon as you can.

Also related to the suggestion from the title I guess. I had moments when I wanted to ping the objective or something, and it would ping the enemy behind like 5 walls? My character is like "enemy here" and I'm like "??? good to know??".
Regarding the Brig repair pack refund. There is a strat to give someone repair packs before they go in. Her repair packs give 50hp/s for 2 seconds per pack. If you give all three it gives 50hp/s for 6 seconds. This strategy would almost certainly need to be removed with this refund feature.

With Hanzo's arrow charge up time being increased, the devs should get rid of his 30% movement penalty when charging up the shot if the devs don't tone down the charge up time. I've noticed if you get caught in a 1v1 without storm arrows and you miss the hs on your first shot, you rarely ever get the chance to fire off another full charged shot (especially in higher ranks).
So what if they did a queue system like Smite had implemented at some point? They had a timer that counts down for all game modes showing which could potentially get you into a game quicker. The flaw was that you werent guaranteed to find a game, but were given queue priority if not.
They added a bookmarks feature for watching replay codes about 6 months ago.

Suggestion. Soldiers Ult is one of the weakest in the game. When he uses visor. Every shot should be a headshot, but the ult cost should be increased by 10-15% and it should last 5 seconds instead. Also reaper should be able to cancel is ult in the middle to be able to escape pressure.
