I'd argue that Ram shield might not be worth shooting every single time, especially if there's no one else around and the shield has no immediate impact. Its duration is pretty short anyways. Sigma shield is worth shooting since its on a resource (as opposed to a cooldown like Ram's).
For Rein, you need everyone to burst it down. It’s 1600 Hp right now, so one person doesn’t do anything to it, three people still take a little bit, but once it’s down, he has to back off and be afk or push w key and feed.
For Winston, I CANNOT EMPHASIZE ANY HARDER, shoot the crap out of it. Winston’s engagement tool is his leap, and his shield keeps him in for longer. The sooner it is gone, the sooner he has to leave or possibly die before he can leap again. Also, stay together when there’s a Winston - unless you can take an off-angle and escape from him if he decides to leap on you
also worth noting the context in which the user asked the question. they said on control waiting around a corner for team to respawn. shooting most shields might not be worth it. you can get ganked and stagger, and the shield might be up anyways by next fight.

I wore my first headset backward for 7 years because i didn't know it had a direction. I conditioned myself to react to a left noise by looking right so much that when it broke and i had a new pair with a more obvious direction i felt soooo weird and couldn't understand why. It took me weeks to learn everything again and play decently
When I used to visit my folks at holidays, I had a 'back up' PC there with a USB headset. For some reason during a game session, something caused it to disconnect-reconnect, and when it did the directions had been reversed. It was soooooo disorienting. It literally triggered my anxiety because there was such a clear mismatch between my senses and my brain was like "SOMETHING IS WRONG! I DON'T KNOW WHAT BUT SOMETHING. IS. WRONG!@!!"
That last one is such a mood. One Game you're "not healing enough", and the next game you're "heal botting". My best advice is turn off text team and match chat, lol. At least at low ranks. Everything KarQ said here is very true, but for me I know them flaming me gets to me psychologically. And I find that I usually realize on my own of I'm not doing enough healing, so hearing my team saying it while also degrading me is just unnecessary.
Another thing about ult splooging is poor coordination. No one comms at low levels, so three people all reach the same conclusion that their ult can turn the fight and press Q within a couple of seconds instead of picking just one that will suffice. The more you coordinate, the less that (should) happen.
I need KarQ to see this. About the zarya bubble thing, I had a game, I actually have the clip as well, where Lucio used beat and he ended up using the beat on Zarya's head at the exact moment she bubbled. The Lucio didn't get beat nor did the rest of the team, but the ultimate clearly finishes its entire animation. I'd love to send you the clip.
@@ARClegend I know the Zarya bubble has los but I've never seen Lucio not get his own Sound Barrier unless it was canceled, but you can see it clearly finish.
Tracer has undeniably the most carry potential. You don’t even have to dominate the lobby. Literally just make them KNOW you’re there and they will constantly try to deal with you and it will end horribly for them if you do it right. I’m very far from a great dps player, I main tank, (d5 dps). Literally all I do on tracer is pressure the back line until I know I can get a solo kill or if there’s an opportunity to jump on someone with the team, and I have a 70% winrate. Timing is everything
in regards to the person at 12 minutes commenting about lower rank vs higher rank play. I am same way, where my DPS is lower then my support, mostly because of my lack of aim. Generally, I will usually try to "play the way you should" but if that isnt working because of my team's position, what i usually do is just play alongside them and usually cover the backline. This is so, I can see my whole team in front of me, and react to cover them. Our supports have tunnel vision and dont watch their flank? im there to provide pressure and support. Doesnt mean I kill shit, and should a cassidy be in your own backline? probably not, but its what keeps me healed, and my support's alive. at higher ranks, i can be more aggressive because my teammates are able to take care of themselves.
Eh, Gold 2-4 is where the game is actually fun. Bronze and lower silver is just absolute chaos, while above gold you need to think about stuff like "correct positoning", and where to take the fights, which is boring, and not fun. It also turns the game into a cover shooter.
I recently just had a support game, where their Junk used tire. So I used beat about a second before it blew up, countered it. Then our weaver used tree, behind us. Their mercy used valk, hanzo on the enemy team used dragon. Then their Ana nano'd the junk. And finally our Orisa used surge. And we rolled them. No ults either way, full map advantage now. We won the round 100-0. Second point, I was holding beat for tire again. And our Weaver kept flaming me to use beat because to open. Eventually at 55-37% (for us) I decided to beat to take the point back after they used 3 ults. Our weaver, Torb, Sig then died to the tire. And weaver blames me for not countering the ult like I did last time. Some people just don't understand how ults work or when to ult.
It depends greatly on how quick you are at getting your ult back. For example, as a Hanzo, dragons are pretty quick so saving them for a "perfect" moment isn't worth it at all. You're better off winning the team fight by splitting their team and killing them with a dragon and having another dragon again in a couple team fights rather than waiting for the stars to align to try and kill 3 or 4 at once. Odds are you're not hitting more than 2 even when the stars do align and that means holding it was a waste. In certain cases (where another ult will hold them like Zarya grav, etc), it is worth delaying your ult usage a bit (like maybe 30s-60s) but not a lot. Zen trans could just as easily cancel it then as now and you could be halfway to your next one if you fire now.
With beat specifically, I don’t beat tire. A good junkrat will just wait out beat and timing it is too risky. Also, when he’s using tire and knows you’ll try to beat his ult, he’ll just try and bait it out anyway. For tire, I shoot at it and try to destroy it or boop it away last second (works if timed well and moving away from it) or I just take the L, die, and then just regroup
@@MuffMartMuffin Well in this lower metal rank, Junks are so easy to read. Since I also play a lot of junk in this rank, I pretty much am in their head. I know its not the best call to beat a tire. But it completely makes it pointless and a lot of times I tilt the enemy junk in my games cuz he just waits for me to beat to tire. Even sometimes I've gotten a second beat by the time he uses his held tire. A lot of JR mains in metal ranks wanna save it for a team wipe, but tiring and getting 1 or 2 is almost always a win fight on its own so they save it forever.
PLAYERS WHO ARE GOOD ARE WILLING TO ACCEPT UNFAIR CHALLENGES. The amount of people who claim to be competitive yet lose their minds the second they can blame someone else for their performance is astounding. You see good players climb out of lower ranks all the time for the sake of fun content all the time yet their half the time their viewers don't make the connection that if they really wanted, they could work towards the same result. There is no plug and play way to be good at anything for a prolonged period of time, it's no different than other parts of life.
rank resets messes up the entire ladder, we see this every single rank reset. you only see those good players climb when there isn't a rank reset, when there is they don't climb even if you put them in Gold. in diamond ive gone 44-6 this season and only went from diamond 4 to diamond 2, tell me how that makes sense? if the matches im being added to are easy and therefore worth less to a rank change when i win- then why isn't the matchmaker seeing how many easy games im having and how many games overall im winning and give me more fair matches and harder matches that are worth more rank change? the system is completely fcked right now you can go an unlimited number of matches with a brand new player in placements in every game still - the matchmaker still doesn't account for this and alter your next game based on it. rank resets are just bs that make bad players feel good
I often complain about matchmaking, but people dont realize that when i do its me complaining about my skill, they always assume im blaming teammates, also, i dont like unfair challenges when its literally walk out spawn doors and die in like ten seconds. Impossible to improve in that scenario, at least for me.
if you’re trying to point to content creators who solo climb from bronze to diamond+ as a reason more casuals should be doing it, you are extremely wrong. there is nothing wrong with ppl complaining about the difficulties of climbing. a lot of these ppl are ppl who are probably actually good at the game, but don’t have the time to grind it for 40 hours a week like content creators
@@clarkkent1616 That's called having priorities, if you can't invest time in a hobby that doesn't make you entitled to anything. There's people from all kinds of circumstances playing these games including kids, if they have the ability to put more time into getting good at the game than you, they shouldn't be held back just because you can't. Overwatch came out when I was 21 and still living at home, I put time into it and got good at the game. I'm 29 now with a girlfriend and have to put a lot of hours into the business I own. I can't play the game as much anymore so therefore I'm not at the rank I used to be. I could sacrifice time to get better but it isn't always possible. It's called being an adult.
8:28 you see this in quick play all the time, some shmuck pops his ult after the point has already been capped with like 2 enemies alive and the entire team follows suit. It's bad enough that they will do it at a time where there is nothing to be gained, then the herd mentality just goes and makes it worse.
Answer to first question: Cree, widow, torb, reaper, tracer, sombra but it truely depends on your play style and what dps type you’re best with. For me I pick cree when I need to step up and do everything because he has the HS damage to win every duel, the cc to stop every annoying hero and the small amount of mobility needed to outplay everyone else. Find that character for yourself and you’ll do fine
Thank you so much for the last question. I really be doing so much in the game as a support to help and when I don’t heal bot they complain but if they are not doing anything the healing means nothing. I provide openings and opportunities for them and they either don’t take advantage or don’t listen. Too scared or too aggressive! It is super annoying!
the final post. Absolutely don't scoreboard sally, terrible idea really, just ends up tilting everyone involved. However, what the stats do show, tangible amount of actions/shots, etc, that landed. Everyone knows that widow's damage will be low, and elims "should" be high, but if she has say, 1k damage and everyone else is at 6k damage, then there is a problem of not hitting shots. regardless of how many kills you have. because at that point, damage can be viewed as pressure. bastion shredding a tank for a bunch of damage, but not killing them becuase they dumped all their cooldowns, does not provide you an elim, but it shows that you shredded them for a moment, and dumped a huge amount of pressure. Statistics are not the end all be all to understand how well you, or someone else is performing. But, there are some general averages that, if not being met, can indicate a larger issue. For example, if you are against a rein, and your bastion has less damage then your tracer, or even sombra, that could mean, your tracer/sombra is god teir, but more likely it means your bastion isnt hitting the right shots and using cooldowns properly (of course this is dependent on if they are alive similarly to the rest of your team, obviously getting early picked in a fight would not provide any damage output).
That “mid gold” elo explanation is still my mid-high plat games; I have a Top500 support friend who still has the mechanical aim for DPS, but whenever he plays DPS, my supports never seem to pay attention to him. He’s constantly mentioning he’s sitting behind cover and staring at his supports to heal him. He would even use the “Need Healing” ping and they wouldn’t even turn around. He would spam it so they can notice and they go, “please don’t spam, it’s annoying” - but he has to… because you won’t look around for your DPS and will continuously heal the tank that’s full HP and has all his cooldowns… Even I (a Diamond tank) started to play more passively so he can get healed instead of me… still the same result. They would just DPS because I’m not in need of any healing. It’s getting ridiculous. I feel like the ultimate rank being added made the economy of the rank system go bizarre or something
Oh god I felt this in my soul. Just the other day I was critical health standing right next to my Ana and Kiri so I pinged for them to heal me. Nope. They didn't even see me right next to them. It genuinely made me laugh, so I pinged them like 5 more times, nothing, had to go and get a health pack instead. This wasn't even during a team fight!
On the last point. It’s okay to not have the same numbers as the other supports in the game. Especially if you’re pressuring the other team or securing kills, But if you get to a situation where you have 2/3 or less of the heals of the rest of the supports in the lobby and your team is losing, then you need to heal more, Nothing is more infuriating on tank or dps than trying to play cover, still dying on cooldown and then seeing your Lucio with 2k healing and no appreciable damage or elims, while all the other supports had 8k
lucio's usually gonna have way lower heals than other supports if he's playing well because he should focus on speed, and that doesn't show up on the leaderboard 90% of the time speed is more likely to save you by letting you get around a corner than the insanely slow health trickle of heal aura, plus if you're dying on cooldown while playing around a corner that means you don't know when to stop peeking either way you should stop being a leaderboard andy and focus on your own gameplay if you actually wanna get better and climb
For the guy playing at the lower elo: This is the musical equivocal of playing at a fast tempo then moving to slower tempos. You will find that when youre able to play at a faster tempo normally playing slow is PAINFULLY difficult and you will rush notes etc.. Also, stop expecting anything from anyone, you tilt yourself cause you have a mental expectation of what "should" happen and as a result arent adapting to what IS happening. Hanzo shouldnt be in the middle of your team 1v5, but you should have the awareness to notice when someone is out of position and punish them for that, thats how you get out of those elos.
When playing in low ranks play like the low ranks. 😭 Holding onto an ult forever waiting for an opportunity that never comes will probably be worse off than just busting your ults. Cause you can expect coordination at that level yet.
As a plat player who occasionally plays widow (I occasionally play every hero), I do tend to stick in one spot for a while but it’s usually map and situation dependent. I mostly stick to the high ground on Dorado but where exactly I change it up a bit. Unless they have no dive, range, or competition- which I have seen- in which case I may stick to a single spot until I see some sort of counter come out. I was playing Ashe in qp on that map yesterday and found that it was even easier than playing widow since knock back got buffed against Winston. Almost held first point but eventually things fell apart before we picked it back up and won at third point.
I've seen the zarya grav get eaten by the bubble. I'm going to have to look if I can still replay that session to verify, but I 100% believe that does happen.
I've done the headset backwards thing - i also have a sound boost app that helps volume during movies but basically makes it mono and messes up sound positioning. Both I notice immediately and fix asap.
Statics and statistics are two completely different things. Statics is a physics thing that has to do with industrial engineering. Statics is the calculations of stress in bridges.
Or generally, it's the study of forces involved in stationary things (like chairs, buildings, bridges, etc). As opposed to dynamics (like wheels, engines, cars, etc).
I've put my headset on backward when really tired too... it was horrible, turning the wrong way to shoot every time... pretty easy to figure out something is wrong after less than a round though !
For the high to low elo, took me a bit to realize but just.... decide to carry the game. Pretty much ignore what everyone is doing, focus on yourself, and just carry. Gets you to plat easy, then maybe switch it up. Also, yes. Headset backwards. My headset bugged out (it has spatial sound) and turned my audio around. I never want to do that again.
Depends - can you 1-shot? Can anyone on your team 1-shot? If so, then destroying the shield is worth it if it could be blocking any shots. A single headshot from Widow is worth more than a clip from Soldier to destroy the shield as it's far more likely Widow will be taking a backline healer with that shot while Soldier would be far less likely to hit enough shots at that distance in one clip.
That Zarya Bubble guy felt relatable to me. My dad plays OW and believes some of the most BS stuff. I've heard so many random things he 100% thinks is real. He told me once that D.Va's Defense Matrix reflects damage. I think he thought Bastion's Artillery could be blocked by shields. He had some weird theories about Sombra's abilities. I kept asking were he heard these things and he swears he saw them happen. I'd spin up a custom game just to prove him wrong. This guy has been playing since early OW1 and has several times more hours in the game than me, but somehow has so much incorrect info. How does that even happen?
In Apex when everyone gets reset back to gold from diamond you can get away with so much shit. Do exactly what that Hanzo was doing, just play hyper aggressive because you know the enemy team is probably just as clueless and unaware as your team is
See, the whole attention thing karq mentioned is great and all. I alwayd try to split attention, but people in low diamond lobbies just see you as "poking at a distance" with a close range character. I hear this all the time when i play reaper or tracer. Even if im getting the enemy team to turn back every 3 seconds because of the scary reaper 30 meters away. Its either i go in at a bad time to please my team, or i get flamed for not doing enough damage, even though my elims are strong. Id say im pretty efficient at damaging enemies so i dont end up dumping 1k damage just to kill someone. And to top it off, i com. Like every game, so for them to not know when is a good time to do stuff as a team is just bs to me because i literally tell my team if im going to make any meaningful plays like teleporting onto someone, or trying for a early fight stick. I swear people just tunnel vision.
So, first - look at your final blows, not elims. Especially as a hitscan character. Because elims just mean you tagged something that died. But if you are pulling attention/pressure, you should see the effect on your teammates' numbers when they take advantage of the distraction. As in, you distract the Ana and then Hanzo 1-shots the Ana not paying attention to him any more. This would be easier to see in the replay but you should be effectively buffing your teammates' stats and that effect should be visible on the scoreboard in short increments of time. After a whole match, you should see a significant boost to your teammates' kill ratio if you're drawing attention successfully.
I’m a soldier main and as far as the ult thing goes if I see a Juno ult or mabey even a window I like having it to combo with my visor so I usually do pop unless there is literally only like two people left what the rest of the team does really doesn’t matter to me I’m looking for a good combo with my visor
Do not shoot shields when you’re hiding. Flanking. If it’ll mean your death. Don’t. Don’t shoot it as a support with a loud weapon like LW when nothing is going on too, you draw so much attention to yourself. He is great at doing it but his weapon is loud AF. I rely on sound like 80% of everything. Recently they screwed up voicelines. Many characters take damage or die and don’t make a sound or they ult and die and they don’t go ARGH anymore.
Seems to me in plat shooting shields can often be very useful, but at the highest ranks it seems people almlst never do it. Is it just that wasting will be so much more punished in GM or is it a waste of time in plat as well?
If its ram shield and my team isnt near or even if so i wouldnt shoot their shield. Takes too long and i dont think even if you destroy it it would be on a higher CD.
I always find overwatch players so weird, just because they treat everything in a vacuum with number's, never accounting for missed shots, being displaced, etc etc. Especially when the differences seem so small.
u should swap to ana or bap, bap has more healing potential while also having immo and a more reliable dps at safer distances, and ana secures kills with nade way better. At least, thats my picks if you are solo playing
They should make the PvE stuff into a moba mode for OW2. Winton telsa cannon should do 69 dmg not 70, because the year 1969 is the year we went to moon.
Zarya bubbles if she's last alive for sure or if she's full energy. In scenario 1: -you want to kill the enemy tank and a bubble shouldn't delay you. In scenario 2: -healers can't heal through a fully charged-up Zarya (esp if she's hitting more than one char) so your options are run (if you're fast enough) or kill her.
Nah I get what they mean. There is a point where yeah. You are the issue as in you could just kill everyone else. But what the level you think you are compared to the levels your teammates are? Because a master would have no issues winning every game in a lobby of bronze. But if you think you are gold in a lobby of low silver. The skill difference is not enouth. You either just hit more shots. But you win 1v1 all the times. Doesn't mean you can chain them, nor that the rest of your team take advantage of it. Like the rank still need to push forward with one less enemimy. And the support need to heal you so you can quickly go kill someone else. Or you get what going on better than others. And you supposedly make better decisions. So yes some heroes are good overwhole. But some can exacerbate good positioning and good skill. If they take advantage from both. Like tracer, widow, reaper. Then you can win more easly. All of tjoses carry, because they all have self heal or way to get out or away from damage. High one shot or one clip potential, all can ignore the tank. All destroy healers. 1v1 is their speciality, and once you found alone targets, they have the tools to engage. At equal levek they loose that advantage. Because they only get an advantage in a 1v1 scenario where you get the engage. There are less moments and ways to single out people. And other character have utility that was useless to carry teammates that didn't knew how to use it at your level. But at equal level they get used. Idk what else I can say.
@@captainphoton1693 Yeah, especially between close tiers (silver 2 - gold 4 or something), you're not going to carry as a gold 4 in a silver 2 match. You're maybe 2% better which means you still lose any 2 v 1 and win 1 v 1's at maybe 60-40 rate. But, unless you're the tank, that's not going to carry. Only a 60-40 1 v 1 tank fight would be noticeable. Even as a sniper, that means you have 4 deaths to their 6. That's BARELY noticeable.
Nah. Mercy players are victims of their dps. Tanks are victims of their supports. They don't need to be crazy good but they do need to be passable for you to actually get the game in your favour
8:30 I definitely have a phobia of being the first person to ult because if I play someone like kiri, juno or ram I feel that if I ult first I know everyone else will ult and then we will lose because our entire team ults when they shouldn't. It is a little less bad on ram because if I ult I tend to be initiating a big fight and am going all in, but sometimes all a fight needs to win is a kitsune rush or orbital ray, not all 5. I also tend to just wait for the enemy team to use their ults and then counter ult rather than being the initiator 90% of the time unless I am on tank. Like if the enemy team kiri or juno ult I will ult if I am either kiri or juno.
1st guy just needs to take a break. If you cant make an impact with your mains it means the level of play is too high for you. Either he lucked out on a higher rank than he should be, or his mental is off from playing too much. 2 weeks off is what the doctor would prescribe
My general rule of thumb is that if you are doing more damage than healing then you are not healing enough as a support. So the example of 8k healing with 13k damage seems like a very clear case of bad support. The only exception that I see to this often is when your team is steam rolling the other team - only then is it acceptable to hang up your heals and just have fun with damage.
Yeah, 13k dmg and 8k heals is fine in the following scenario: -no one died on your team. Otherwise, it's a bit low on the healing side as almost inevitably, the person who died would've done more dmg than you did. And 4 v 5 is a losing proposition most of the time so saving even a mediocre 5th is better than doing damage.
Bruh i be ARGUING with my team when im sombra. They get mad when im not getting picks and love to talk about the dmg. I tell them that im fighting TWO-THREE people, most of the time both healers and/or dps). I tell them im distracting healers or taking pressure off them by disrupting their comp. They believe Sombra supposed to be this insane dmg dealing assasin. Sombra punishes out of position heroes, but in no way, shape, or form can she 1v2 anything! I also changed my play style when being hard countered and play a mid-game behind the tank and a dps.
Sombra is very good at assassinating squishies but it depends who you were playing her against. If you're playing Sombra into Mei/Brig and just distracting them, that's about all you're going to do. If you're playing against widow and only distracting her, that's insufficient. Sombra should murder her with a fair degree of reliability unless you're playing against some god-like widow that can 180 scope headshot you at 3 foot range.
Wait.... diamond is top 10%? Didn't realize I was that high up. Would masters be top 5%? I have no idea how the distribution is nowadays since it keeps shifting.
Yeah the distribution changes a little over the years, but that's generally a good rubric. If you use the old SR system and peg the centre of the bell curve to around 2250 (Gold 3 now) and 0/4500 to the very edges of the tails, you have a good sense of where everyone else falls.
i think its harder to tell because high elo players are more likely to talk about their rank publicly, but like >80% of the playerbase is in the metal ranks

Should I just quit comp cause honestly qp is way more fair since I don’t get sh+t stomped by Smurf stacks
So is it more likely that most of the enemies you are facing are smurfs or you're not as good as you seem to think? Because the only common denominator in your teams always losing is that they have you. It kinda sounds like you're not open to improving cause you're making these absurd excuses.
@@cairax23listen I know it sounds like I make excuses on why I’m not winning but every game literally every game I play when hey don’t have Smurfs I win On console it’s pretty easy to see who is smurfing and the skill desperate between my real diamonds and the gm Smurfs is way too high it’s imo cheating that’s like telling a nba player to compete in a collage tournament they will dominate and no one can compete

I conditioned myself to react to a left noise by looking right so much that when it broke and i had a new pair with a more obvious direction i felt soooo weird and couldn't understand why. It took me weeks to learn everything again and play decently
just curious what rank you were playing in
everyone has something odd like that, but dam that is quite silly my guy lol
I remember when my right headphone went out and I didn’t notice for a week. I was wondering why I wasn’t hearing certain things lol
IS. WRONG!@!!"
There's one word that can perfectly describe you. . . but there's no need to be toxic.
If The bubble los ate the beat in a comp game I was in I would be speechless.
If you're willing, you should post the clip on TH-cam
@@ARClegend Trust me everyone was confused. I was dead already but from my death screen I saw it and I instantly went to the replay afterwards.
@@ARClegend I know the Zarya bubble has los but I've never seen Lucio not get his own Sound Barrier unless it was canceled, but you can see it clearly finish.
I posted it btw
That's hilarious, so technically the source of where beat checks LOS was inside the bubble and Lucio and everyone else was outside.
@@EvanOfTheDarkness if you just wanna click shit without using any brain why not just play osu or something
There is no plug and play way to be good at anything for a prolonged period of time, it's no different than other parts of life.
rank resets messes up the entire ladder, we see this every single rank reset.
you only see those good players climb when there isn't a rank reset, when there is they don't climb even if you put them in Gold.
in diamond ive gone 44-6 this season and only went from diamond 4 to diamond 2, tell me how that makes sense?
if the matches im being added to are easy and therefore worth less to a rank change when i win- then why isn't the matchmaker seeing how many easy games im having and how many games overall im winning and give me more fair matches and harder matches that are worth more rank change?
the system is completely fcked right now
you can go an unlimited number of matches with a brand new player in placements in every game still - the matchmaker still doesn't account for this and alter your next game based on it.
rank resets are just bs that make bad players feel good
I often complain about matchmaking, but people dont realize that when i do its me complaining about my skill, they always assume im blaming teammates, also, i dont like unfair challenges when its literally walk out spawn doors and die in like ten seconds.
For me it's just really fun to nano someone who just ulted
i sometimes nano an ult like orisa to secure kills since its iffy it kills at all
Reaper, Doom and Juno has such a high carry potential but you have to master them truly.
ig trying to maths with a guy who says "I can 1v3 if I have someone with me" was a lost cause
Yeah, that does seem like some basic truths are missing.
what is that noise you made at 0:56? im cracking up it caught me so off guard
same i had to go back like what? 😂
It was like a G-man inhale.
It was a hidden illuminati message for "Buff Moira."
Probably salivating too much ? Happens to me from time to time
It's called breathing near a high quality mic, that's why you can hear it at 4K lmao
He would spam it so they can notice and they go, “please don’t spam, it’s annoying” - but he has to… because you won’t look around for your DPS and will continuously heal the tank that’s full HP and has all his cooldowns…
Even I (a Diamond tank) started to play more passively so he can get healed instead of me… still the same result. They would just DPS because I’m not in need of any healing. It’s getting ridiculous.
I feel like the ultimate rank being added made the economy of the rank system go bizarre or something
Anything under high masters just spam the tank. Play heros that don't need resources till higher elo
I didn't know bubble blocks transcendence Los. This was very helpful!
On the last point. It’s okay to not have the same numbers as the other supports in the game. Especially if you’re pressuring the other team or securing kills, But if you get to a situation where you have 2/3 or less of the heals of the rest of the supports in the lobby and your team is losing, then you need to heal more,
Nothing is more infuriating on tank or dps than trying to play cover, still dying on cooldown and then seeing your Lucio with 2k healing and no appreciable damage or elims, while all the other supports had 8k
lucio's usually gonna have way lower heals than other supports if he's playing well because he should focus on speed, and that doesn't show up on the leaderboard
90% of the time speed is more likely to save you by letting you get around a corner than the insanely slow health trickle of heal aura, plus if you're dying on cooldown while playing around a corner that means you don't know when to stop peeking
either way you should stop being a leaderboard andy and focus on your own gameplay if you actually wanna get better and climb
As opposed to dynamics (like wheels, engines, cars, etc).
i could 1v3... if i had an extra dps... that says a lot about that winston
It’s unreal people don’t think in terms of general numbers including cooldowns…. I also recall Blizz saying median skill was like Plat 2…
I think Ashe got some crazy carry potential too if played correctly. Just tricky to play against a good tracer
I think it depends on the shield. Melting Rein shield can be good in some situations but shooting a Ram shield is a waste of time.
I like playing Wifeleaver because sometimes all of my abilities just cancel all of your ultimates :)
Do exactly what that Hanzo was doing, just play hyper aggressive because you know the enemy team is probably just as clueless and unaware as your team is
thanks for the flashbang at the beginning lol
Holy shit diamond is top 10 percent??? That makes me feel a lot better about being plat 1-2 in all roles
Yeah, people have a very skewed perception of where mid/high is. Gold is mid, Diamond is high and master's is extremely high.
Ngl i like the sweater karq has on i need that one
He said some people have been bronze their whole life lmfao 😂😂😂
He's definitely right.
Nah he should do -25 million damage because that's when apes first appeared
You say to definitely shoot shields, do you also mean Zarya bubbles as well?
Zarya bubbles if she's last alive for sure or if she's full energy.
In scenario 1:
-you want to kill the enemy tank and a bubble shouldn't delay you.
In scenario 2:
-healers can't heal through a fully charged-up Zarya (esp if she's hitting more than one char) so your options are run (if you're fast enough) or kill her.
for the first one, honestly if you arent swaying the match on ANY character thats a you issue not a hero issue
Why is it that almost all the people asking these questions use english in a way that makes them appear 8 years old?
My general rule of thumb is that if you are doing more damage than healing then you are not healing enough as a support. So the example of 8k healing with 13k damage seems like a very clear case of bad support. The only exception that I see to this often is when your team is steam rolling the other team - only then is it acceptable to hang up your heals and just have fun with damage.
Yeah, 13k dmg and 8k heals is fine in the following scenario:
-no one died on your team.
Solid humble brag bro
Yeah the distribution changes a little over the years, but that's generally a good rubric. If you use the old SR system and peg the centre of the bell curve to around 2250 (Gold 3 now) and 0/4500 to the very edges of the tails, you have a good sense of where everyone else falls.
i think its harder to tell because high elo players are more likely to talk about their rank publicly, but like >80% of the playerbase is in the metal ranks
i find that to be cap, im high plat/mid diamond and im literally middle of the pack mediocre i swear
Master's is closer to top 3%.
Silver in 30hrs is borderline not believable. Good shit!

He says about 70% of the population.
I carried a game with reaper ending with 44-3 while my other dps had 5-8. So I’d say reaper has a ton of carry potential
Unless you do that 6/10 games, that's not carry potential, that's luck. Everyone has games where they are god-like.

Who cares. It’s just a game. In ten years you’ll wish you had all that time back anyway. Just play if you’re good enough to climb you will.
So is it more likely that most of the enemies you are facing are smurfs or you're not as good as you seem to think? Because the only common denominator in your teams always losing is that they have you. It kinda sounds like you're not open to improving cause you're making these absurd excuses.
