Bro, this is such a unique approach to building biceps! Love the insight on straight-arm strength and how gymnasts build those insane arms without traditional curls. I’m definitely going to give these exercises a shot, especially the Maltese Dumbbell Press and the Inverted Cross Raise. Thanks for breaking it down with the science behind it too! 💪🔥 Can't wait to see the gains from these moves.
please do another video on Thighs and Hamstrings!!! These muscles often fall into weakest muscle group in most people. Also most of us sit a lot these days, it leads to back pain, bad posture, and many more
I recently got gymnastic rings ; and was incorporating Austrian rows, which are great for getting jacked teres major x minor if ye flare out elbows (and lats if you keep elbows tight). BUT trying to do it w/ false grip could NOT. Felt a lot more BI's and whole upper body engaging w/ false grip !!! So thanks for sharing x further enforcing straight arms.
You don't have to if all you care about is biceps. But I do it like that because protracting shoulders can help activate the serratus which is useful for learning a real planche or maltese
Just watch the video later. No need to announce future intentions. Doing so relieves your future self of responsibility as your present self is taking that responsibility now. Achieve in private. And reap your rewards in public.
Long stretch isometrics are awkward for the triceps. Most isometrics for the triceps are in shortened position But doing exercises like overhead or ring tricep extensions will still work wonders for stretch related growth even though they are dynamics
beginners can just do a standing forward lean with the rings supinated. if that's too easy, do a dip on rings with a hold at the bottom and rings turned outward.
Hey Tao, watch your posture during the exercises that’s almost as important as the isometric itself, gymnast have body lockups postures to enhance muscle activation and recruitment this is part of the technique, we gym bros have been doing it wrong for a long time, I have been in the path of technical proficiency, precision in posture technique is essential.
Something that is missing in this video is the tendons and articulations training, this type of training is not about reps is more about time under tension and perfect technique, shit I will have to upload to show this people needs help on this.
I do once a week 5*5 archer push ups on paralletes. okay it's 4*5 + 1 set flys as a finisher at the end, but I am an advanced level since I've been doing body weight training for 4-5 years now. I can do front lever, hspu, etc... (and I am way beyond 30....) But yeah... straight arm exercises for biceps are on a different level.... I never felt anything like that when I was lifting weights. And don't forget the pelican curls on rings ;)
So is this program basically designed function as supplemental volume? Like let’s say I was doing WeiCal or Ninja Aesthetics. Would I just add in 1 or 2 of the Gymnasty workouts at the end of an upper body day?
bro upload frequently we need you 🦍

For #2 I feel more engagement initiating the movement at 4 or 5 o'clock versus starting the movement at 3 o'clock.

Do you know any long stretch isometric tricep exercises?

That's a good way to introduce some straight arm work too
