Fun fact. In the comics central city is the safest place on earth because flash is the one protecting it. There's a comic where villains talk about cities of heroes and they all agreed to avoid central city because of the flash. Ill defend Barry in episode one, he was new to his powers, and not used to actually facing bad guys himself, he was a CSI. He probably just didn't have the mindset at the time to run down the bad guy, nor the experience with his powers to think of them it such a situation. After that though, it really makes no sense.
Every one second of Real time that passes, Barry gets almost 2 minutes to think (115 seconds assuming he can run 20mph without super speed which is generous). There is no excuse.
Even if u give him heavy benefit of the doubt and say his ultra fast reaction times wouldn't be enough to clear his head, the smoke guy literally just teleported out of the car before the window glass even broke. That entire scene was poorly done.
Here's the thing, Every human being (except Horror protagonist and flat-earthers) have some level of common sense, Barry's mind should've attacked Martin when the fog started to appear
Honestly, I could accept Barry constantly stopping to talk to his enemies, since he is so fast it shouldn't matter. Why not chat for a bit? It's not like they can do anything to him... the problem is that after the talk he just lets them attack him. Comparing it to a tun based RPG is a very good analogy to what this series feels like.
Or even better he could just relocate them to star labs and talk to them there. It would feel much more like interrogation and much less meeting with an old friend
There was the animated series of the justice league, I never watched it but I've seen clips from it and in one of them Barry tries to and succeeded in talking to a criminal that just needed to take his medicine or something. I think the talking could be totally justified if they made Barry's character try to convince them or something. Idk
@@jorge2555 Barry is normally pretty friendly and tries to help everyone (including helping talk down criminals if he can) that is true to cannon the issue is that 9 times out of 10 the writers don't know how to make anything interesting so he'll dodge a bullet touching his goddamn skin but then get hit by a punch, arrow, lightning, fire, or whatever other bs the writers feel are apparently fast enough to not only catch him off guard but also hit him before he can react to it. Edit: also would like to point out in many universes the rouge gallery for the flash actually carries a pretty large amount of respect for the flash to such a point that many try to avoid killing as a whole both of innocents and of other speedsters. Course in many newer works this is completely ignored as it both lowers the stakes and makes them fighting the flash and doing crimes as whole rather redundant, but there are still quite a few instances of the flash either working with his rouge gallery if one of them goes to far or them going out of their way not to kill him.
Not every season. When he lost his emotions in the episode "Think Fast", he used his brain. He ended up getting super thinking and just because he thought faster, he became a way better hero. But he gave it up because Iris was stupid as always.

Flash could be basically a god if he didn’t fuck around most of the time.
@@Chadius_Thundercock Just change the plot to make it more logical and interesting. Like for example when it comes to his fights with captain cold the writers could have made it so flash was losing his speed/energy before that so he's better of a match to him, like for example by reverse flash stealing his speed in secret by sneaking in some sort of device in his suit (pretty sure something similar happened in season 2), flash needing food because of his super metabolism etc. They also could have made it so captain cold's gun doesn't just slow flash down when it hits him but that it slows him down even if he's close to it. With the guy who could clone himself the writers could have made it so he had multiple clones of him throughout the city doing crime shit and a lot of them so it's more challenging for the flash, and with the toxic gas guy maybe make it so the exact moment before he is hit (even at super speed) his reflexes make him turn into that green gas again and so on.

More like 7 useless seasons of a show in actuality should never be made. If the Flash's power is, so OP, why in the world do the writers choose to make Barry look like an absolute imbecile, not beating his enemies in less than 5 minutes but takes an entire episode of 30 minutes or three to win? It makes you want to apply a hammer to your head as a sedative to get away from watching something so mind-numbingly stupid. Yet this is probably not just the Flash, but all superhero shows done by the CW. Where they had the power to end the threat in 5 minutes or less but choose to waste everyone's time, beating the person with methods they should have employed in the first encounter.
Captain Cold's typical approach in the comics isn't to immediately shoot Flash directly, it's to freeze over the environment so that Flash's speed works against him due to the reduced friction. Aided even further by his team ups with his sister Golden Glider who is a specialist in moving over ICE!
And how they gave an actual challenge or problem to the Flash without making them be as fast as him, people who while weaker, can cleverly use their powers, resources, and the environment together to pose a legitimate problem to The Flash, not CW's artificial fuckery.

I feel like CW could’ve made gold if they made the flash a csi-centric show, with Barry having to solve crime scenes with his CSI skills, then dispatch the culprit as flash. Having the show be about flash solving crimes that occurred after the window of saving them has already closed makes more sense than him going to scenes of the crime as they’re being committed and doing nothing in return. Most episodes should be mental challenges to the hero, not physical. The only time challenges should become physical is when there’s enemies that can reasonably counter the flash’s powers. CW seems to forget that flash is Barry Allen, crime scene investigator first, and flash second. It’s why Batman values his work.
"don't care, create a better scenario where he does it" that's just so unbelievably true, incredible how the writers just couldn't get to that conclusion

Speedsters are OP AF. This is a fact. If you want to write stories about them doing anything other than being awesomely OP, you need to either handicap them (emotionally, physically, with consequences, price for the power, whatever) or write antagonists that have equivalent powers, nullifying powers, or are so damn invulnerable that it causes a stalemate. Alternatively, do a little of both; the speedster can be vulnerable or compromised in some way and also have an antagonist that he doesn't want to fight or is ambivalent about fighting or who holds something over him or that can manipulate him competently. Something. Anything. No, anything *other* than making the speedster too stupid and incompetent to live.
Hmmm... What about this? The speedster in question knows how fucking OP he is and doesn't care enough about people aside from his close ones, he just does the hero thing for fun. He just knows he would end the fight and save the civilians on a blink, so he thinks "Meh... It wouldn't be that fun for me" (or the audience, if you wanna break the 4th wall) and you have him for example: playing a bit, or even letting the criminals get away a little or letting them have the guns 5 minutes more on purpose before knocking them out. that was actualy funny and pretty on point yes, and not only for this show but for like at least half of the series, movies that exist, things happen or are let it happened because plots need it and thats it, there is no real and legit reasons why this could happen. But to be fair there is a lots of things where plot is ok, and in the flash ok there are clearly a lots of inconsistant things but, with speed powers anyway its just impossible to create plausible things for most situation. Doesnt mean it can be writtent better or at least in a more entertaining way but speed power is so strong that it can honestly just instant stop pretty much 90% of any situation that could happen. Only some personne have power that can have a sens in fight with a speedsters, obviously superman because he is fast but wayyyyy more strong, so he could just stand still and let flash break on him lol. Killerfrost actualy got a really strong power and in the serie they actualy shown how it works kinda, the fact taht her freezing ability is so strong that she can slow down mollecule, so actualy she can have a control over flash because she can slowdown his speed, we nearly could say at some point that they could be some king of opposite force, like one exite mollecules while other slow them. The biggest plot holes in the show is that they say “Barry can only run at 200 mph but also shows him casually dodging bullets going at least 1,300 mph while saving other people too”
I just realized how easy it would've been to make Captain Cold an actually threatening villain worthy of the kind of hype they give him in the show: have him be a trap master. Instead of just acting like his gun that shoots ice is somehow so much more dangerous than a gun that shoots bullets, they could have his gun have a lot more functions. Like, say, creating an aura of cold that slows down the Flash simply by entering it. Have him be an actually clever trapmaster who beats Flash by using his brain and creative strategies.
The multiplier guy could have been such an interesting enemy, and an actually good villain. Have him make clones before doing whatever he wants to do, rob banks or kill civvies, and then he could go all over the city, or even to a different city, and do things there. Imagine the flash having to run between cities to stop a villain, that'd be an actually good use of his powers, challenge him, and be really cool to watch.

I'm a big fan of The Flash's first few Seasons, and I was in the camp that Season 1 was awesome. I really liked Barry's personal story arc and his relationship with Thawne. I really love the scene in the finale when his future self motions for him not to save his mom, and against his wishes, he listens. No words were spoken, but the scene was enough for me to really feel something. Stuff like that is why I like Season 1. While this video didn't make me like it any less, I do agree with pretty much everything here. I think it's impossible to make a show about a Speedster without it either having an insane budget, or being an animation. And of course, good writing really comes into play. So I can excuse these for the first few seasons. But later on, especially Season 4+, I no longer can. It doesn't have the writing the previous ones did to make up for the absolutely baffling bullshit they pull to make enemies seem like a bigger threat than they really are. And it gets more and more frustrating as time goes on. But this video was solid. You've earned my sub. A lot of great editing in here, and solid points being made. Agreed and even people with super durability aren’t going to be able to withstand him going Mach20, and punching them. It might break every bone in his arm, but he can heal from that.
I would ague every time he punches something at super speed the bones in his arm should splinter. “Basically” having super strength and actually having it are not the same, nothing about the flashes powers gives him super durability. Him punching someone at the speed of light would be like you punching someone at the speed of light. Both your fist and whatever you punched would basically explode. As for any time the flash moves someone at super speeds, they don’t have super speed, and should realistically have their neck snapped the second flash grabs them and runs away. Just the sheer speed at which they are accelerated would cause their internal organs to crash into their skeleton and turn to mush (aka whiplash times whatever the speed of light is)
having an entity rendering distance has it's pros: you can't get attacked by anything that isn't a meter of distance of you, the other thing is that you can't open containers (fun fact: chests and shulkers are entities, along with moving pistons and projectiles) the other is that you can see any living or moving thing.
Possible villains that might actually work: A riddler type guy that never shows himself and leaves bombs and traps around the city that require both brain and speed to disarm. They came so close. The lady that he can't touch without exploding, except he actually can't touch her without fucking exploding, and has to find a way to trap her. Snart but with enhanced reflexes so he can actually realistically have a chance to hit the flash, and ice traps that barry won't see as he runs. An invisible villain. Not so much someone he fights, as they are a harmless thief that he has trouble catching. Mean army man but he uses government science to turn himself into a temporary speedster. This technology would in turn periodically reappear throughout the series as a kind of antagonistic macguffin. A villain that can slow time, rendering the flash's speed useless and requiring him to rely on either his brain or just straight fist fighting.
Slowing time is a thing that makes no sense whatsoever tho. If youthink about it, it's about an interval, say, 5 seconds, take something like 10 seconds to happen. But if you think about it, that's just a change of time referential, as the moment is still passing, "slowing it" makes no sense (I know we're talking fiction here, but still, even the Speed Force takes some physics into account xD). Time is that thing that just makes no sense being manipulated in that sense, as it is just a flux that you can't really mess up with, only you can register moments with different units
@@Phoenax Fire Force uses physics to try and explain the crazy shit they do. Sho for example, has the ability to stop the thermal expansion of the universe within a certain area of himself, allowing him to slow time since he’s reducing the thermal, and thus kinetic energy of everything around him. That’s the most logical explanation of time stopping I’ve ever seen really. Since what Sho can do is “technically” possible irl. Very very hard and very costly and far beyond our capabilities for maybe a couple thousand years. But possible.
@@CallMeSaltyScorpion Well yeah, but, you'd just be slowing like, the universe, so, ofc it feels slower, but, even if you speed or slow things close to you, a second is a second, it's not some physical or spiritual or whatever is the nomenclature for it, if it exists, that changes cause of energy. It's not something that's imaginable controllable. For example, take one moment in time, and take another sometime after: time that passes between those moments, any way you look at it, the interval will always be, say, 5 seconds, cause it's something you cannot stretch out. 5 seconds are 5 seconds. It's that thing that is immutable (or at least feels that way). Now, it could make sense to slow something so much to the point that 5 seconds, in their referential, would be like 5 years to us. But then again, the difference there would just be the "relative time", cause the moment "intrinsic (idrk the word for it) size" wouldn't change. Kinda like how a Basket ball looks small to us but enormous to an ant. I don't know if I made sense, it's kinda hard to try and explain my point of view about something as complex xD
Other things to counter Flash could be : A smoke screened area. Literal silent hill Minecraft render distance tiny. Works best in a field with lots of boulders and twists and turns. A slippery or sticky fluid on an entire room. Anti-gravity trap that makes flash float. No ground = no run. Requires brain to get out Anti-speed equipment. A tool that gives the flash some latency and ping. Real life lag so he could have an excuse to his friends why he couldn't pick them up and relocate easily and why he trips, stumbles, and gets punched by normal speed punches and hits Black hole. A lot of problems in the show could maybe have been solved if they expanded on something the show touched on: barry having a really fast metabolism. They could've made it where the more he uses his super speed, the more hungry he gets, to the point where he could starve if he goes too fast
@@_stupidbro I remember watching the show and was like “cool a weakness”. They had an entire episode dedicated to it, but it’s never mentioned ever again.
I don't know why they didn't use it like they did in Young Justice with Kid Flash, whenever he used his powers a lot and didn't eat for a while he got so much weaker, it's an interesting weakness and it would makes him feel not fucking invincible
Yeah but then they couldn’t have him go fast all the time and his enemies would constantly get away because he’d have to take breaks all the time and it’d be really frustrating for the viewe- oh, never mind.
@Christian Stewart well with the time thing at least it makes sense because the speed force will try to stop him. But the fact that he can go so fast that time essentially stops around him with no repercussions other than him getting tired after using for while is pointless because he never ever uses it again. Why can’t he just use it in short bursts and catch any villain just like that? It’s just stupid.
That’s the problem with giving a character super speed. People think “oh he’s just a fast guy.” Speedsters are basically gods with the way they can attack before you can even make a thought

I think that’s the downside to making a tv show about a character like Flash. You can’t keep relying on something like a stamina limit to explain away why trouble prevails. He’s only really useable in movies (well that didn’t go too well) where that excuse might play into the immediate story. I get why CW/DC didn’t do a Batman show lmao…the excuses they’d have to come up with would be redundant to the character 😂
@@tobsonasanya4765 Dude.. I come back to rewatch the vid to see you still defending this show like 1-2 weeks later. Around 1k comments of you doing this shit-
I love how there's an entire episode dedicated to Barry's ability to break the sound barrier, yet he's consistently moving faster than the speed of light, and still lets his enemies get away lol
One crucial mistake you made: You assumed, that the writers start with the question "who is the bad guy and how do we catch him?" and then go from there. In reality they start with the question "how can we force as many _cool_ scenes and villains into one episode, without looking too desperate for approval?" and then go from there.
Back in my first year of college, I remember my seniors being super hyped about The Flash Season 3. These were people who usually didn't care about superhero stuff, so I thought, "This must be really good." I decided to give it a shot, but as soon as the villain with the freeze gun showed up, I was like, "Wait, The Flash is faster than a bullet-how are these regular dudes beating him with a freeze gun?" It made no sense to me. When I asked my seniors about it, they just said, "You can't expect realism in superhero shows." That answer didn’t sit right with me, so I dropped the show then and there. It's been years since, and honestly, I still feel like I made the right call.
@@evanf.4801 Indeed, and it would make some (note: not much) sense why he hits at normal speed. It does not explain why he doesn't dodge at super speed.
@@Username44555 superhuman/endurance is honestly a given when it comes to a lot of superheroes who have some sort of physical super power/ability that should have consequences to their own user. No speedster would be a speedster if they didn't have it. I mean. Just imagine it. The speedster runs max speed to punch a dude and then his arm (if not his whole body) is gone because he can't handle the own force generated by his own speed. Kinda silly, y'know?
I feel like an extremely easy way to resolve most inconsistencies would have been to make Barry's powers somewhat "burstier" in the show. For example, establish that every time he stops moving after using his powers, there is a short period of down time, just a couple of seconds, during which he is physically unable to move fast again. Additionally, the more he uses his speed in quick succession, the more of a toll it takes on his body until he stops to rest properly. That would essentially keep a lot of the show the same and allow time to exchange words with villains without it feeling forced (since Barry would have a logical reason to need to stop in place occasionally) while only requiring a little bit of rewriting to make his first attack fail and have the fight become more complicated from there, should he fail to apprehend someone fast enough. That way, he'll organically be forced to retreat and gather his strength every once in a while and think about what he did wrong the first time before coming back for a second round. It would also preserve the feeling of progress as with time and experience he learns to reduce the down time of his powers and occasionally creating that "wow!" moment where he runs faster and longer than ever before without stopping.
I loved this alternative. Setting up a "skill curve" for Flash to make active effort to keep his speed working up keeps it very flexible and is potentially very satisfying. There's only _one_ problem, and you already have mentioned it: _"Make the fight become more complicated from there"._ Yeah, that is... that is a _very_ difficult thing to do with a speedster character, nerfed or not.
I see people bringing up its hard to write a story with op super speed but its not. •Make a villain that’s not affected by flash super speed • make them unable for the flash to relocate, like someone made of fire, water, or something he cant grab on • make his no killing rule really stand out so we know why he holds back his punches and dont insta kill • only show him truly dominating fodder throw away villains like captain cold or any regular human • stop making him fight people who literally has no way of even seeing him move • make the villains use more hostage scenes where barry has to go around the city and save people • make the scale of villains bigger, these weak ass metas arent on the flash level, make him fight real aliens from the comics who actually pose a threat • stop with the 24 episodes seasons and shorten it down to 13 episodes, save that extra budget for better writing and cgi and up the fight scenes
Too bad that will never happen because it requires a lot of good writing and careful planning and since the writers of the CW are lazy and have no spark of creativity they would not be able to make those scenarios
that first one doesnt really make sense. super speed is a power that solely affects the user. they can use it to move people quickly or disarm them, but it still only affects the person using the speed. you cant make someone immune to something that doesnt affect them in the first place
"Make a villain that’s not affected by flash super speed" that isn't how speed works but I get what you mean and there is a villain like that. She is able to make the weight of what he is effecting with his speed (so things like his clothing or a person he is moving or even his own body) proportional to the speed he moves it at. Basically on a math level she is able to make W = mg into W = mv so suddenly the weight equation doesn't use a constant and isn't using acceleration. This situation forces him to only move in short bursts and requires more creative solutions.
Finally truth! I won’t lie, I watched this show and enjoyed it, but every time it pulled some bs like this I would be screaming internally and tell myself “don’t think too hard about it.” The most painful moments are when Barry gets hurt because the villain (or arrow) predicted where he would be, like this implies Barry saw the attack and then just willingly walked into it. It also annoys me when Barry gets hurt by sound-based attacks as though Barry can’t easily break the sound barrier in a footstep, which means he can move between the oscillating soundwaves; before you say “that might just be too far” they literally explain that he can vibrate fast enough to move through solid materials. Makes no sense
The worse thing the writers did in this show is tone down Cisco's jokes to the point of being non-existant. Probably because he was stealing the limelight from the Flash. He was the best character.
He basically is the most brilliant guy on earth. Want to make a tachyon based device? Cisco to the rescue. Want an elementary particle named after you? Cisco to the rescue. Want to see how you look in a parallel universe? Cisco to the rescue.
@@vaishnav_mallya What mattered to me is that he was funny and made this show worth watching. I was disappointed when they made him angry and depressed in a parallel universe, and after that it never really got back to normal. At least so far up to season 4, where I am currently at.
This goes to killer frost in season 3 where he moved someone out of the way of the blast but then a second later he stands still and let the blast hit him
it would be much better if in the beginning it showcases how absolutely fucking overpowered super speed is by catching every bad guy, and then make him go against harder challenges as the show goes on.
As a teen I was invested in trying to craft my own super-speed hero and one of the rules I came up with was they had to build up speed. Dodging a gunshot you just noticed in real-time while you were calmly standing still had low chances of succeeding. Also this made operating in tighter spaces like average hallways of a building or a single room limited.
@@dr.cheeze5382 that's still even the smaller stuff. 😅 I also had the rule that the "super speed" was a time warping effect that would cloak his body and any material he physically interacted with. This helped with certain scenarios where physics are important, such as: - Him reaching the speeds that would normally have serious external effects do not occur, such as sonic booms. - If he for whatever reason hit a wall or some other object while technically moving for instance at 100 km/h, the force he and the object would be affected by would only be that of what it would've been based on his natural speed without the time warp. - No matter how quickly he hit someone, the effect would only be that of his normal punch. This gave incentive to gain and sustain physical fitness. Though with enough speed, even average hits can overwhelm the best fighters. - He could not do the usual "HA! I simply grabbed your bullet out of the air"-trick or its like. The moment he in-super speed interacted with the bullet, his warp-cloak would affect it and the bullet's speed would adjust, most likely instantly tearing through whatever part of him touched it. So COMPLETELY avoiding projectiles was CRITICAL. Also what tempers all of this further is that your cognitive functions don't adjust equally. The levels of observation you'd have when running on a road compared to the same exertion plus warp-effect are not the same, a sort of tunnel vision forms and grows with the speed. So he should never attempt complicated tasks while in high super speeds.
Top from Undead Unluck is an interesting version of this. His power is to negate any forces that would slow him down, causing him to accelerate unstoppably until his “shape changes”, i.e. he breaks a bone. In fact, he is physically incapable of slowing down until this happens, able to change direction if he has something to kick off of but unable to lower his speed. To attack someone at lightspeed he basically had to have someone else distract the opponent while he ran all the way around the world to build up enough speed. And as to be expected, it utterly destroyed the target. Pretty fair example of superspeed with understandable drawbacks.
The show really needed to explain from the beginning that Barry had a limited stamina tied to his speedster powers. Like a huge hard cap where he could only go fast for a couple of minutes or in really short bursts and then would need to recharge for a day or more. Just something. Anything to explain the inconsistencies.
The limited stamina would still not explain any of the problems that I've seen in the video. "Normal dude with gun" and co, being an actual consistent threat being the most glaring example. The video even points out several instances where dude with gun could have been defeated, but Barry just chose not to. Although I haven't watched the show myself (and probably never will considering what I saw here), so I don't know if there is any real explanation for why Dude with Gun is a threat.
@@krishnansubramoni7801 Probably because he has a cold gun that can slow Barry down….which Barry can just steal it with his speed. In the comics from what I’m seeing Captain Cold does have a cold field that would slow down the Flash should the latter get close enough, but that’s never seen in the series.
Jojo's bizarre adventure actually does this. Jotaro has the ability to stop time, which would theoretically make him completely unbeatable. The reason he isn't is because it's established from the start that he can do so for only a few seconds at a time, meaning that smarter opponents can still work around this ability and hit him during his downtime. A pity the Flash doesn't have something like this though.
How to write Multiple man: Hidden main body. All fighting bodies are clones. The real body is multiplying somewhere else. Best option is in a mobile armored van close by. How to write Cold guy: Creates a field of active cold around himself causing frost and making Barry lose friction eating massive amounts of dirt. Frost is no joke. A zero friction speedster is useless. It's so simple!

Not only has this mad lad suffered through this season, he also did 2-4 and has confirmed he's watching 5 so we'll probably be getting coverage of that.

That would have been extremely interesting!

The writers of the flash were inspired by naruto's talk no jutsu
"I'll go talk to him" Or "Barry can I talk to You for a second?"
Why is that soooo fricking true?!?!
People with super speed basically have super strength because as everyone should know, faster things make more ouchie.

Possible villains that might actually work:
A riddler type guy that never shows himself and leaves bombs and traps around the city that require both brain and speed to disarm.
A character that is too heavy to carry too star labs, and too strong and durable to knock out unless Barry goes harder than he ever has. They almost had this with the colossus rip off.
Other things to counter Flash could be :
A smoke screened area. Literal silent hill Minecraft render distance tiny. Works best in a field with lots of boulders and twists and turns.
A slippery or sticky fluid on an entire room.
Anti-gravity trap that makes flash float. No ground = no run. Requires brain to get out
Anti-speed equipment. Like a tool that activates when it detects an object moving in hyper speed, it then triggers some scientific bullshit rendering the flash to run at normal speed, or freeze him where he stands.
A tool that gives the flash some latency and ping. Real life lag so he could have an excuse to his friends why he couldn't pick them up and relocate easily and why he trips, stumbles, and gets punched by normal speed punches and hits
Black hole. Not even the speed of light can escape it. Bye bye flash.
Hypnosis ability.
Mind control
Sleep ability
Cumomancy - the ability to make your opponent cum uncontrollably at your command. Top that.

@Christian Stewart well with the time thing at least it makes sense because the speed force will try to stop him. Why can’t he just use it in short bursts and catch any villain just like that? It’s just stupid.

You assumed, that the writers start with the question "who is the bad guy and how do we catch him?" and then go from there.
In reality they start with the question "how can we force as many _cool_ scenes and villains into one episode, without looking too desperate for approval?" and then go from there.

I decided to give it a shot, but as soon as the villain with the freeze gun showed up, I was like, "Wait, The Flash is faster than a bullet-how are these regular dudes beating him with a freeze gun?" It made no sense to me. When I asked my seniors about it, they just said, "You can't expect realism in superhero shows." That answer didn’t sit right with me, so I dropped the show then and there. It's been years since, and honestly, I still feel like I made the right call.

I agree.
Holy shit why aren't you a writer gor the show that's beautiful you should try writing ur own story ya feel cause that's a amazing idea
Please rewrite this entire show
I loved this alternative. Setting up a "skill curve" for Flash to make active effort to keep his speed working up keeps it very flexible and is potentially very satisfying. There's only _one_ problem, and you already have mentioned it: _"Make the fight become more complicated from there"._
Yeah, that is... that is a _very_ difficult thing to do with a speedster character, nerfed or not.
so its basically time stop of jotaro . needs to rest after using 5 sec of time stop
I see people bringing up its hard to write a story with op super speed but its not.
•Make a villain that’s not affected by flash super speed
• make them unable for the flash to relocate, like someone made of fire, water, or something he cant grab on
• make his no killing rule really stand out so we know why he holds back his punches and dont insta kill
• only show him truly dominating fodder throw away villains like captain cold or any regular human
• stop making him fight people who literally has no way of even seeing him move
• make the villains use more hostage scenes where barry has to go around the city and save people
• make the scale of villains bigger, these weak ass metas arent on the flash level, make him fight real aliens from the comics who actually pose a threat
• stop with the 24 episodes seasons and shorten it down to 13 episodes, save that extra budget for better writing and cgi and up the fight scenes
Or just limit his ability. Or make the antagonists smarter
It’s almost like there’s an entire comic full of interesting and well written scenarios that could have been used or learned from
"Make a villain that’s not affected by flash super speed" that isn't how speed works but I get what you mean and there is a villain like that.

You read it here folks: A teenager has a greater capacity for writing interesting heroes with limits to their powers than professional writers.
@@dr.cheeze5382 that's still even the smaller stuff. 😅
I also had the rule that the "super speed" was a time warping effect that would cloak his body and any material he physically interacted with. This helped with certain scenarios where physics are important, such as:
- Him reaching the speeds that would normally have serious external effects do not occur, such as sonic booms.
@@sugartoothYT that is actually very interesting and I'd love to see you do more with this idea.
@@DrGandW wow.
