      @@jumeauxelaine3960 This is why leading questions are banned in courtrooms during eye-witness testimonies.
      A leading question is a question with an implication that the information in the question was true for the question to be relevant (e.g. two cars simply touched each other, but a question implies they crashed by asking "before they 'crashed', what else did you see?". Therefore, the witness may believe they did crash as otherwise the question would be incorrect, or irrelevant).
      During memory reconstruction, extra details can become integrated into the reconstructed memory, thus creating a false memory of what really happened.
      Not relevant to the scene, I just thought I'd share that little bit of psychology

    • @Shadow-gc6le

      active camouflage like what's shown in the movie would need the same range as your screen to get the right range if tones. Not to mention that it's shown to have a contained atmosphere so they could go to some place like mars or some place with a yellow surface or hell anywhere where life could live. So having the range to make those colors with wearer input isn't out of possibility. Plus uses like standing out in disaster situations, fights, relief efforts, finding injured persons who are wearing the suit, or working on the floor of a ship bay where having bright colors would help with safety, or identification.

    "They are beating us over the head that it's the 90s"
    Do you think that's because...it's the 90s? Where was that sin in Captain America when we were "beaten over the head" that it's the 40s or in Guardians when we were "beaten over the head" that it's space? Point is these are the locations and times it chooses to live in and it's just embracing the setting (sometimes for laughs). The only reason it's a sin here is because Jeremy remembers the 90s and simply thinks every reference he remembers from the 90s in the film has to be "an orgy of evidence" when it's really just setting the scene or telling a joke!

The only thing that is strange is why she would need the Earths network to boost her signal as that is the only function it would serve and it would have to be transmitted like our signals yet reaches places faster than light. It could be argued that she only used our tech to repair her own but that is probably even more stupid. EXACTLY !!! I am so tired of people ( and pseudo-liberals ) trying to justify this film's and the character's mediocrity by saying , "uHm aCkcHyUaLlY iT iS ThE fIrSt mCu fIlm tO rEpResEnT a cErTaIn dEmoGrapHiC oF sOcIeTy " . Just because it is a first film to represent some community doesn't make up for all the demerits and flaws in a film which should be judged solely for its filmmaking , script , and performances . The reason that shit excuse worked for Wonder Woman and Black Panther was because those two films were actually great and had merit to them and the characters as well . And then there are these pseudo-liberals who label these people as sexist or misogynist because they have no logical counterpoint to these people's criticisms and call Captain Marvel great because she is the first strong female MCU character . Like , are you joking ? Black Widow and Wanda are not only much better characters than her but they also represent strong female characters much better because they do not use themselves being " strong female characters " as a marketing gimmick while this film does which in turn is detrimental to that representation because you are not passionate about making a great character but rather earn money off of who she is on the most basic and surface level and unlike Wanda and Natasha , you are basically forcing down the importance and reason of why Captain Marvel should be liked down other people's throats and that very rarely works if at all . The only characterization Carol as is that she is " a strong female character " and nothing else and has no flaws or struggles of her own doing . She is the perfect example of a Mary Sue . And the funny thing is , these pseudo-liberals ( including Jeremy from CinemaSins ) is that they themselves objectify and crack jokes about how useless Wanda or Natasha are . In fact , Jeremy used to earlier make sexist jokes about Black Widow and make other similar jokes but ever since he was blamed by someone that he sexually assaulted her and the MeToo movement has taken off , Jeremy is trying to act too much like a radical liberal and disliked the Joker ( and gave exactly the same reasons as to the media and the pseudo-liberals even though that wasn't the film's intention or message at all) and loved Captain Marvel ( and even said that Marvel finally had a strong female character in Captain Marvel as if it justifies all the jokes he made about Natasha or Wanda .
      And the worst part is these same hypocritical media houses and pseudo-liberal critics who say that honest opinions and feelings on movies should be allowed and literally harassed Zack Snyder for his work in BVS are now preaching how we shouldn't dehumanize one another and not hate upon or bully the cast and crew working on a film even though thats exactly what they did for BVS and even called Zack " selfish " for demanding his cut of Justice League ( after having lost his daughter ) and whatnot .

    You in fact can register details without consciously realizing it, so a tool that could allow looking though memories could conceivably allow you to sift through the parts you wanted. Back when I was learning Japanese, I would sometimes hear words and understand them without knowing how I'd learned them. When I looked them up to double-check, I would find them above or below other words I HAD looked up; my mind had noticed details on the page I'd not been looking for, so to me seeing things like that name tag is perfectly reasonable.

    • @Omegeddon

      Or even a "she knows what the name tag says because she had seen it before, even if she wasn't actively looking at it in that memory." As birdman points out, the machine was less a memory and more a dream of the memory and Carol's brain could easily fill in a detail like Mar-vell's name tag.

    I saw the "not good enough" montage as less of an accurate representation and more of how she saw those events. There could've been 20 people cheering her on, but she listened to the one person saying she would fail.
    I saw her story and growth as less of a weak person overcoming being weak, and more of a she was always strong but never accepted it or was willing to believe it, thing. How they showed that montage is exactly how it feels when you're depressed and dwelling on everything negative and hating yourself. At the end she learned to love and accept herself and her powers and was better for it.

    I kinda agree about the Tesseract being overused. I could be wrong, since I haven't seen all of the movies since my family and I watched them all in preparation for Infinity War, but I remember at least two movies where it was the main focus, and two more where it made a cameo. It just seems like it's the most popular stone to be in a movie, especially with it taking so many movies to learn about the Soul Stone alone. And with this movie and Guardians both featuring Kree (not to mention two notable Kree appearing in both movies) it would definitely have made more sense for the Power Stone to have given Carol her powers, considering the Power Stone's shtick is... well, power! I'm not 100% educated on Marvel and its characters and objects, especially when it comes to the comics, but I remember the movies showing the Space Stone just teleports you across space. The closest thing that Captain Marvel can do to that is fly. I liked the design of the Skrulls in the movie, but it was kinda meh for me. If the stone used had been Power instead of Space, AND had showed why it was on that planet, like you suggested, it would have gotten a few more points for me.
    Also, I'll admit I didn't watch Cinema Sins' video (mostly because I don't really like them) and I know you probably don't put all of his vid in your vid, but I'm surprised there wasn't even a mention of how Fury lost his eye. Had I been running Cinema Sins, that would have DEFINITELY gotten a sin from me -_-

I don’t know if this is considered a cliche, but this seems like that thing he does and that you point out where he constantly asks for an explanation, but then when there’s an explanation he either purposely ignores it, or sins it instead of removing a sin.

    This movie was amazing and that’s coming from a diehard dc fan such as myself. Apparently people think it has an agenda but I never noticed. Maybe cause I wasn’t looking for it but if you’re watching a movie or engaging in any form of entertainment looking for an agenda you’re doing it wrong.

    • @Th3Birdman
      @Th3Birdman  5 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      There was a bit of the feminist (3rd Wave) agenda in this film, such as the cringy "You're a woman, you don't belong here" and "You know why they call it a cockpit" lines that no human being would say, and then the whole "asking women to smile means they can steal from you" nonsense. I mean, it's there, and you'd have to actively be ignoring it not to notice. But none of that is what made the film less than stellar for me. I don't really care about political stances unless they get directed at me, as I am apolitical.

    • @JKBlackClover
      @JKBlackClover 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    • @Th3Birdman
      @Th3Birdman  5 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      I think when you are constantly inundated with the message that you are bad because you are a male, it starts to get really annoying. I mean, look at literally _any_ piece of media, and you will see that in situations where there are a man and a woman, the woman will be the straight man and the man will be the banana man. She will always be portrayed as more clever, stronger, and empowered, whereas the male will be shown as oafish, dumb, and evil, always looking to take advantage of the woman in some fashion.
      This has permeated most of American media: www.telegraph.co.uk/men/thinking-man/10692423/Why-are-men-on-TV-always-such-fools.html
      Then you have films like this, where it's going to be a mainstream success no matter what, and then they sneak in feminist talking points in a traditionally male dominated niche (comic books, action movies, comic book movies, superhero media), you're going to get a backlash. It is what it is...
