      We all do!!! Sooooo many great memories. Soooo many players, coaches came out of his camp!! I remember a game in the 80's vs the L.A. rams, he got escorted off the field by cops & security cause there was a threat against his life. Someone called in saying they were a well equipped & efficient sniper in the stadium looking to kill him. A couple of plays later (1 or 2) he demanded to go back on the field. They made him wear a bullet proof vest. 😮

    The game spoken of where Landry supposedly broke down in the locker room after a bad Steeler loss was Halloween 1965. 22-13. Dropped Dallas to 2-5. As a franchise since 1960 they were a lifetime 20-51-4 at that moment.
    Cowboys rallied and finished the season 7-7. A nice 5-2 run. They would not finish .500 or below for the next 20 years

      Could've had a winning record in 1986 if Danny White doesn't get hurt too.

    The New York Football Giants had Tom Landry as a defensive coordinator and the offensive coordinator was some guy named Lombardi....not too shabby.

      and neither of them became the Giants head coach, they missed the playoffs 17 consecutive years 1964-1980. Never won double digits until 1985

      My dad was very much like him. Same age and both WWII bomber pilots. Neither one talked about the war unless asked. Both were from Texas, went to Texas University, extremely successful,winners, smart, somewhat stoic, always conducted themselves properly, and worked hard.

    Do you know what music track plays at 0:44?

    • @rog9601
      @rog9601  ปีที่แล้ว

      Chances are pretty good if you listen to the NFL Films "Autumn Thunder" music, you will hear it. The Shazam app could help, but there may not be enough silence from the narrator for it to recognize it.

    • @fortynights1513

      @@rog9601 Thank you for the suggestions, but just went through every track in the Autumn Thunder series and it’s not there.
      Also, a track recognition software didn’t detect an even better quality version of this video.
      Do you know which music libraries they used for music they didn’t compose themselves or what artists they used for their synthesizers?
