You did it! You made it through another winter. There is nothing better than a warm Spring walk, and it's a rare treat to have the beach to yourself. The reason why people were staring at you wasn't your dress -- it was because they saw a young, beautiful girl full of life. I'll bet they were all trying to remember the lyrics from "Girl from Ipanema." 😉 My grandmother had that same milk glass swan! I was such a little teenage stinker that I would paint the eyes on it with bright red nail polish to make it look evil. I've actually inherited the thing and the bright white is off-putting to me as well. I was thinking of painting mine with a cheap nail polish topper to tone it down a bit, since historically it sticks so well.😆

Yesterday was like the day you experienced in this video, simply beautiful...cold to start but warmed up in the afternoon. My husband and I met our son in Edinburgh and after lunch, we took a walk to a lovely little district called Stockbridge, only a 20 min walk from Edinburgh city centre. All of the flowering trees were out in their glory and everything is finally greening up. So beautiful. We were so glad to take advantage of the weather because we are today back also to cloudy and cold weather and for the rest of the week.

P.S. Get well with your cold and plenty of health as well! You can try Mānuka honey from New Zealand with some chamomile tea for a speedy recovery! That honey works wonders in case of cold, from my personal experience.
