- Modified Hedman fenderwell headers with collectors extending under the frame. Using 2 90-degree exhaust elbows and a vband flange per side I turn the fenderwell headers under the frame to allow me to run an exhaust inside the frame rails on my sbc s10.
I used hi temp epoxy when I put collectors back on worked good nice work on exhaust
Did it help them "not leak"? I'll check it out
@@304customsgarage so far it’s working good
Hello i've been waiting for you, chances are you figured out early your long tube header choices were limited as in Hedman fenderwell or make your own (no thanks). I ended up with the 2" primary tubes with 3.5" collector for spread port exhaust, coating was by Swain Tech White Lightening rated to 3000 degrees, they are white but can be painted any color with good hi temp paint, as the surface has a lot of texture. These were 500.00 to coat with the collectors welded on . Would have been additional if I left the collectors seperately. Where normal coating is applied 2 thousands thick the stuff is real ceramic glass applied in molten form 15 thousands thick. The stuff literally welds to your headers, absolute the best at lowering under hood temps. Have had it on my snowmobile pipe for the last ten years and looks like the day I put it on .
Thanks for the reply! It sounds like it holds up well. That's impressive to last 10 years and still look good
Great Video !
Thanks!
Been watching a bunch of your videos. What size wheels and tires are you running front and rear? I'm starting a swap and I'm trying to get an idea for them. I'm doing a 355/350 full manual valve body trans.
Thanks for watching! On The front I have a 15x4 wheel and 26x7.5x15 tire. On the back I have a 15x10 wheel with 6.5 backspace and a 275/60/15 tire
@@304customsgarage thank you. I'm just getting started with my build and your channel comes up a lot.
Hopefully you'll find something helpful on here if needed. I haven't finished my build yet but hope to get started on it again soon. I have a good bit left to do.
@@304customsgarage after your wiring video I feel a whole lot better about gutting mine. Your channel is very helpful.
Thanks, the wiring stuff isn't that bad really just kind of got rid of stuff not needed if you're running a carb and some mechanical gauges. All the lights, fuel level, etc should still work and I am planning to use the factory speedometer also.
Didn't hear you mention which crossmemver was being used?
I have a video on my channel where I installed a new crossmember but the one I'm using is the summit branded (Gforce) one for th350 transmissions. They (summit/gforce) make a few different crossmembers for different transmissions.
How is yours coming along lately? Mine is stalled waiting for the engine to be complete. Hopefuly by July I will be on the road.
Good to hear! mine is also stalled currently awaiting headers to come back from coating and some time alotted for parts install. I have alot to do still it seems to get it the way I'd like for now.
Where in wv are you located. Im in Pawpaw WV
