The problem isn’t the looks, but the pacing. From the name, it appears season 1 will cover volume 1 of the novel which is 200+ chapters. Albeit those chapters are short in relation to other works, it will still be hard to fit in 1 season (which average 24 episodes).

The studio did a really well done adaptation with Founder of Diabolism tho but its much easier to get the pacing right for that cuz they made 3 seasons for less than 200 episodes
The 2nd trailer is already out and it's the same studios that made mo dao zu shi, king's avatar and a will eternal so tye animation will definitely be great.
Lord of the Mysteries is best Light Novel I read, and I read a lot of them. Just the attention to details is imaculate, and when you think that you finally found some plot holes, it just happens to be a plot device for future. Cannot wait for anime to drop, hope they do it justice.

The visuals are so beautiful and stunning! The setting is Steampunk Victorian era with Lovecraft horror and pirates. In book1 at least
I can not believe there will be an anime for the Lord of The Mysteries !!! This one is one of the big 3 from the webnovel world. Together with Renegade Immortal and Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint. The three of them are Hailed as some of the best stuff you can read online. I would put Er Gen's work to that too. And that is all I wanted to say :D

What can I say, even the side characters in the novel are smarter than 95% of main characters or antagonists I see in anime lol
