This is from the Rodgers and Hart Special from 1967. Included the Mamas and the Papas and Petula Clark. Too bad the soundtrack was never released, although the Supremes did an album of R and H songs. Coming upon this tonight just reminded me just how wonderful this was when it was first aired on television. Bobby Darin just swings and watching him snap his fingers is awesome. Bobby sure did break barriers because he never saw eyesight towards race and he himself had a diverse style within his persona and his musical taste and if you think about it.. he was kinda considered to be an honorary black-man. The reason why I say that is because he had the kinda groove that most people of his generation didn't have because while they were cold and stiff he was hot and a-moovin' and a-groovin' to the music like it was no one's business and he did it with profound attitude :) Plus he got Sammy Davis to play at the Copacobana 1960 even though the club owner said no, it was Bobby's idea of overcoming outdated policy :)
