Bobby Darin just sends me over the edge. I love his voice, his moves, how he improvises. Absolutely one of my favorite singers of all time. Diana has such an incredible voice, so clean and echos almost, naturally. amazing number.

Damn Darin is so freaking smooth and magical. The Supremes were at their best. People who ridicule have no clue what a legend Darin was in the music industry -- even Sinatra and Presley loved this guy.

@@johnlewis9745 idk why Sinatra had to be jealous of Darrin - without Sinatra there’d be no Bobby Darrin.. Bobby Darrin was young enough to be Franks son as Frank is nearly 22 years older than Bobby

@@arlenecerf8833 It could well be that Sinatra’s best days were gone and Darin was still getting better. Sinatra wasn’t a nice man so maybe he was jealous. Whether he used some of Sinatra’s technique I don’t know, but Sinatra was not an original either. Nobody is ! Anyway, whilst I respect your views I don’t agree with them.

Bobby Darin was a class act.
Holding hands with Diana Ross, at the height of segregation took
enormous courage. The sponsors of the show would've hated it.
Like his idol Frank Sinatra, Bobby loathed racism.
    Great stuff.

styminho, Darrin sure did understand black and white music, and even marched with 'MLK'. I LOVED seeing him on t.v. back in the day, and his 'chemistry' with black singers was amazing to watch. Talent like his is very sadly lacking these days, and his kind of music will NEVER be repeated again in our life time. Truly one of the greats.

You must be out of your mind: 'underrated'?? By WHO...not by the public and certainly NOT by the MUSICIANS. In case you didn't know: SINATRA built his TOTAL STAGE ACT around the way of presentation of BD. As a TOTAL PACKAGE I rate him higher than SINATRA. But then of course FS had this MAFIA OMNI PRESENT PERSONALITY. As far as MUSIC EARS are concerned I put BOBBY easily as the NUMBER TWO behind NAT KING COLE. Sinatra is for ME number THREE!! Again: BD HAS NEVER BEEN AN UNDERRATED ARTIST!!

Don't agree he was the "most" underrated singers, but let's face but, BD is not as easily recognizable today as FS, even though BD was a much better, more talented entertainer..actor, songwriter, musician, and singer..BD could sing any genre of music...how many singers do you know of back then or today that can do that?? Most of today's pop singers are a joke!! IMHO

This is from the Rodgers and Hart Special from 1967. Included the Mamas and the Papas and Petula Clark. Too bad the soundtrack was never released, although the Supremes did an album of R and H songs. It was a nice way of introducing these classic songs of R and H to the next generation. A classy show.

Coming upon this tonight just reminded me just how wonderful this was when it was
first aired on television. Bobby Darin just swings and watching him snap his fingers is awesome. The end of the song is great and the length of time he held that note is mind blowing when you consider that fact that Bobby had health problems and suffered from breathlessness at times. In the era - he shunned in his CLASS and Lifted the Bar - giving obvious Respect to these Ladies of Talent

Bobby sure did break barriers because he never saw eyesight towards race and he himself had a diverse style within his persona and his musical taste and if you think about it.. he was kinda considered to be an honorary black-man. The reason why I say that is because he had the kinda groove that most people of his generation didn't have because while they were cold and stiff he was hot and a-moovin' and a-groovin' to the music like it was no one's business and he did it with profound attitude :) Plus he got Sammy Davis to play at the Copacobana 1960 even though the club owner said no, it was Bobby's idea of overcoming outdated policy :)
