    Wow, that's such a great reframing of failure. Most people don't even try out the things they love because of fear of failure. But if you see failure as progress that's gonna change your entire life. Yes to failure and growth!!🙏

    "Your passion is for you, your purpose is for others"

    • @Nawaf-
      @Nawaf- 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think that’s wrong. Your passion IS your purpose. You can’t be good at anything without passion.
      So, in the end, your passion is for you and others.
      Again, your purpose is your passion.

      If you don’t follow your passion, you are in the wrong path... We have endless examples of this. Your best teacher has passion in teaching. Your worst teacher hates his job and wishes to do something else but is only teaching for salary. No passion = bad

    As a parent I completely agree with *the parenting strategy* that she's talking about, cuz I use a similar version with my own daughter to always ask,
    *"what did you learn"*
    when she gets hurt or when something happens to encourage her to think about what she learned from that experience. Though I'm not going to deny that it's such a *force of habit* with me in second nature to ask that question to my daughter that *I've even adopted it* to myself when something happens to me, 😅😅😅

    I disagree that fear of failure is about embarrassment for everyone. That is true if you are privileged to have savings or a supportive family to fall back on. But if failure means you cannot feed or shelter yourself or your family, it is a completely different barrier than embarrassment.

    I don't think spanx is something to be proud of, its all about women not accepting their bodies or trying to conform to what 'normal' or what 'healthy' looks like without putting in the hard work of going to the gym. Spanx is about conformity, not freedom. On the other hand, I would of course congratulate her on her business success.

      More about con-firm-ity. Lol. I think of the garments as therapeutic pressure sleeves like those thunder vests for scared chihuahuas.
