Uhaul is crazy about trailer rental liability. Wouldn't rent me any trailer for my 2008 Explorer because of an OEM tire recall....even if you have new tires...lol.
Limiting strap + 2" subframe drop will def improve CV axle and diff stress, good idea. Those CVs are at a gnarly angle. Can't wait to see more of these monsters!!!
Tip for doing quick self alignment on front end. Either two bits of mdf about as wide as the rim and tyre tyre diameter and coming about half way up the wheel. or steel or aluminium with slots cut for two tape measures measure the front axle (each tyre pair front and rear with each tape measure). get a couple of mm of toe in and your pretty much good. You can shoot a laser off the rear end to the front with steel plates and measure the difference the laser is off each front wheel with the same steel plate on the front wheel as on the rear (thats the beauty of steel plates) and align the rear aswell this way. On the rear you need to shoot a laser to the front and use the tape measure method. The front you dont really need too as long as the wheels are point straight and you even them out just tape measures and plates is good enough.
You could use a zip tie or construction tie wire for rebar

Uhaul will rarely turn you down if you are going to pick up a 72 beetle or a geo metro, just incase you NEED a trailer.
They also won't deny you if you have to tow a miata.

After nearly 1,000 miles of gravel driving, the passenger side tie rod unscrewed it’s self from the steering rack. All I had to do was screw it back in fortunately. The videos will come about the adventure! Haha

Count the exposed threads on the tie rod before removing it next time? Count the exposed threads on the opposite side? Just a thought over eyeballing it
