"Autumn Leaves" is a popular song and jazz standard composed by Joseph Kosma (Hungarian-French composer) with original lyrics by Jacques Prévert in French, and later by Johnny Mercer in English.

I live in a place in Normandy near the little village where the french singer, Yves Montand, had his house. This song (in french "Les feuilles mortes") was one of his favorit songs. I just have to open my windows and I am sure that he listen to you playing tenor sax. The way you play is very close to the original one. Thank you for this and continue to put on YT beautiful backing tracks..

I had an olds when in band and my buddy had a silver selmer ( both trumpets.
Then when my son went in band he chose the sax and this was the song his jazz band played for the public.

There are many great horns around but there is no replacement for a Selmer 5 digit serial number horn. Although some other horns have a great sound and you might even prefer them over a Selmer as many players do, no horn feels like a Selmer in your hands. Your fingers lay on the keys like no other horn with great comfort and control.

I knew it! a beyer ribbon. The sound is to a certain extent the result of the microphone--it has a strong proximity effect and rolled off treble. A bit less so here, though, as the beyerdynamic he is using is a cardiod ribbon, reducing the proximity effect (distance-based bass boost). Don't beat yourself up if your tone isn't as smooth--he doesn't sound this way either. Not dissing him, obviously it still sounds incredible, a result of years of practice, it's just that it's ridiculous to expect this degree of smoothness in real life.
